Rumours has it McCrorie is looking for a move Rumours he held last ditch Talks with the manager he leaves we need to get into the market for a new keeper to compete with Butland I fear it will Be McLaughlin as No.2 if McCrorie leaves.

If we end up with McLaughlin as backup and anything happens to Butland then it is going to be another disastrous season. I wouldn't have McLaughlin within a million miles of Ibrox. He doesn't come close to the quality we need and should expect to see for a goalkeeper at rangers.

Why would Lundstrum be moved on? Beale wants two players for every position and Rangers play with 2 holding midfielders: Cifuentes, Jack, Kamara, and Rasking are 4 players we have to perform that holding role. The managers comments in recent weeks would suggest Kamara is likely to be moved on this summer meaning Rangers still need another holding midfielder, even if Cifuentes signs. So I doubt Lundstrum will be going anywhere.

The Morelos and Kent contract situation isn’t comparable to that of John Lundstrum. Kent and Morelos were two of Rangers most valuable player assets. Lundstrum is not one of Rangers move valuable player assets on or off the pitch. John Lundstrum turns 30 in February, he’s form has been inconsistent during his time at Rangers, and any value he does have would be minimal.
If Rangers do sign Cifuentes then John Lundstrum won’t even be a starter anymore. Cifuentes and Raskin will be ahead of him. Whoever is signed to replace Kamara may be a player of quality battling it out for a place in that midfield. John Lundstrum will be no more than a squad player along with Ryan Jack. I fully expect Lundstrum and Jack to be released next summer. I can’t see new deals being given to either of them.

Personally I think Beale will want to keep lundstrum, he can drop into defence in an out of games depending on shapes / timing of games, Beale seems to really like the fact he can have that option, I'll be surprised if lundstrum goes, gives us an extra floating body, I don't think raskin or cifuentes has that same side if their game but can't state that as fact just my thoughts.

Zungu appeared to be a great signing and look how that went, the four signings that Michael Beale has made since the end of the season are all gamble's Butland has hardly played for years Dowell had a knee injury in February ending his season his injury record over the last few years is similar to Ryan Jack's, Sterling finished last season with Stoke on the bench hopefully Michael Beale see's something in him that Alex Neill didn't and Lammers is a striker who's goal scoring has completely dried up apparently he's struggling with his confidence knowing how unforgiving Ibrox can be a poor performance early on at Ibrox could destroy him although.

KJB, that's way too pessimistic for me buddy, I think for the outlay in general we get a lot of bang for our buck.
Verdant, you dismissed my point about Lundstrum and also backed it up. Think you're right that he'll no longer be a first choice and that may mean he'll want to play first team football somewhere else. I also think there me another addition to that midfield role and also maybe a younger lad coming through.
It's a good point about the contract situation with Lundstrum and a very good point from GJD83 that Lunny drops into the defence pretty well when required.
