No objections at all e. g "Sponsor" Ibrox Stadium.

I think the threads below have established that for 100mil no one really has an issue with renaming our stadium.

100m far fetched though eh, what’s the reality figure? My tune would change if it was pathetic amount.

I assume this is ideas looking at paying for the upgraded capacity etc, any amount would have to pay for that in its entirety for me minimum.

so long as ibrox remains in the title, and as I've said, if rangers do it, then celtic will follow soon after.

10mil per year for 10 years coully, john said. I think ibrox would stay in the title TT.

The numbers will be between 30-50m for 10 year period. It’s been ongoing discussion now since January. On merit between 3-5m per season. One interested party wanted a revenue share on food and beverage sold within the stadium as well as a percentage of shop sales. You can work out who that person is/ was and who they had fronting that deal from the US.

If it brings substantial revenue why not?
Major clubs in Europe such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and Barcelona have all had their stadiums re named.
Like the idea of including the original name as Barcelona have done : Spotify Camp Nou.
In my opinion it will always be Ibrox but we need to look to the future.

I voted wrong ? I meant to put no but went yes.

Really don’t care what they call even if it doesn’t have ibrox in title as the fans know what it is.

How about a sponsorship deal with Apple and stadium could be called
i-brox . Everybody would be happy then.

Sorry but is 3/ 5m a year enough given the profile of Rangers. I'd hope for double that especially as exposure in Europe would be guaranteed.

the worry would be rangers accepting a figure, then celtic finding an irish company, like ryanair to pay much more, that would be sore.

if the stadium changed title, without ibrox in it, the name would disappear, the area is obviously ibrox, but the stadium would become known by the sponsors name and future generations wouldn't use ibrox as our home,

Name change/ sponsor of stadium bigger issue. Inevitably and rather sadly Ibrox would disappear to be replaced by sponsor. However Ibrox would become far more accessible to large sporting events like Jim Watt fights etc. Personally, for 100m quid they could rename bog place because name only refers immediate area. But if major sponsor did arrive and stadium renamed TGV, Or JVC Stadium would bite hand off. Plus stadium would become more debilitating arena to play in. But to fans will always remain Ibrox.
