Read an article yesterday saying that Jansen had recently signed a new contract and wouldn’t be available. Maybe this is a way of saying that Rangers will have to pay compensation to his club if they want him?

Is Jansen the answer?
Conference League Results;
Dundee United 1, AZ 0.
AZ 1, FK Tulsa City 0.
Zrinjski 4, AZ 3. (AZ 3-0 up at H/ T)
Dutch League points 22/ 23;
Feyenoord 82 (beat 9 man Celtic 2-0)
PSV 75
AZ 67
Dutch League points 21/ 22;
Ajax 83
PSV 81
Feyenoord 71
AZ 61 (long way off)

Is it really that impressive?

Going by the Rangers review this morning there is not a big pull to keep Jansen at AZ which might ring a few alarm bells, usually a big hands off when he is the real deal, either any truth in this I don’t know.

Orange who can we get that would really impress you It’s more impressive than Beale before we took him.

It is wildly disengenuous to mention he was beaten 1-0 by Utd considering they won 9-0 in the second leg. Picking one off results, in general, is a poor way to judge a manager. Look at what Rodgers achieved with them after the Red Imps results.

As for the look at AZ's league positions - they are absolutely overachieving. However, there are more impressive candidates, I'll give you that much.

What was the agg score v dundee united? ??. Also AZ have less funds than the rest mentioned.

Couldn't agree more with you so72. Cherry pick results of any manager and there are bad ones for all of them. Need to look at the bigger picture what style are their teams playing and what results are they getting compared to their budget. I'm not saying Jansen is the answer but he appears to be doing a decent job overall.

Storm I am not sure who would be the best option just concerned that maybe yes maybe Jansen might not be performing as well as some think. Of course money available to buy better players plays a significant part in team performance and it appears he had a similar budget to Beale but what does that tell us. AZ doing alright this season but it’s early days and they haven’t played any of the top teams yet.

With the money involved 4th place is probs where they should be in the Dutch league. Going by how Ajax have started they will be top 3 this season.

You pulled up stats from Utd game but that game was over 2 legs what was the score over two legs?

We got beat by progress over 2 legs
Celtic got beat by Lincoln red imps in one games you can’t just pull out stats that don’t show the full picture.

Christophe Galtier? I wonder if this guy is an option - took Lille from 18th to second in the league the year after and a cup final, and then won the league the year after that. Then took Nice to Europe and cup final, and then went on to PSG for a league and cup double…currently free.

They beat Dundee Utd 7-0 in the 2nd leg lol why just pick out defeats. He got to a European semi final last year beating off West Ham.

Over the last 4 seasons, if you only take the results of AZ, Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord playing each other then AZ have the most points.

Sorry but pascal Jansen is not good enough or experienced enough

Jong psv and az Alkmaar

And he has not improved Alkmaar

People saying why pick out defeats if you have a vastly superior team as proved by the 7nil it then becomes a discussion of why couldn't he motivate them when beaten 1 nil.

So if you take rangers games against Celtic and Aberdeen away we would . aw pish! Fact is those games are there your judged in a league on your league position killie fans don't like McInnis and he's beaten rangers and Celtic ?.

Interesting PotatoHead looks like he atleast knows how to handle big games.

At the end of the day it's all a gamble, I think 200 ish games as a manager is decent enough, It's in a ok league, 60% Winrate and was assistant to Arne Slot aswell as being an Academy manager. It's not the worst choice that's for sure.

Gofor he has improved them tho. Also I wouldn’t say no to him. Knutsen would be my preferred choice.

Even though I don't want Jansen been reading up on him and he's sounding more and more like a club choice to me seems to fit in everyway except experience ?.

And even then he's been preparing for management for a long time due to early career injury.

Will lampard be able to get beat out of sub standard players when he couldn't get beat out of class players ?.
