Eustace will be offered a player coach role due to suffering injury setback. Unlikely to be fit for first team for several weeks after setback. Warburton impressed with influence on dressing room and wants him as coach if unable to play.

madjid bogherra for inbrox return?

In several mid east news outlets stating his desire to return after next season. No contact this summer but wants to return irrespective of division we are in.

His performances at world cup and Africa nations have been excellent since leaving, I would have him back as he has a few seasons left in him.

luigi

1.) 07 Jul 2015 16:40:21
Scottish daily record stated last week that rangers are not interested in bougherra returning

2.) 07 Jul 2015 17:54:48
Got bad feeling we "skint" and can't afford his wages.

3.) 07 Jul 2015 18:29:00
Why are folk clicking unbelievable?

It's on several international news websites from middle east.

I'm not saying he's going to sign, but he has declared he wants to and denies there has been any contact.

4.) 07 Jul 2015 20:24:25
I'm sure he said last week that he wants to come back but Rangers didant want him.

5.) 07 Jul 2015 21:47:13
Luigi they are clicking unbelieveable as you said his performances were excellent. I didn't miss a single game of the world cup and Bougherra was dreadful. And his performance at the African cup was mediocre at best.

6.) 08 Jul 2015 00:09:48
I also have a slight feeling that although these absolute epic "middle east papers" for some reason. And I'm with you luigi don't know what everyone's issue is, but fans somehow don't necessarily think that this colosal journalism will mean that we will see bougy holding a rangers scarf above his head tomorrow! Mental I know! But could possibly explain some of the disagrees

7.) 08 Jul 2015 08:29:07
Hope not
Give youth a chance
Would be a step backwards for me

Heard McGinn ex st mirren in talks.

Decent player but he did get speared in the leg last season.

Starting to get concerned at slow pace of team building. We need a creative playmaker, at least two midfielder players with pace and a striker capable of 20 goals minimum. A new keeper and right back would be a good idea as well.

Where's all the investment? At this rate hibs will run away with it.

1.) 26 Jun 2015 15:07:39
It takes time to make a good squad. Chill out.

2.) 26 Jun 2015 15:19:18
Id rather we took our time and did it right!

3.) 26 Jun 2015 14:40:19
Have some patience man! MW will bring the right players in and enough of them, he's only been in the job 11 days, he will have a lot of other work to do apart from signing players. Sometimes deals take a little while to go and a lot of players will be on holiday at the min, its definitely too early to be getting concerned.

4.) 26 Jun 2015 15:28:58
It is about signing the right player not rushing into it and getting anyone to build up the numbers. Look at McCoist he bought people on back of a name and also those who were "Proven SPL" which did not work. Give MW time to find players we are building from the back so I expect to see movement soon

5.) 26 Jun 2015 15:34:35
Yep let's just sign 5 players in the space of a week. Oh and let's spend 20mil in the championship aswell. Some peoples clocks must tick faster than others, there is plenty of time.

6.) 26 Jun 2015 15:47:27
I feel your pain however it's not easy getting the right players especially when that involves the 2nd tier of Scottish football. have to have patience.

Also I wouldn't worry about that mate, if they couldn't prevail over the 11-man disaster squadron we fielded last year then I seriously doubt they ever will!

22 Jun 2015 15:25:09
Danny Wilson on verge of signing for unnamed ENGLISH championship side.

Weir unable to convince player to sign and deal was never close.

1.) 22 Jun 2015 16:35:47
Good news for us! He couldn't wait to leave after a few games in the first team so he is nothing to us!

2.) 22 Jun 2015 17:08:21
Wilson is having a medical with Rangers the now

Had a lot of hope for next season but sadly the transfer business is not inspiring me. Got off to a promising start but as it has gone on our moves look increasingly desperate to me. In particular this tendency of MW to bring very average players to ibrox simply because he has worked with them before. I said it last season that he needed to show that he could evolve beyond the level he has worked at and I simply don't see it.

The one signing we had to make, still hasn't happened. We need a striker who can get us goals in spl. Who have we been linked with a series of lower league misfits whilst Celtic sign a striker of real quality.

I hope I'm wrong. Also if you disagree, fine, but be mature and don't get upset. Some of the reactions to critical opinions on this site are utterly pathetic. This is my view, you are welcome to your own. Only time will tell who is right, I won't be upset if I'm wrong.

luigi

1.) 29 Jun 2016 14:23:51
Warburton has said a few times that a striker is still to come. We want 3 more signings, one of which seems to be Hodson. one of the others a striker (Which is what you seem to want) the other I have no idea who is or where they will play. time will tell Luigi. Can I remind you that the transfer window hasn't even opened yet in England. still plenty of time to go.

2.) 29 Jun 2016 14:30:51
I've got a opinion and it is that you are by far the biggest anti rangers fan on here! MW could sign messi tomorrow and you was probably moan about his age! Take a break man and change your channel from Celtic TV! You go on about a striker of real quality it's all paper talk 17 goals in 56 games is far from quality!

3.) 29 Jun 2016 14:50:07
It's Warburtons way to look for gems and last season we seen some great gems. I have complete faith that the players that have come in will be great for us . I understand people want big signings but we can't go down that road again we need to find value for money.

4.) 29 Jun 2016 18:05:26
Can we not just wait and see how our new players perform first before slating them. it's getting annoying now, last January was the same. harry who? Well his name is Harry forrester and he's going to light up the spl. in warns i trust.

Sorry to see shields leaving the club and wish him all the best for the future.

Got a lot of unfair criticism but always gave 100%.

Deserves a bit of credit for loyalty as he would be in NI squad had he left earlier and got more game time.

Three main points from yesterday

1. Yesterday wasn't a blip that's how we have played for a good stretch of the season. Only difference is we didn't get away with it. Hibs players deserve win.

2. The aftermath is a disgrace. No excuse for it, anyone who does excuse it is a fool. Likes of Stubbs, petrie, nevin and strachan excusing it is shameful. What if more than a handful of our fans had taken the bait, realistically could of been a bloodbath. Hibs fans are a disgrace and both presentation and parade should have been cancelled. Unless sfa take strong action ie ban them from cup or revoke Euro place then it will happen again. Motherwell getting a slap on wrist last season is part of the problem, it basically said that it was ok.

3. In terms of next season it only proves what many have said all season- major investment is needed, higher calibre players are needed and management need to learn from mistakes. One way of playing with no plan b makes life rather easy for the opposition.

luigi

1.) 22 May 2016 16:05:28
We need to spend a few quid and get an entire defence as well as a goal scoring striker. We are miles off challenging for the league and will struggle unless a lot of changes are made.

2.) 22 May 2016 16:20:23
Luigi if our fans never entered the pitch lots of people in the south stand could have been injured, imho.

3.) 22 May 2016 16:52:32
Agree, partucularly point 1. The better team definitely won yesterday. We have done nothing since the Celtic game and our performance was way below the standard expected. Imo only Miller played played well and Fod and Wilson get pass marks. Since the Celtic game we have been guilty of complacency and a tad arrogant. On the pitch yesterday we were second best a committed Hibs team that wanted it more than us. Hope we can learn from yesterday's performance and use it as a positive to drive improvement for next season. Onwards and upwards now.

4.) 22 May 2016 16:52:39
Couldn't agree more - Stubbs and the rest of the clowns who made excuses for that disgrace are the root cause of what is wrong with Scottish football. This was a situtuaion that has now been viewed globally, what does that say about Scotland and Scottish football. At the very minimum Hibs should be banned from next years competition and the European place should be revoked.

5.) 22 May 2016 17:39:19
Win over Celtic papered over the cracks. Yes we have achieved number one target, promotion but we limped over the line not charged over it.

Hypothetical question- would we have been champs if hearts team of last season had been there this season? I'm not so sure we would have.

It's not simply a question of spending money, wether we have it or not. Manager must show he can learn from mistakes made over and over again- so far he hasn't shown he can.

I honestly don't expect us to mount a serious challenge next season, with good recruitment and better tactics then perhaps we can finish 3 or 4.

17 Apr 2016 17:30:09
Today disproved that there is only one Andy Haliday- he was so good it looked like there were two of him out there.

To a man it was an excellent performance. Best since winning league at parkhead.

I know a lot of gers fans where confident about winning but the manner in which we dominated them Was stunning.

Ps to those who gave me pelters-I predicted the starting line up correctly. Was a bit out on the Clark winner theory though but quite happy about that. Enjoy😁.

luigi

1.) 17 Apr 2016 17:56:31
We are tactically much more aware, our passing was better, we were quicker and we had more fight.

Halliday v Brown? Only one winner.

Well done MW and DW.

2.) 17 Apr 2016 19:29:01
Luigi,

Great to c a good positive post, your bang on with your post there.

Mon the bears! It's great to be a person! Delia to go yet? Along with our man Roberts! Pmsl! Van vossen2.

15 Apr 2016 14:26:12
My team to play Celtic.

Foderingham

Wilson Ball Kiernan

Tav haliday wallace

Holt. Shields

McKay

Miller

3-5-2 as a wee tactical surprise for them, as they will be expecting our usual 4-3-3. Use wing backs for width and encourage Holt and shields to make runs into channels. Extra central defender to make up for our defensive weakness. Miller to play up front on his own for 60 mins with McKay the linkman just behind him. Hopefully waghorn could play last 30 mins and Clark can come on late on for McKay and grab the winner.

luigi

1.) 15 Apr 2016 15:41:47
Last time we tried a 3-5-2 it went horrible, it's best to stick to what we know.

2.) 15 Apr 2016 16:49:08
Luigi

Shiels is rank rotten and if he plays it will be like having a man down.

3.) 15 Apr 2016 20:22:34
Completely disagree. Shiels was short listed for player of the year not si long ago. One thing he us not is rank rotten. Certainly not in the way Nicky Clark is.

4.) 15 Apr 2016 21:01:00
Utter nonsense luigi the last time he played that formation it backfired so why try it in such a big game. And another thing as much as the boy tries Nicky Clark has had umpteen chances and it ain't happened as far as I'm concerned so this just proves what I always thought u really don't have a clue what u r talking about.

5.) 16 Apr 2016 01:45:54
Having problems with someone else's opinion again jayC? Chill out a bit or grow up, whatever's quicker.

Teams across the world of football change tactics all the time, especially when they are playing a better side- an at the moment wether you like it or not Celtic are a better team than us.

Injuries mean that going to have major problems playing the usual formation anyway

Shields is a decent player. Probably won't get a new contract but he has been a standout player for both hibs and killie in spl in the past.

6.) 16 Apr 2016 01:50:19
Like it or not Clark will be involved. No way Miller can play 90mins so Clark will be on as a sub minimum.

Was at the home game - that juve side tore us to pieces every time they went forward. One of most underrated team's imo they were up there with the best Italian team's of all time.

Reason he's not had a club is due to injuries and loss of form. ie he is rank rotten.

Sadly this (desperate) move seems to indicate that our other CB targets won't be coming.

Did he light up spl in a Kilmarnock shirt. No. Did he light up euros in a NI shirt. Never got a game. Great signing, trumps dembelle any day.

Seriously what is the point in signing player's like this, they cost us money in wages and don't improve the team one bit. Something is seriously wrong if we can't train a youngster to act as backup to fullbacks. What the @#$% is the point of having a youth set up!

Not a good move - we should be giving a chance for one of our youngsters to act as backup in full back position not signing someone like this. Like many fans I hoped we would bring in someone better than tav not worse. Very like the goalkeeper - going for a backup to fod rather than a replacement.

This let's sign an Iceland player stuff is ludicrous.

They are very well set up to defend their box and frustrate opponents. Is that how we plan to approach games next season?

The only members of their squad who are good enough to play for us already play for major team's.

As funny as watching them beat engerland was that doesn't mean they are a team of quality players.

Most sensibly minded people would suggest that without a quality striker that there is a lack of goals on the team.

We struggled for last third of season to score against championship level teams, seems fairly logical that it's going to be harder, not easier, for us to score at a higher level.

For me this is a real issue that should have been the priority not last thing we try to resolve. Football is about scoring and keeping balls out the net. Everything else doesn't count for anything.
