Glad to get through last night, regardless of next round results that's 7.5 million bagged. Thoughts on game don't think we played bad at all. Just think our front 3 are struggling all thenlads we paid money for. Danilo was unluckly bounced off his studs. We were playimg such a high line in thr 1st half goldson was constantly letting them in. Tav struggled defensively yet as he does time and again pop up with important goal ( easy money 7/ 2 anytime) . Lammers came on and his touch and effort i thot was really lacking. Dessers also pretty poor. Positives. Butland was incredible just what we've been missing in a keeper for over a year now, borna i thot played brilliant best game in a long time. Cantwell just doing cantwell things, niko raskin 2nd half of the game probably covered every blade of grass some shift. And leaving cifuentes until last, as had my own personal doubts about him but over last week i have no doubt he will he a top player for us and make us a good healthy profit when he moves on. Roll on PSV.

Agree Paul. Our front 3 are struggling massively. I know we play with introvert wingers but with our full backs getting slower there’s no width or support. Who knows. Maybe it will get better.

Butland was good, tavernier struggled but scored far too bulky, goldson ok, souttar ok, barasic good, Jack quiet, raskin good Cifuentes good Cantwell good, sima ok Danilo I think struggled to hold ball up at times I’m not sure he suits being a loan striker. Delighted to be through another tough 90 minutes under our belts let’s hope we can continue to improve.

Cifuentes is a mainstay and looks like he has played for us for years. Nails the myth that players need time to settle. He’s a player.

Thought we did well to get through, looked a bit ropey for periods in the first half.
We were after that cash pot so the tie was an important one for Beale and the club.
It's obvious we're not the finished article but you can see the makings of a team you could travel with at a decent level.
The next tie will let us know where where we are in the pecking order.
Not sure if PSV are genuine CL standard or not?
They look decent quality middle to front but defensively they can and will be exploited by the top sides.

I thought Dessers showed a bit of improvement last night, was a bit unlucky on a couple of occasions, maybe could have done better but overall I thought he looked a bit hungrier.

Paul I agree with everything you said. Butland for me is as good a keeper as Rangers could attract. The thing about the front 3 is that we don’t appear to have someone who can hold the ball in and billy defenders, allowing the midfielders to get into attacking positions. For all his faults Alfie played that role brilliantly. We just have to find a different way.

It’s not a myth that some players take time to settle into a new club environment.
No fan knows for sure what’s going on in the background with some players.
It’s August let the players settle down before you dismiss them as failures.

Sima, wrong choice of words from, me just saying that Cifuentes has settled right into the team from day one. Shows it can be done but take your point we don’t know what goes on in the background with players when they come to Rangers.
