I don't think there is any doubt that McCoists jacket is on a shoogly peg, probably see out the season.
I have heard that there is admiring glances towards Derek McInnes, 2year deal, first year in Championship and the second to prove himself in the top league.

bluedownsouth

1.) Why would Derek McKinnes come to us he has just got Aberdeen to a cup final and will probably win it and is giving Aberdeen one of their most successful seasons in the league for a long time so no chance of that happening

2.) Whether its mcinnes, davies, butcher or mccall they would all do a far better job than mccoist. Yesterday like every other week the football is laughable!

3.) You really think they can justify letting mccoist go? Only lost once all season so he will be here next year defo.

4.) Why is there all this talk of letting Ally go?. I agree with Johncass above, one league in the bag, one defeat this year, a cup final, and still in the Scottish cup! Yes the football may not be bonnie to watch, but give the guy a break!

5.) If ally mccoist was to be replaced as rangers manager I totally agree that there is 4 outstanding candidates to become the next rangers manager and I'll put them in order of my preference-1. billy davies, 2. terry butcher, 3. derek mcinnes & 4. stuart mccall, what do you think about these top 4 & what order would other gers fans prefer?

6.) McCall Davis Butcher wouldn't let McInnes near the job

7.) Butcher McCall davies mcinnes

8.) I'd like butcher! Ally isn't a great manager by any stretch of the imagination but he has been the gule that has held rangers together over the last few years. The footballs total crap but until such times has he's NOT winning evey week he should stay in charge!

9.) 02 Feb 2014 19:12:21
we need a manager that will support youth if we don't have money to buy players.

10.) I genuinely hope Ally is successful in the job, but I fear that he may not be there for the long haul. Personally, I think Steven Pressley would do well. He speaks very well about the game and seems tactically aware. He is also happy to give youth a chance and, having come through the Gers' youth teams, knows the pressures on young players and the benefits/pitfalls of playing them out of position. I listen to him on the radio and I like the cut of his jib.

11.) Johncass your brother Jack and Ally as talented as each other. george

12.) Every x rangers man who strings a couple of results together is being linked to mccoist job, has butcher & mccoll been bombed out now?

13.) What you mumbling George?

14.) 03 Feb 2014 18:03:25
Out walkin dog & bumped into 2 neighbours who are season ticket holders and they like myself won't be returning to ibrox until mccoist is gone, which unfortunately maybe a while! mvcoists comments prematch every game make u wonder what game he was watching!

15.) 06 Feb 2014 11:34:41
Why Mc Coist was not long ago we were all shouting he should get knighted now you's want him out the door rangers football club is falling to the ground and fast the support should be to the manager and the boys and they are s*** but we can ask for more from the lads get rid ae a few young players bring in players that will help the teem and don't just use us to get to a better league shame on the bears fan it want ally out the job

16.) What ally got to do, one defeat with a B team out, without him we wouldn't have a club

{Ed039's Note - Do you honestly believe that)

17.) All the names being talk of what about ian murray at dumbarton he has done miracles with nothing he is young and hungry

18.) Yes I do ed- if ally didn't back green, they would have walked with the assets-at least we still have them

{Ed039's Note - I can't believe what I am reading)

Nothing will ever change at Ibrox until there is a complete change of ownership, everybody must go from Chairman to CEO to Manager, I can't believe the naivety of some posters, the whole set up is rotten to the core, these people are draining the club of every spare penny that they can get, wallace is in it up to his neck, TRUST NO ONE, McCoist may have his dream job but he is a patsy who will be discarded as soon as he is no longer required, he sure isn't employed for his managerial skills.
The sooner Dave King gets control and starves the shareholders out of Ibrox the better.
One final rant, I am sick fed up hearing how bad SDM was, that man brought us success that we can only dream about these days, players the like we will never see again, I never ever heard one person slag him off when we were at the top of the Scottish game.

#OP, you do know the only money Murray put in to Rangers was borrowed? And have you conveniently forgotten that he sold our club for the same sum of money that it costs to buy an item in Poundland and not only that sold it to Craig Whyte despite the warnings of many.

Yes I admired the man back in the day but would happily have given up 9IAR if I knew the absolute mess that the man left Rangers in and if the Big Tax case appeal does go against Rangers I hope the man is stripped of his knighthood.

2.) Yes he might've brought us good players but it was with money we never had, nobody slaughtered him because we trusted him to be running rangers properly which he clearly wasn't.

3.) Well said naz the man is a worm, his day will come, also I believe he is still involved somewhere, like maybe the owner of Ibrox or Auchinhowie or both. it will all come out in the end.

4.) OP I agree with some of your post but 100% disagree with your final rant. Let's put it down to absence makes the heart grow fonder but some of us are under no illusions that the man whose gambling and poor governance including borrowing and EBTs who allowed all subsequent events and who really put us in this deep shyte is David Murray. David Edgar of the RST told us about this man's harmful leadership of our Club several years before he was "duped" by Shyte even though his fellow directors told him not to sell to Shyte.

@ ED you have plenty of polls on the go just now all of which make interesting reading but perhaps a future poll might be who has the biggest responsibility for this current mess? And one of the options should be us fans and our blind belief in shysters who talk the talk?

{Ed039's Note - Thats actually not a bad idea for a poll Nbear, I will get onto that in a wee while)

5.) Honestly murray maybe made some bad calls when the club was sold it was makink moneyeand trading sucessfully the bank of scotland forced the sale by saying it woul stop supporting the club financially if it was not sold to whyte murrays problem was not rangers but a falling property values b downturn in steel tcrash in his property portfolio which was backing up loans etc made b o s jittery and they did not want the backlash if tax case went against the club if the club had been allowd to trade on and even if the tax had went against club agreement would have been reached on payment schedule because the club before whyte were totally paid up for v a t and n I c contributions onlyn when whyte took over did they default in payments everyone forgets the sucess under murray and the fact he'd paid the biggest % of the debt back through various ways right now if u asked who u would rather be in control david murray or the bandits I know who I would want if he had been left to trade away he would have managed to keep club trading

6.) Op totally agree with the part about dave king

With regards to supporting the team on Sunday or any other day, we have a real dillema, everybody turns up =full ouse = money for spivs to syphon off, don't turn up club doesn't get money but low crowds to back the team, here is a possible solution, organise a protest day sooner rather than later, don't enter the stadium but stand outside the main entrance making as much noise as possible, this way the rangers men and football supporters in the team know what is happening i. e supporters outside that back the team but not the board

there's a couple of things that pop up most days on this site, most people want Dave King to take over ( me included ) a lot of people want Ally out ( me included ) the only thing is you can't have King without McCoist, if you go all the way back to Greens first day, McCoist and King have been in touch and no doubt talk several times a week if not daily, unless King is a complete b*****d then Ally will get a chance at the top league for his loyalty.
