With all the debate about Ryan Kent for and against I thought I'd check the spl stats for assists. They consist of assists games played and coefficient from those two.
J. Tavernier 64 a 234 gp 0.27 coef.
J forest 49 289 0.17
R christie 42 203 0.21
C mecgregor 41 271 0.15
N mcginn 40 321 0.12
J Hayes 37 351 0.11
R Kent 32 140 0.23
T rogic 31 178 0.17
G Stewart 28 153 0.18

Only two others on the list with coefficient of 0.21 K Tierney and S Allen.
Looking at the coefficients Kent is second behind tav followed by barasic and Christie.
Make of that what you will.

He’s probably got a goal or assist every 2.5 games which isn’t good enough.

Ryan kent has scored 5 league goals in over 2 seasons. Look at any stats you like. His goal return is worse than most in the side. A player in his position should be scoring double figures a season.

Beale, with 5 league goals in two seasons I'm not sure where he's going to go, my fear is no club want him and we're going to be stupid enough to give him a new deal.

Paul, you've put Ryan Kent's stats as plainly as can be but some people still think this guy is going to drag our team to glory. He's not and I don't understand how people can defend him yet have a go at other players performances.

I’m pretty confident had Lawrence stayed fit he would have posted Jota numbers from Kent’s position. That’s what’s required from our left and right forwards or 10s however you want to put it. At rangers you should be looking at double figures for both stats from those slots in the team, especially when your playing the full 90 most games.

There's a guy playing for Motherwell that's about to crack the 20 goal mark. Shows the sort of opposition that Kent has scored 5 goals in 2 years is. No amount of stats will change how poor he's been.

What's your co-efficient mean, Jfm?
Because in reality for their rangers careers:-
Kent has an assist every 3.8 games
Barisic has an assist every 4.2 games
Tav has an assist every 4.2 games
Morelos has an assist every 4.5 games
Goals per game:-
Morelos every 2.2 games
Tav every 4 games
Kent every 6.5 games
Barisic every 22 games
Goal contributions ( goals and assists ) :-
Morelos every 1.5 games
Tav every 1.75 games
Kent every 2.4 games
Barisic every 3.5 games
So that means Barisic should stop taking free kicks as he hardly every scores!

Mr potato head it's basic maths, divide the number of assists by the number of games played and that gives the coefficient. Spl games only in my post. Figures taken straight from the spl site.

I know it’s basic Maths, Jim.
But what does the co-efficient stipulate?
I’m not sure what the 0.21 relates to?
Whereas the way I’ve done it tells you the average number of games between each assist.
Maybe I’m having a brain fart moment?.

Basically it tells you the higher the co efficient the more assists per game. As I said its only spl games, no cup games or anything else included.
