Some reports emerging tonight that rangers may well move for liverpool forgotten centre half ben davies as a replacement for the outgoing calvin bassey, who was linked heavily with celtic around 18 months ago ? Davies a good player imo ?.

I would definitely be happy with Davies however his wages could be a problem.

We would be cheaper just going for bazoer as Liverpool will want more than the 2 million he is looking for. and he will be in less wages aswell….

Agree Bazoer would be a much more cost effective and better replacement than Ben Davies, as not sure £2 mil would be enough to get him.

Davies need to take a cut in wages 60k a week but we need a left back also and I would rather have bazoer.

I hope we hope Wilson and Gio have a well thought out "list" as Gio mentioned yesterday, for a new LB.
Bariscs is a nightmare defender and is always going to cost us goals and games, he cannot be our No.1 LB.
Very good in last third, sometimes, but awful, awful defender against good teams.

My number one concern in the whole team was keeping Bariscs as No.1.

I hope we pay what is needed to secure a trustworthy LB, I would accept Bariscs as back up and for Scottish cup games.

Guys, odd one but can you maybe all remember Ben Davies is NOT the same Ben Davies who plays for Spurs. The one we're looking at has never played a PL match before, is Championship only, and doesn't have the reputation his far more illustrious namesake does.

He`s forgotten for a reason, he was signed when Liverpool had a centre half crisis and they still never played him and as someone has pointed out this is not the guy who plays for Spurs, this one doesn`t play left back . No more cheap deals, spend some money on quality.
