Guys apologies for going over this again because I wasn’t able to reply to my earlier post. I seem to be the only person on the forum that thinks Shankland is better than any striker we currently have at the club. Fair enough.
Personally think you all have the blue tinted glasses on. So can anyone tell me which attribute that Colak posses that is better than Shankland?
Cos I’ve seen him quite a bit and he is faster, stronger, more physical, holds the ball better, links play better, has better positioning, is better in the air and strikes the ball just as well. He can play as a 9 or a 10
And most importantly is a leader and has scored against everyone in this league. Might be wrong but think he scored a hattrick against Celtic.
I can’t think of a single attribute where Colak comes out on top.
But would be interested to see what I’m missing.

Goal conversion per shots ( means he’s more clinical )
Better pass accuracy
Wins more aerial duels
And scored more goals.
Colak comes out in top in:-
Wins more ground duels
Scores every 123 minutes ( instead of Shanklands 127 minutes ) .
Incoming parameter changes shortly. ?
Still prefer Colak as he’s done it for Rangers in CL qualifiers. Each to their own opinion though. ?.

Colak is a 74 in FIFA, and he's reached his peak.
Shankland is a 73 and he's got the potential to be a 74.
Happy to share FIFA stats on any other players.
I'd happily take Shankland as a squad player, but at this point on time I think money is better spent elsewhere.

We can debate it till we are blue in the face but the manager stated no striker in Scotland outwith them was any better than what we have. That tells me he doesn’t think shankland nisbett etc…. We’re good enough.
Shankland ain’t good enough for us and I haven’t got blue tinted specs on It’s just my opinion.
Ps Dykes who I don’t think is good enough keeps him out the Scotland team. If he was as good as you say then he should be a starter for Scotland.

Shankland was available on a free 2 years ago while gerrard was manager and we didn't want him. Hearts would want £3m + for him. I agree he would be a solid option to have (still not convinced with colak) but for the price no.

Because a game is 90mins OT therefore if someone says 18 goals in 39 games it can be misleading. So if someone was to say he played 2200 mins over 39 games and scored 18 goals that is a more accurate reflection.
2200 mins over 39 games ÷ 18 goals = a goal every 122 mins, very impressive.
But if we were to say 39 games x 90 mins = 3510 mins ÷ 18 goals = a goal every 195 mins, not so impressive.
Do you see how terminology can be misleading?
It just a more accurate picture OT.

The parameters have been changed by some as Colak is the new Golden Boy, Orange Tinted. ?
I've always used the tried and tested goals per game. But each to their own.
And as I've said previously, 18 in 39 is pretty decent.
But Cilak can't hold a candle to Roofe who scored a goal a very 44 minutes last season?.

I'd prefer Shanks to Colak, but wouldn't spend the money Hearts would want for him. I'd rather we sold Colak and put the money towards a top striker.
