Cant quite believe the uproar aboit roofes tackle. Anybody that's played the game at decent level or has half a footballing brain will tell you roofes tryin to get his foot in then turn his body to shield the ball. The st j player put his leg in roofe was already committed. There is no way he is getting banned for that. No way.

There’s no way he’ll get done retrospectively as there is no malaise intended at all, he’s really aggressive which is what we want all 11 players to follow. I don’t think it’s the best challenge he is likely to make but compared to Morelos it’s night and day.

Agreed it’s shocking! The Record had 4! separate articles that all focused on it! It was their lead story right after the game, they asked Gary Mac about it, they then asked Callum Davidson about it who, to his credit didn’t make a deal of it and dismissed it as one of these things that happens (which it was by the way, it was a miss timed attempt to get his foot in front of the ball and a booking was the right decision, end of, nothing more to it) and that there was no malice in it, so the Record decided to lead that story with ‘Davidson’s SURPRISE reaction to Kemal Roofe flash point! ’ Then this morning they have ANOTHER article with everyone giving their ‘analysis’ of it?!? Seriously? Talk about an agenda!

Your point is very valid Callanderblue. I know they talk a load of s**t and if it was just them spouting off and it didn’t end up affecting us in anyway I wouldn’t care. My point was more in regards to the number of institutions in this country who seem to have people working for them that have an agenda. If it’s not the Record it’s the BBC, it’s quite hard to actually avoid the number of negative stories that are being put out there in connection with us, and when they could end up leading to sanctions against us or our players then there’s a problem. And I used to be very much of the opinion that folk thinking there were ‘people out to get us’ were just being a bit paranoid. Now however it seems to be getting quite blatant from some sections of the media.

Tbh it’s getting ridiculous. Morelos stamp was hardly that bad and yet how much air time did it get. At worst brown yellow card and yes Roofe could have got a red card but I see what he was trying to do and it wasn’t to injury the player even Callum Davidson knows it wasn’t a nasty tackle.

All this retrospective punishment is getting silly how much does it cost the SFA and they tend to look at these nothing incidents. The Curtis main challenge on Barisic was horrific but it didn’t make anything like the headlines of these recent 3 incidents.

Your spot on Paul, you can clearly see him make the motion to get his foot the other side of the ball well before the st Johnstone player is anywhere near it. When you see it full speed it doesn’t look like anything then when it’s in slow motion it looks like a shocker. I got a message immediately from a non Ger saying that’s the worst tackle of the season. It wasn’t even a tackle in my eyes and he’s obviously forgot about the Dundee utd player putting a hole in Alfies knee and Curtis Main going into Barisic.
