Personally I'm very happy with the players brought in, the doubts that are suggested are all fitness related, "last chance saloon " comes to mind.
I've said all close season " I would rather be in our situation than there's "

Why would you prefer to be in Rangers' position?

You have just finished the season trophy less, your manager is inexperienced and untested, you need to play qualifier to get in Champions League, your team needed a major rebuild, you have very little transfer money to spend and a large debt.

Whereas Celtic finished the season with a treble, Brendan Rodgers is experienced at highest level in England and Scotland, our squad is settled, full of talent and most at a good age for resell, we have around 40 - 55 million available for transfers, we have very little debt and the ex man city employee who ran their academy and scouting team.

Which part do you prefer?

A lot of fans work on stats I don't do that
But if you are a stats man and by the start of the season you have a new team you don't have stats as the team built by Beale and the rangers fans as you agree agree with Beale on here as majority are happy with the new players.
You don't have any stats so why would you not want be in a position of strength rather than weakness as we really don't know how your knew team are going to do do.
Main things are they are a new team
They have never played in front of 40 odd thousand fans who will not give you piece of time they want results right now and they will let you know v
Finally they will need to win trophies.

I'm not saying Celtic can't lose or Beale is a crap manager. I'm also not saying anything about your new signings as you can't judge anything from pre season matches.

All I am saying is currently Celtic are in a stronger position than Rangers and it is you that are chasing us.

So I was curious why the op would prefer to be in Rangers' position apart from the obvious that they are a Rangers fan and like don't like Celtic.

On paper we look to have strengthened well but it's just paper, I can only properly judge when they have played numerous games and living up to expectation, all signings come with an element of risk, I am really excited about the new signings and feel we have a good blend of old players and new but anything could happen we could be magnificent this year but we could also fall flat, I'm actually under no illusion that celtic will again be strong and strengthen, can't see Rodgers coming back to accept players bought fir him he will surely have some assurances about transfer kitty and players he wants, I don't think he would risk it otherwise, I do agree that you will have the more settled team and less pressure with CL money guaranteed, we lost the league so yes its up to us to improve, I do genuinely believe we have the makings of a good team but only time will tell.

Celtic fans are obsessed by how much money they have but in scotland we don't pay the wage to bring in say a 10m player so unless celtic are prepared to break the record fee and smash there wage it'll be much of the same in terms of players coming in unless they go big and loan a player and pay a big part of the wage anyway who cares I'm happy with our signings so far and if we get daily cifuentes and a ch we have a great chance this season.

My own view on Rodgers seeing as you're discussing it is that he dumped Celtic, went down to Leicester and got them relegated, yes I know he wasn't there when they went down but the damage was irreparable by the time he got sacked.
Now he's back and being hailed as the messiah by many who sang songs of hate about him when he left.
He had better pray hard that he wins the first old firm or the fans will turn on him very quickly.
I vividly remember the scenes at parkhead when police officers got injured as the fans tried to get at Lennon.
Not the most patient support.

Just firstly we play in front of sellout stadiums, so that’s normally 50 odd thousand not 40 odd. That’s just basic maths.

And the point is genuine about Rodger’s not facing any real threat from a Rangers side. He basically one easy titles no real threat. Then got bored of Celtic then left. Went down to the EPL we’re things are completely different from up here in terms of money. Plus down there he hasn’t got 70% of possession. So what he’s done down there and the quality of manager he’s faced is irrelevant in my book because he’s heading into the unknown as he has never faced a threat before now he will. This is a whole new set of circumstances, than last time. So in my opinion it’s about the future and how well future circumstances are dealt with- I don’t think how well he got on against EPL quality managers matter.

that attitude spoils it for many. There are many debates going on on many rangers and Celtic websites.
Some websites let both fans debate it out then at end of the season one winner.
But if we can't debate with other fans then site will loose as well.
All fans should be allowed to go on any page and get chats going.
