I posted this morning and it seems like what I said is now gathering pace. I fully expect Michael Beales appointment tomorrow evening. Knutsen was not keen to leave Bodo Glimt which tells me what I need to know about him as they are 18 points adrift in Norway and Conference League bound for another year. I don't believe the board met with Dyche at all. It is true Farioli, Seaone and also another name Walter Zenga all showed an interest to the board but Michael Beale was always the number 1 choice and the only thing that held back Gios sacking was this was not a majority decision until late on Sunday evening.

Beale hasn't won any of his last 5 games if that's the mind of appointment we are making that worries me.

IMO we need a strong character that will put a rocket up some butts and i don't see him doing that.

My understanding right now the interest in Seoane was the other way around. That we were interested in him and ended with Seoane turning us down. I’ll double check with my source tomorrow when I see them to confirm and post then.

However what I do know for certain is Beale was not number 1 choice that’s not to say he will not get the job but I know that we have definitely offered 2 others (not including Seonane) the role before offering Beale it (if we do offer Beale it) .

I’ve also heard that the board/ Wilson are split on options, Wilson was pushing for Hasenhutl (the ex Southampton boy) but the board weren’t sold on him so never got off the ground.

Knutsen could happen bodo's season has just ended. And because he's 15 points behind dosent mean anything as they done what we done and sacrificed the league for Europe after they had beaten celtic in the conference league.

Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson are both in London today to meet with Michael Beale and Neil Banfield his assistant. It is my understanding that if Beale takes the job which is highly likely with a severance package in place already with QPR he will also bring Tom Culshaw with him back to Ibrox.

I am lead to believe if Beale wants the job he has full backing from the rangers hierarchy.

I am worried that Beale wouldn't have the presence that we need but there certainly isn't many better coaches around. Wpuld have my full backing but really hope we have a thorough recruitment process before just appointing someone the board know.

Tough one to take we need something fresh and with new ideas. Beale does not provide that. Only reason I can see the board bringing him in is he’s worked with these players before and won’t come in demanding a major clear out. It doesn’t excite me at all.

I hope that we get clarity and honesty from the board should Beale/ or whoever is selected - in that we should know if the man has full command of new player selection otherwise, we will end up in a similar position that Gio found himself in.
Good player purchase is required and not a scattergun approach as we obviously need to get rid of many and bring in those who want to play for our club and obviously make the team better too.
Its simplistic but it is where we have fallen behind over last few years - the club cannot stagnate and must continually strive to improve all areas, be ruthless and not give out contacts willynilly to older stalwarts- however sentimental it may be!
I still have concerns if Wilson is our main man in the selection process.

Fresh ideas to a point, . for example Arteta and Wenger's philosophy quite similar (bar inverting FB sometimes) but is now being well implemented. Beale a very good appointment in my opinion.

Beale is the easy option, record is no better than Warburton at QPR and going by their last 6 games they have the worst form in the league.

Why pay compo for Beale when you could put that money towards Dyche’s wages?

Dyche will gain respect from the off, His football might not be too pretty but he knows how to get the job done as he proved time and again at Burnley a team who should be nowhere near the English premiership.

Let’s just see the boards ambition, Beale left us not long ago when he could have threw his hat in the ring to be our new manager a year ago. Did Walter leave when Souness left us in the lurch? No he threw his hat in the ring and the rest is history.

I'm hearing that we are definitely in the market for at least 2 new incomings.

Barkley is one we are interested in although there are a few sticklers at the minute. Wouldn't be surprised to see this done late in the window tomorrow night.

Hearing there could be a late push for another CB as Katic has left and souttar is a fair bit away.

Stewart would be a step in the wrong direction in my opinion. Great grafter and runs all day but he lacks the composure to lead the lead in a good team, hence why he’s at Sunderland. As for Ramirez I’d say thanks for the laugh but let’s be realistic.

Still expect another defensive minded CM to be looked at. And I'm hearing both Ramirez from Aberdeen and Stewart being looked at as it's expected that Roofe may move on.

Away from the manager chat for a second I'd like to see what people's opinions are, with the chat heating up around Raskin and McLean is it fair to say this further highlights that Wilson is behind our transfer activity as we knew the writing was on the wall for gio weeks ago but yet this chat is ongoing. If so regardless of results on the park it's a bum deal for any incoming manager if their say isn't final. Tad worrying moving forward. As it's my understanding anyone coming in would be backed but being backed isn't picking up players on free in my opinion.

Would rather old style management - manager picks a his own players using scouting network
and chooses where to send them and give his idea of why he wants and looking for.

We need change at the very top but difficult to see that happening unless we can find a serious Investor and the current Board is willing to sell their Stock!
