Cifuentes loan to Cruzerio has now been confirmed. Interestingly it's reported as a 12 month loan with an option to buy. I'm surprised at the length of the contract (rather than 6 months) as it seems to close the door on him coming back and being considered for part of the team next season. Then again, if the rumours of him not settling here are true, perhaps he had no desire to come back either.
Good luck to him and I hope the option gives us a small profit overall on him.

The harsh reality is that he has been a major failure, regardless of how good a player he can be elsewhere. £1.2m transfer fee, 800k signing on fee, and 11k pw in wages, and for what? The guy is away, he won't be back, and contrary to what some post, we are not "doubling" our money on him.

Should have been out on loan long time ago he's not featured and is miles away from a place in the side with Tav and sterling borna and ridvan ahead of him for fullback roles amd even then i'm not sure he would play with likes of yfeko and balogun able to fill in at full back. Devine has been kept around to help fill places in the European squad especially as Sterling, Yilmaz and Barisic all had weeks out with injuries early in the season . I hope this move to another SPL club comes off and he can get minutes to show what he`s got. He looked a good prospect when he played this time last year and a few games at the top level should help him . Good luck to the boy.

Appreciate the comments RE: the quality of the source. It's mixed. From memory it did call the Diomande signing and the Lammers exit both early (pre more established sources), which gave me some comfort that it was good enough to post here.
That said, I've also just seen it suggested Shankland was coming to Rangers on 24/ 01/ 2024 which looks like a black mark!

Rumour online that Rangers have reached an agreement with Fluminense to sign 2003 born Brazilian left back Jefté. Recognise this name as coming up here before but can't find by who on the search function.
The rumour says a deal is in place, waiting for APOEL to give the green light as he's on loan in Cyprus and Jefté has agreed on terms with Rangers until June 2027.

Galatasaray want Yilmaz, (I have mentioned this on a number of occasions) . If they can strike the right deal with Rangers then I suspect that they will agree to bring him in during the Winter Transfer Window. (It doesn't close until February 9th which is later than Scotland), and this could cause us a problem if negotiations drag on.
So far there has been no indication that Besiktas want to bring Yilmaz back to Istanbul and earlier suggestions that Fernabahce were interested appear to have gone quiet.

I think the lad had got something about him. He's quick, and had some great bursts through the middle. But his crossing is not a patch on bornas and I'm old fashioned enough to think we need suggestions with more height back there in the SPFL at least. Saw online that we've scored 1,000 goals since Tav joined the club. He's been involved in >240 of those (scored and assists) . That's a frankly ridiculous number for anyone in anY position. Yet he still gets stick, I think I large part because he's been the captain at one of the toughest points in our history. Realistically we've only been back really competing for the title at a resource level for 2/ 3 Seasons. Anyone that wants him out is nuts.

I've seen it said he's one of the highest earners. IF so I'd really be expecting him to take a slight wage cut if anything if he's to be given a 2 year deal. I'm all for it, but guess that might be why it's not been done and dusted already.

I would have preferred him to go down south, as I think a good loan spell would really increase his market value. Fair play to the guy if he goes to Brazil though, it must be a massive culture shock moving over here, and as long as we don't lose money on him I'll be happy (oh and put a good sell on % in there's as I think he has something about him) .

My guess is Jack and Dowell are moved on/ leave (given Clement's comments about how many of our players are injured) and we have a midfield group of Lundstram, Raskin, Cantwell, Diomande, Sterling, Cifu. Of whom Diomande and Cantwell can cycle in to the front three if needed.
