Cifuentes loan to Cruzerio has now been confirmed. Interestingly it's reported as a 12 month loan with an option to buy. I'm surprised at the length of the contract (rather than 6 months) as it seems to close the door on him coming back and being considered for part of the team next season. Then again, if the rumours of him not settling here are true, perhaps he had no desire to come back either.
Good luck to him and I hope the option gives us a small profit overall on him.

Hes a very good player, he's just not been able to settle and had rotten luck with injuries.

He wasn’t a bad player just never got a run in team for a number of reasons these things happen. Every player that doesn’t make it at rangers isn’t rank rotten. It could be a number of things but some fans don’t see that for obvious reasons.

Hopefully he can find a better balance. Feel bad for the guy as things just didn't seem to go his way. Injuries, poor form and personal problems must have Bern hard for thr guy. Think he showed glimpses of bring a very good player. Hopefully has a good season in South America and either comes back stronger or gets us a decent fee.

I don't think it's the weight of the jersey, Jfm, and more to do with the style of football. These guys like a bit more time on the ball which they're never going to get in Scottish football.

Good post roofe. Good players have came in the past and failed in Scotland because it’s unique kick and rush, hammer throwers etc…. Lot of other countries you have plenty of time on the ball here you don’t.

The harsh reality is that he has been a major failure, regardless of how good a player he can be elsewhere. £1.2m transfer fee, 800k signing on fee, and 11k pw in wages, and for what? The guy is away, he won't be back, and contrary to what some post, we are not "doubling" our money on him.

And loan makes sense is he not wanting to prepare for his countries national tournament getting him playing in that is only a good thing for us if he plays well.
