On the back of yesterdays chat, I genuinely don’t see any benefit for either party, other than maybe keeping him “relatively” match fit, of Lowry playing for the B team. Here’s a guy that had a wee spell in and around the first team and now he’s scoring a hat trick against none other than the civil service strollers! That’s no use for a 19yr old looking to break into the team.

Maybe Rangers are managing his game time after his bad injury early in the season?
Doesn't need rushed back into the first team match day squad.
Who does he replace? Tillman? Arfield?
No point in putting him in the squad just for the sake of it.
Though I would play him in Cup games and the odd league game.
As fans we would crack up if Devine, King, Yilmaz, McCann and Lowry were all in the first team to help their development and we were getting beat every game.
There is a time and a place.

I honestly think he’s a better player than Wright and would take his place no probs wishing first team

I would also give him a chance in front of Tillman too
Tillman hasn’t set the heather alight yet since being here and he’s not shown anything that Lowry couldn’t possibly do?

so I think he would quite easily slot into the first team squad the boy beds a chance to show he can do it

We’re so quick at throwing these yungsters under the bus without giving them a proper chance and that’s not just the fans

The club are at fault also in this

Devine and king were thrown in when we had no other option and now sounds like they have been moved back into b squad if I read comments on here accurate
bleed them in slowly and properly and aid there development and nourish there confidence

a lot of these boys would probably get a start in a Hibs and Aberdeen squad and probably give our main squad a good game
going on some results over the past 12 months when we have been kicked out of cups and drew or been beat in the league by the weaker ooopostion

Lowry has the potential he needs manager to show confidence in his ability and if any rumour is true regarding attitude then it’s up to a good man manger to address this and help him along surely

Why are all so quick to judge him?

We have put up with Morelos petulant attitude fkr best part of 5 years yet most on here jump to his defence if it was there own brother

Lowry has had a few games give the lad peace
And back one of our own for goodness sake.

Tillman is a very talented player, I love Lowry but I believe loaning him to a spl club will bring him on more only until the summer, I agree stingo Lowry is better than Wright now but he need Wright on else we need another Scottish player that has done his time and eligible for Europe.

Thestig beale rates tillman highly even if you don’t do there is no chance he plays Lowry in front of him.



I honestly don’t know what some people watch during games either they are drunk on drugs or need glasses.

I agree Stig. For me I think the time to bleed these youngsters is in cup games and also when we’re 2 or 3 up and controlling games, bring one or two on then. It would help when there was less pressure in a game rather than throwing them in when piles of injuries etc and pinning our hopes on them.

I don't think the lowland league is as bad a proving ground as some think. I've watched a lot of junior football over the years and while it's not the most technical it is very physical which is probably a better transition to senior football than youth leagues.

If we sign 2 mf players as Beale indicates that puts Lowry further down line to get a game, so maybe time for a loan move. this will show if attitude, willingness to show he should be getting game in front of these players on return. As at present does not appear he has shown enough to convince Beale he should be in team.

Lowry isn’t anywhere near tilleman level and a hatrick against some labourers doesn’t change that lol tilleman been our best player for months.

I’m astounded that anyone would drop Tillman to play Lowry however I totally agree that he should be in squad and getting minutes ahead of Wright and Matondo at least.

Tillman is a good player but he's Bern completely underwhelming in both old firm games and most European games were you would want him to shine. He simply hadn't done anything in any of the big games he's played in.

Tommy it is if the player is way to good for the opposition. Lowey and King are far to good for that level now and shouldn't be used at that level.

I do kinda agree with you sweep, think both are well placed for a loan to other SPL clubs or league 1 in England. That would help them more than B team for sure.

I do still think that there is more development in the lowland league than most think. They can get used to the physical nature of playing against grown men as well as the decision making side of being a good footballer. Feel both have shown thier age at times playing for the first team.

Ideally they would be allowed to make mistakes in the first team but at a club like rangers were every game is a must win it's very difficult.

Cracking post stingo, Lowry is far better than Wright and the Matondo I've seen now, but a 6 months loan deal in the spl would help him a good bit I feel, he will start every game at all the other clubs apart from them, that is what he needs now.

I don’t think he is a bad player but he doesn’t start in front of tillman it’s not us he needs to shine in front of it’s the manager as we don’t pick the team and Beale obviously rates tillman better than Lowry that is a FACT.

Completely different position from Wright and Matondo. Lowry doesn't have the pace of either of these players.

Tommgun watched many junior games some good players, if they didn't drink and do drugs as much many would be playing top flight football, mate managed camelon jrs a wee while ago they have a boy Clark 24/ 25 maybe younger playing cam the talent that lad had had unreal, loved his swally and drugs, mate said he thought he was an alcoholic.

Lowry can play any forward position and a far better football brain than both Matondo and Wright, I believe he will be great there but not now, Lowry needs many first team games now and 6 months loan will do him the world of good, he 20 in june, I want him playing most game next season rate him highly but if he doesn't go out and get first team games I can't see him doing that well not as many games anyway.
