Players we bring in on loan come and go as do players we send out on loan. they come back hopefully better off from their experience. Its a Business. Case in point is malik Tillman. looks like a shrewd piece of Business done behind the scenes with BM and PSV. January window should be Interesting to say the least . Such a difference a year makes.

Psv buying Tillman for 12m is some bit of business, they will treble that cash if not more than treble it deecee.

When was the last time we sent anyone out on loan and they came back a better player, ready for first team?

just for the record --I stated "Better off from their experience". no way do I mention coming back to first team football--there actually quite few in that category that are way better off in many aspects of their pro career.

And McGregor wouldn't have got a chance if not for Paul leguen

B Ferguson wouldn't have got proper chance if not for advocaat

Walter dropped him (Ferguson) as soon as he could

Seems to be foreign managers better at giving youth a chance.

Look at our league even the likes of livi stmirren county are fielding more foreign players or English Irish

It's not like getting these guys from abroad that they pay more are winning anything teams like Hibs that used to be a team known for developing players had one Scottish guy in lineup not long ago and that was an aging marshall in goals ?.

LeGuen brought in Letizi rather than play McGregor and only turned to him because Letizi was awful. Walter didn`t give Ferguson much of a chance as a youngster and wee Dick did, but I don`t remember Walter dropping Barry.

I thought Tillman was going for 20 mil.

Yip I came to post this, as I’ve stated numerous times before, le guen tried to sell McGregor to Dunfermline and the only reason he didn’t go was they couldn’t afford the fee of £300k.

Letizi was then rotten for so long before eventually being dropped, was it maybe through injury though?
McGregor came in and was so good he couldn’t be dropped.

Le guen done everything he could do get rid of McGregor let’s be honest.

Wsl Walter never dropped barry.

Le Guen only played Mcgregor because Letizi was having a mare and then got injured, Mcgreogar did great then when Letizi was fit he was back in for a couple of games and had a disaster again, LeGuen couldn’t get away with starting him so McGreoger was begrudgingly brought back in, this was just the minor story in LeGuens reign at IBROX, only thing he got right was playing Adam and even that split the fans.

Pretty sure McGregor was in because Letizi got injured. McGregor was then dropped when Letizi was back fit but eventually forced his way back in again.

McGregor &Adam were a long long time ago.
We never seem to come out well with this (outgoing) loan system.

Reading psv will sign Tillman for 12m in January, outstanding business, some on here wouldn't pay 5m for him, baffling.

I was one of them Beale, and as much as it’s easy to say ‘oh I hold my hands up n was wrong’, I’m not going to mate cause I still think he wasn’t a brilliant player and we could have used the money better.
He seemed to me to look lethargic at times and when he did score I didn’t feel he done a lot in the game.

Luis palma, who we could have got, for example looks like he will be a better player and will fetch a higher fee than £12m. He cost £3m.
Which if you’d remember it was suggested we were only going to get tillman on another years loan IF he decided to stay which means we’d be asked now to fork out £12m which we couldn’t afford.

We wasted the ‘tilamn money’ on lammers n dessers so of course I’d rather Tillman, I just felt with limited budget and needing a lot of players we could use it better.
I also pointed out the players in his position that we have and that money could’ve been used in other positions.

Good luck to the lad.

Stevie Tillman will be in the epl very soon, outstanding player, say it again I'm happy he made his mark at us first, that boy will sell for millions.

Different players mate.
Obv Tillman is central and palma left wing.

We needed a left winger more than a 10.

I think palma will leave Celtic in 2 years for a lot of money.

I think that will prove to be a big mistake by Beale.

Again mate, time will tell.

I worried he’d be another Kent Beale.
That’s where my worries came from re the transfer.

If we had money to spend it was a no brainier, I just felt we should prioritise other positions with our limited budget.

He’s obviously very talented if u look at his numbers.
