There's rumours of Barisic to Notts Forrest for £2m.

We can't be letting players go for nothing any longer. Would like to think Borna is worth more than 2m, but his performances haven't been great of late. Possible swap deal for Panzo? Would need a replacement on the left to compete with Yilmaz.

Barisic actually just had a very good season. 9 assists and 1 goal from an attacking full-back is a good return. His average match rating places him among the top 5 players in the SPFL.

However, given his age and contract situation it probably is time to cash in. If the interest Panzo is real maybe a straight swap is best for both parties. Panzo can play LB and CB. Panzo could also offer a far more defensive option to Ridvan giving Rangers more strategic options in that position. That seems to be what happened on the other side with the addition of Stirling.

If Beale can develop Panzo here maybe he can be sold for good money a few years from now.

I'd agree with most that if borna is to be sold and i don't want him sold, that we should be wanting more than £2million for him?He has 1 year left on his contract as was previously mentioned, he's a croatian international and the small matter of he's a very good attacking left back with an absolute wand of a left peg, with the best delivery in scottish football bar none ? We should be looking for £4million at least?.

Read somewhere Panzo might have a knee problem of sorts, so we'd need to b thorough if going down that road.

We're getting nowhere near £7-10 million for BB, or even £4 million. A 31 year old going into the final year of his contract.
A lot of our fans have been quoting silly money for some of our players recently. I know celtic get good money for players, but the difference is, is that they know when to sell playets at the right time - something we're not very good at.

Barisic is currently valued at 6.5 mill euros, sure he has only one year on his deal and not getting any younger, 2 mill and Panzo fair deal for all, they get a quality experienced international player.
we get some caley dosh, and one of the Powerful, agile CB's we are in dire need of to partner Goldson for the champions league group stage, of course i'm already assuming we will cost through the qualifiers with the squad he have available.
one thing to keep in mind though if BB goes and we get Panzo.
we will still need another LB - Johnly Yfeko is worth a shot, lad wasn't at Leicester under 18's for nothing, Thompson Ishaka should also get his chance too in the 1st team squad as back up to Matondo.

I can't believe anyone who has watched Rangers all season actually wants to keep Borna. Good numbers but slows the team down, can't defend and is not a big game player. He has done us a great turn but its time for him to go.

I think he's worth more to us this season than £2m personally, and would want to keep him. I suppose a swap deal for a younger left back might make sense, but begs the question who will be first choice, them or ridvan - who I think has a lot of potential.

Danger with Borna is that in 6 months he could sign a pre contract and we end up losing another player for nothing. We need to learn when to let go. Different if he agrees a new deal if one is being offered. John 27 any idea if a new deal is being offered to Borna.

Some of the valuations on here are wild. 7-10m for a 31 year old left back with 1 year left, but we want Trusty, a younger international defender, for 2-3m. ?

We bought Borna for 2m when he was already an international in his mid 20's. 2-3m at 31 with a year left is more than fair if we're looking to move him on.

I'd be surprised if we were looking to move him on, given the only other natural left back we have is Yilmaz. But if he's not looking to sign a new deal we should be taking whatever we can for him.

Getting nothing for Kent and Morelos is a mistake that shouldn't be repeated.

First of all it says Forest at targeting Barisic for £2m, now correct me if I’m wrong but haven’t we made opening bids that are less than what we eventually pay for the player, they could end up paying £3m for him, but talk of £6m etc is crazy he not worth that!
He’s 31 and in final year of his contract and if I’m honest he gives me the fear especially against that mob where he is often to blame for them scoring when players run inside him and he switches off.
His distribution is class but defensively he isn’t great.
He may be an International he’s a back up player for Croatia.
Forest have a player we want who is a left sided defender, we also have Adam Devine who can deputise at LB effectively.
Swap deal would be ideal but otherwise if we get anything more than £2m I would take it unless we give Borna a contract extension as losing him for nothing is bad business.
I already prefer Yilmaz in the handful of games he’s played but I’m happy for Barisic to stay if he sign extension to give us 2 different options in there but if Forest were to do swap deal or give us more than £2m that’s a good deal for us.

For me I would take a straight swap for Panzo. Think Barisic should be getting us around 3-3.5m but him for Panzo would be excellent business for us.
Could also argue that we have the cover at the club just now with both Devine and Sterling being able to play in both full back positions. Sure we have some in the academy that could step up if 1 gets injured or the lad Panzo can play LB.

It really all depends if he will sign an extension, if not, selling him is the right thing to do. A swap for Panzo is not a bad idea and if we can get a wee bit of money on top that's even better . The problem is if we hold Forest to ransom for more money they will just do the same to us if we want Panzo so we need to be sensible. Unlike some though I would like him to stay as his crossing will be hard to replace.

If Ridvan is Beales 1st choice we should sell Borna, help bring in 1st choice players we need for other positions i. e. a quality LCB. Delighted with the money for Colak as well. He wasn't going to feature.
