To be fair I think the training camp thing is stupid I think you would get a lot more from players training in cold weather in Scotland to prepare for playing in cold weather in Scotland your also playing on hard dry pitches abroad to come back here to play on sodden heavy pitches ?

Also players might prefer to stay with their families here in Scotland also we forget to players it’s their work place would you like being with your workmates 24/ 7 for two weeks.

The hot weather training is about team bonding aswell.
Also change of scenery helps with this.

It’s good for players with niggling injury’s aswell.

I don’t think going to other side of the world makes sense for us but Spain is great for the squad.

I would love my work to take me to Spain for a week all expenses paid Gofor. Maybe throw in a couple of rounds of golf and a wee bevvie. I know the wife and kids would love me being away as well.

What would the players do if it snowed for the past week? How would PC get his ideas across then? Remember this would have been booked ages ago whe no one would be aware of the weather.

Not everyone likes being in close quarters for two solid weeks and away from their families also it’s not really benefited us in previous seasons we’ve came back in worse form.
