"ROTTERDAM - Danilo can earn 45,000 euros a week at the Scottish Rangers, which is more than double his current salary at Feyenoord. That explains why the 24-year-old striker is eager to move to the Scottish top club. And that departure will almost certainly come this Monday. " De Telegraaf.

45000 euros is far more than double his current salary because he only earns 9400k weekly, very poor journalism again.

So we are 45k to a guy who’s on £9400 a week? Not a good deal for us if the case and we must think he’s a great player as Feyenoord obviously don’t?

24 Jul 2023 10:32:27
So who's leaving as it would be top heavy with forwards, Matondo? Sakala? Roofe? as far as Roofe is concerned I would hope he is given some time to prove fitness, but if Danilo is in then someone will be wanting out no matter their fitness situation.

Dry alll three out.

5.) 24 Jul 2023

John nobody be mental enough to pay money for roofe surely? Be good to get his big wages off the wage bill.

24 Jul 2023 12:35:19
Never mind Roofe Paul what about Matondo. Who on earth would think signing him is a great idea apart from us. 30 grand a week for someone who can run fast.

Im not overly fussed about the wage structure, with the management we have at board level right now, i believe if we couldn't afford it, we wouldn't offer it. Its probably the most competent board we have had in a long while.

45 euros is not as much as £45k, but even then I don`t see us making him the highest paid player at the club. We can more than double his current salary without going that high. Could be a Dutch paper writing an article to appease the Feyenoord fans about why the club couldn`t keep him.

9.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 13:19:44
Matondo can do 100mph to get the ball then lose control and run it out first touch is like a clearance, Schalke dropped near £10m on that diddy . Someone on here suggested Wrexham but he will end up in the Welsh league at a club nobody could spell.

10.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 14:20:16
I would hope we will try to offload Roofe now while he is fit because he’ll soon be on the treatment table again.

11.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 14:24:14
John how likely we get the 3 forwards out?

12.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 14:45:42
Suppose we can keep hoping Roofe gets fit for a while but if the guy can be moved on to save wages it might be better, don't see any buyers possible though. Saudi?

24 Jul 2023 14:47:22
DRB i can see Matondo going nowhere because no one will be willing to pay the wages that we are paying him.

Oryg I have a feeling Roofe will miraculously have a good season and find a new club get his last big move then get more real bad injuries for the length of his contract and retire a very wealthy man.

Walter time will tell.

15.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 15:25:46
Three Cheers tend to agree with you on all of that, if the likes of Matondo wants to sit on wages that's tough but we should have seen that at his last club who dropped a load of money on him. Roofe if injured we need to accept it, no choice really.

16.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 15:39:39
Did roofe not have an operation? Who’s to say he can’t get fit and stay fit? Surely the sports science / medical team asses these types of situations?

17.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 15:42:48
Whoever was responsible for signing and negotiating Matondo needs his arse kicked, how much did Schalke lose was it £9m christ if that wasn't a clue then nothing could be, even a poor Welsh national side wouldn't have him, I assume the guy at Schalke who signed him is now out of work?

18.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 16:44:53
It's going to be a big ask from the club to get all these players out this window.

19.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 16:58:27
You will see movement with players that are down the pecking order by end of window.
Wouldn’t be surprised if an offer came in for Sakala.
Maybe Matondo out on loan would be the best for player and us as he hasn’t played much and it would get him off the wage bill.
Same would apply to Roofe if we decide he could be moved on.
Just my take on it.

20.) 24 Jul 2023
24 jul 2023 16:59:53
as john said the likelihood is all 3 will go, i think mstondo needs games but ut may be too kate for him, fashion isn't going to change, roofe. if he had 6 months clear fitness would be good but unlikely now.

21.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 17:17:10
At current exchange rates €45k is about £39k however we don't really know the terms of the contract and I doubt the journo's do either. Surely, all wages are target driven and a good part of that monthly wage will be results based. Theoretically, that should be as good as money in the Bank in terms of League Games but this team will need to win trophies, presumably, to max out on their income.

22.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 20:19:08
we look to add to midfield and attack but last season it was the
defending that ley us down on
seversl games.

23.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 21:26:33
Defending on our left side was awful, that's Davies and nodding off regularly and cannot tackle Barasic the bomb scare, a guy who if he gets selected before Ridvan would be an outrage.

24.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 21:35:28
Beale good post
You put only before £9400 a week.
Not bad weeks wages that.
Know what u meant though ?.

25.) 24 Jul 2023
24 Jul 2023 22:31:19
Who leaving. Should now be main strategy to offload, c. we could get shot team load for best possible.

I hope Sakala does not leave as i rate him highly and he has a lot of skill and pace just needs game time and he will start scoring goals.
