Any news on the kad Jordan Thomson. Does Warburton see him as part of his plans this season or continue to loan out for experience?
1.) 11 Jan 2017 10:41:52
Was playing for Raith Rovers against falkirk the other day and was getting pelters on the commentary
2.) 11 Jan 2017 11:53:04
I was at the game on Saturday the whole team were poor after 20 mins and JT was relatively quiet, I for one would like to see him get a good run in the first team (no doubting his potential) and has been a good performer for Raith this year, Hardie was also quiet and never offered much don't think MW sees a future for him tbf
11 Jan 2017 10:10:08
Apparently Wenger is keen to let Mertesacker out on loan. Honestly I've no had a drink since Xmas day. Chances?
1.) 11 Jan 2017 10:14:53
thought it could be a potential move for us, maybe wenger has put him on the market to goad us into asking for him in dire need of a no nonsense towering cb
2.) 11 Jan 2017 10:38:53
Wenger said he's no willing to let him go to another epl side aswell. Apparently training with Bournemouth the now. Wouldn't be that surprising.
3.) 11 Jan 2017 11:02:22
Would rather have John terry
4.) 11 Jan 2017 11:15:49
john terry won't leave chelsea i don't think and his wages would be a major stumbling block
5.) 11 Jan 2017 11:43:38
Mertesacke is incredible at reading the game. great defensive player but is far too slow, arsenal got away with a lot because of the pure pace that bellerin has to get back and cover, sadly we do not have that, especially if warbs keeps playing tav a rb. i would never turn away a player of mertesacke calibre but i just don't know if he is the player to help. coming from a rangers and arsenal fan
6.) 11 Jan 2017 12:05:52
i would take mertesacker as a sweeper in a back 3 any day of the week alongside kiernan and hill, would be 10x better than what we currently have, wilson is easily up there with one of the worst performers of the season in the SPL this year, he is only good at passing the ball, his awareness and pace and tackling are simply not good enough, atleast kiernan is dangerous in the air and has had some promising looking games alongside hill this season
7.) 11 Jan 2017 13:43:40
Good in the air Kiernan? he's scored 1 header from a set play in 18mnths and we've conceded umpteen goals from corners. u no stopped bevvying from xmas?
8.) 11 Jan 2017 14:53:37
U want mertesacker as a sweeper and then go on to say Wilson is one of the worst performers lmao. Do you even know a sweepers job?
9.) 11 Jan 2017 15:42:00
yeah kiernan is actually pretty good in the air, and you only have to watch a game without trying to pick every negative out to notice this, as for wilson, he literally has been one of the worst players in the squad this season, he has a 50p for a head and is an absolute bombscare, kiernan on the other hand only looks to be exploited when tavernier plays alongside him
10.) 11 Jan 2017 20:21:28
ASC-RFC1 Kiernan is good in the air when the ball is coming straight down the middle. If its coming in from the side he is a nightmare. He constanty ball watches and his positional sense is atrocious as is his passing. Wilson on the other hand is good with the ball at his feet. And along with McKay is one of the few we have in the team that can spray a 50-60 yard pass accross the field.
27 Dec 2016 15:42:30
Watching wee Anya just now. Just reinforces what i said a few weeks back about pushing the boat out to get him. Would also let Mckay step into the midfield (10) which is honestly where i see him flourishing over his career. Showed his range of passing abd technical ability over the last few weeks but just feel he lacks that extra wee bit of decisiveness to get past players. Thoughts?
1.) 27 Dec 2016 16:37:49
Interesting but don't think he is good enough or would add anything to the team.
2.) 27 Dec 2016 21:27:30
Personally Bryan I'd take Anya in a heartbeat followed his career over the last 2/ 3 years a guy with pace to burn and isn't afraid to take a man on to the byline. Plus if i'm not mistaken he was often used as a wingback with Watford before moving up. Good wee player who can play a couple of different positions.
If he could add a few more goals to his game then he would be a 10 mill player mark my words look at Matt Ritchie or Matty Philips (who of course Strachan still overlooks) as an example.
3.) 28 Dec 2016 16:04:33
Bryan1978, i totally reiterate what you're saying regarding young barrie mckay playing in the proper no.10 role (the hole/ attacking midfield, free role position)! If you look back my posts of many months ago i've continually said this. Barrie mckay has everything to be able to play there, his technique and vision/ passing range is quite superb! He's our andreas iniesta if you like! This is where i also see barrie mckay playing in the future with us and whoever else once he leaves us! Barrie mckay can undoubtedly do the same job for rangers as the great, world class iniesta has done for barcelona and spain for many years!
23 Dec 2016 21:34:13
Correct me if i'm wrong here. But can anyone remember another early kick off game on a saturday that's no been shown on either bt or sky sports. I know there's a split when it comes to games shown etc but i'm no sure I've seen rangers and them kick off the same time on a Saturday and us no being on the tele.
1.) 23 Dec 2016 22:19:34
Stream it mate.
2.) 23 Dec 2016 22:25:27
You got a stream?
3.) 23 Dec 2016 22:41:56
It usually streams the Rangers TV coverage.
4.) 23 Dec 2016 22:47:26
Sometimes it's a great stream, other times its pish but it's usually on.
5.) 24 Dec 2016 08:44:04
The game was originally going to be played at 3pm but both clubs asked to play early so fans can get home early for Christmas.
6.) 24 Dec 2016 10:09:58
If you have kodi frontrowsports. eu are normally reliable. Link is already up here's hoping it's a good one.
7.) 24 Dec 2016 11:16:27
Mamahd also pretty reliable.
19 Nov 2016 15:54:45
Mols albertz novo would aw get into this team.
1.) 19 Nov 2016 17:25:38
Mols Novo and Albertz would get in any Rangers team! 3 of my favourite players ever.
2.) 19 Nov 2016 18:29:07
loved albertz as a player.
3.) 19 Nov 2016 18:44:23
Think he means just now lol.
4.) 19 Nov 2016 19:05:13
Mols 4 goals against Motherwell at Ibrox when Goram was in goal for them. One of my favourite memories at Ibrox.
Such a waste of talent when that German f*€+#r crunched him.
5.) 20 Nov 2016 22:57:40
bob malcolm would get in this team.
11 Nov 2016 14:47:58
Just a quick gauge of opinion here. Would it be beyond the realms of possibility to see Sir Walter back at the helm?
1.) 11 Nov 2016 15:53:22
Walter is gone for good, he's retired and another thing yes we all loved Walter but he had plenty of money to buy good players unlike warburton, how about getting behind warburton and give him time to build something good at the club, because that's what he's trying to do, but he's been very unlucky with his summer signings regarding injury and the Barton saga, but it's only my opinion and every fan has a right to voice theirs too.
2.) 11 Nov 2016 16:36:08
I am behind warburton. But i'm not having this "unlucky with injuries" malarky, and certainly not with the barton episode. He signed off on these guys, knowing there history with injures etc. Ie crooks Rossiter windass kranjcar Barton. All signed and unfit to start the campaign.
3.) 11 Nov 2016 16:56:32
Jesus Christ how old is Walter Smith? his football was rank and relied on individual players to win trophies, he doesn't have the likes of davis, mendes, ferguson, mcgregor, Hutton anymore.
4.) 11 Nov 2016 17:03:46
Agree cee I don't think sir Walter would do any better than Warburton with the players we have at this moment in time.
5.) 11 Nov 2016 17:12:13
Cee your comments his football was rotten got us trophies galore and a UEFA cup final. Perhaps you would prefer the utter dross we are watching at present? MW could not turn this around with 50 million
Simply out his depth. Unhappy players and a dressing room in revolt he, s doing a grand job
I would take Walter and Sir Alex team.
6.) 11 Nov 2016 17:33:00
Nobodys talking about money or age. Its the mentality we need. A fighting spirit. A Rangers man. An ethos. Something we don't have at present.
7.) 11 Nov 2016 18:03:27
Agree lads he'd certainly make us harder to beat, can't believe some on here are happier having 60 % possesion than winning games.
8.) 11 Nov 2016 18:18:57
Gents the felling is that MW has lost confidence of the team and the fans. I will support the manager 100% as long as he is in position but its clear as day he is struggling to get the best out of the team so if you examine why that is let's look at the facts. MW has arrived at Rangers from a very small English club won nothing, he has had the second highest spend in the SPL and we look like top 6 would be an achievement of current form. Style of play is alien to most of our squad, some mental passages of play because they are scared at times to play the long ball. Daft situations getting our self's into trouble because we are feart to play it long. Corners are a non event, Defending corners is a lottery. Have you seen the keeper take a high ball out the air. I get the feeling the players at the start thought all this monitoring of hydration rates and training methods would make them better players, so far we have not looked any better that some of the teams who don't undertake anything like this. The cup final against Hibbs we looked a mile off the pace for fitness, we were heavy legged from the first 10 minutes.
Guys just suppose MW experiment goes T1TS up where do we go from there. New manger and start again
DK needs to offer a substantial funding package and the fans also need to invest again. My concern would be MW judgment as so far the system and the players have not worked in the SPL.
9.) 11 Nov 2016 19:32:19
we are not talking about a team that has scaled the heights and is on the wane, we are talking about the team that has just come up a division . We nearly disappeared because of a crazy financial model t, the players we have are just not the quality we once had but we need to take it slowly and keep an eye on the bottom line .
10.) 11 Nov 2016 23:02:19
When Sir Walter was Scotland manager we were almost there. I'd love him to give it another go as he motivates players but, I can already hear the fans of other clubs going on about how he left to bail out RFC. Peter Lawwell wouldn't agree to it anyway so it's a no go.
11.) 12 Nov 2016 14:55:34
Couldn't go back to that football and wouldn't want him risking his legendary status. I imagine at 68 the job would be too much hassle.
12.) 12 Nov 2016 15:05:28
Yes bryan 1978,i don't think there's any chance that sir walter will be back as our manager. I truly hope not but i think derek mcinnes will be the next rangers manager, how soon, i honestly don't know. I do know a few of our directors rate mcinnes very highly. I also know for a fact that both walter smith and sir alex ferguson rate derek mcinnes highly and walter has actually tipped mcinnes, to be a future glasgow rangers manager!
13.) 12 Nov 2016 17:35:37
Totally with delboy9 on this. Couldn't have put it better myself. Nothing more to add!
14.) 14 Nov 2016 13:29:23
ballocks saying walter wasn't a great manager and it was all down to individual players. then u go on to name quite a few that played in the same side lol plus walter took us to Manchester don't forget that.
people argued with his tactics but they worked up until the final obviously. but naw he wouldn't come back and i want everyone to support the man in charge at the moment.
11 Jan 2017 13:48:40
The scarier thing would be ( if true ) is why does MW need to source young players from down south when we have a multitude of our own home grown from Auchinhowie.
Warburton has made his feelings clear on the youth policy and it scares me to think that whilst under his tenure at Ibrox the boys who we have and are coming through clearly aren't being given a chance
08 Dec 2016 20:00:37
Would push the boat out for wee akichi anya or aluko.
20 Nov 2016 21:18:17
The day we start getting excited about loan signings is the day we should call it a day. Watburton had pretty much disregarded the youth set up at Rangers and loaned out some of our best prospects. We need to let our youth flourish and show some faith in them. This english loan deal set up is not what we need to get back to the top.
19 Nov 2016 15:46:47
Another 45mins of absolute rubbish.
19 Nov 2016 01:02:10
Id. rather spend that. wage packet on micah richards.
24 Feb 2017 10:46:11
Id go with that aswell. But replace Hill with the young lad Myles Beerman. Looks a fantastic prospect. Bates and Beerman together would bring energy and hunger into a side who look like there only there for the cheque. Heads need to start rolling at Ibrox. Whether its from the captain or the manager i don't know but the current squad need a severe wake up call
18 Feb 2017 14:06:35
Alnwick Hodson Hill Wilson / Bates Wallace Hyndman Windass Toral Mckay Miller Waghorn 4-4-2
16 Feb 2017 10:32:38
Surely there should be something legal that says if you try and sign for another club whilst employed at a club, then that employment contract is void. Cannot have your cake and eat it sorry.
06 Feb 2017 17:28:20
Spent 1.8 million on Garner. Rest my case.
04 Feb 2017 19:03:23
Subs Klos Papac Ferguson Mols Jelavic
