Been passed on a couple of things.
1. Brighton, Brentford and Aston Villa are all ready to take Archie Stevens away from Rangers. He doesn't want to stay (Really disappointed at that)

2. We are still in the market for a striker.

Some of these youngsters want to play football at a high level. If he stays at Rangers he probably goes on loan to a Scottish championship team but going to England he progresses against top players in his own age bracket. Nobody can blame the lad.

Yep Union Jack, said this couple weeks ago, stevens and Lovelace want back to England.

Saw the boy Archie stevens for ten mins against queen of the south and thought he looked an absolute gem. Albeit 10 mins but liked the look of him. Can anyone who’s seen him regularly say if he’s a top talent or not as I’ve seen nothing more of him.

Magic, Stevens is potentially a quality player. The crucial word here is potentially. Deboerloyal, what championship side did we loan McCausland to, or King, or Lowry or Lovelace, or any of our top academy prospects? If they want to go because of homesickness or whatever, let them go. Few come back to haunt us.

We don't play in the Lowland League.

We did when Lowey, King and McCausland were coming through. All 3 played regularly in it.

Ok Deboe just looks like a grammar thing no problem ?.

Much more chance of them getting a proper chance down there.

John227 I heard there was an attitude change from them towards playing in Scotland after they both got England youth call ups?

Burt, probably, go look what we pay them,

Hearing what you're saying John, learn the wage of some of the boys in the England set up and think i won't some of that, ruined many careers tho mate.

I agree my star, but certain kids look around colleagues at rangers and compare.

Lowry 6k Dickson was on 4K, ishaka over 3 k

Lovelace Stevens Nsio gentles recently only gets very very small cash cash albeit rangers pay all their accommodation and food and certain other outlays.

Rangers youth system has also ruined many careers Mystar. Many in the last 7 years have had a career at Ibrox.

Won't be a better time to play in Rangers youth academy when pushing for first team than now. Clement has shown already with us and has shown throughout his management career that he will look to use our academy players before looking in the market for transfers. These lads would be exposed to not only a title challenging team but also European football. All played in front of 50k fans.

Gofor how do u know they will get a better chance down their, there r kids in academy and under 21 struggling for games on 10 k a week

Young lads would do well to look at guys like Coombes who struggle to progress.

Some have moved on from Rangers and had a good career or will have gofor, yes John agree.

Their heads will have been turned by colleagues in the England squad. Wages will be higher and from the little that I have seen of Lovelace he certainly looks like a player that could have a good future at Rangers. Personally, I would rather we paid youngsters like this the money if that was all that was motivating them to leave, especially with our current management team.

If Stevens wants to go and Brighton want him then so be it, get as big a fee as possible with a good sell on percentage, Brighton develop and sell on players for mega bucks so we can make some serious money in a few years . Actually Brighton would be a good club to forge some good links with, they quite often have good players needing loan time ala Sima.

I know a guy who plays for Hornchurch in the isthmian league and he played against arsenal under 18s a few years back and said they had a boy on over 20K a week. That's crazy money.

Bellshilll…you are right in some aspects but then again, we are crying out for a striker and a winger. If Steven’s and Lovelace were that good they would be getting their chance now. It’s a case of you are good enough then you’re old enough. I think both have the talent to be top players but throwing them in in the spl then they would get volllyed up and down by hatchet men. It comes down to the way the spl is and how football is perceived in Scotland. The youth set ups are shocking, the standard is nowhere near good enough to prepare youngsters for the first team. until the sfa get over their backwards views then nothing will change. And that’s for every club not just Rangers. Very little young players come through in Scotland. That’s why half our national team are English.

John what's the craic with Ishaka? I had high hopes for the lad but rarely even see his name for B team.

27 Jan 2024 17:56:39
Will Lovelace go on a free surely we had him on a longer deal as he was looking really good whenever he played - like Archie if they want to leave nothing we can do but to get some cash and a sell on if poss would be best option ??????.

Rabbi ishaka returning from injury, back in training, we beat Man City to this lad

Super ally u can’t sign under 18 on long term deals.

The reason we lose these young players is the same reason we can get top youth Players from England and it’s the cross border rule where they can leave and only need to be development fees which are always less than £1m.
They need to be lucky or exceptional to get a chance in the 1st team. By lucky I mean players in their position being long term injured, or badly out of form while they are tearing it up at same time.
I think Clement will give them as much of an opportunity as any other manager if not more.
Ideally we loan them out to Scottish Championship sides and they flourish, then either get into squad or go to Scott Prem side on loan when they return.
