I've heard a few things from my mate who works corporate for Rangers.
Lammers to Vitesse loan and we get manhole for 2.
Shankland for 1.5 plus Soutar
Kent seemingly wants back and we're not sure.

Carrick, while he might not be my first choice all things being equal, I think we're sorely lacking Scottish players at the moment and need to fill that gap. On that basis I think he'd be a good signing and would mesh well with Goldson. He's a big lad, no nonsense, and I thought we did have gone in for him when he left Aberdeen. I think Soutar and Davies haven't cut it beside Connor because they're not robust enough l. Just my view though, it's a game of opinions!

On reflection Carrick, I'd probably prefer Harry Souttar over McKenna. But that rumour seems to have died a death.

Gutted Souttar hasn't made it here. Think his strengths lay in a back 3 alongside 2 robust, hard hitting defenders.

Hearts do not want soutar, they are looking for a Right back as they have cover for CB already.
If we are to get Shankland then it will be cash only or Cash plus lowry.

I like the sound of swapping Lammers and would probably take an actual manhole as a swap but as part of a deal to get Manhoef that's even better .
Can`t see us letting Souttar go, he`s done okay, is in an around the team and he`s Scottish which we need, more likely Davies to go.
I would take Kent back but if we sign Manhoef would we want to bring in two wingers?
Again because he`s Scottish, McKenna would be a decent replacement for Davies but by all accounts he`s a Celtic man so if they want him too its unlikely he will choose us.

I honestly think Souttar is just as good if not better than McKenna. Souttar gets a hard time from our fans. It's okay him ahead of Goldson honestly.

Souttar is a liability, gets too tight. Takes risks, not the good kind and is often clumsy on the ball. He’s a squad player and only just. Yes capable of a good game. But that’s not enough. Christ Goldson has made the same amount of mistakes with hundreds of more games played. Think about that! Hundreds!

John - yeah I can see that McKenna is a more realistic option. Back in Summer there was some rumours that a loan might be an option for Harry Souttar, and I think he's barely played a game this season, but I appreciate Leicester aren't really going to write off £15m that quickly!
I would prefer him over McKenna if it was at all possible (which it looks like it aint! ), but I do still think McKenna would be an upgrade over Davies and John Souttar.

Souttar can carry the ball and play better passes in behind, good with the head as well, yes he has a mistake him as the rest have, wither a back three would suit possibly, one thing for sure he’s a mile better than McKenna.

The only question I believe that matters about McKenna is can he come in and take charge of the back 4! One of our biggest problems is we don’t have a leader at the back if he can’t come in and take control then move on and find someone who can because that’s what’s missing above all.

That would be a decent window. I know it’ll not be a popular opinion but i’d take Kent back. When that wee man was on it he terrorised defenders. Said before ofcourse his stats weren’t great but he drew 2-3 players out to him every time he played which made so much space in other areas which Morelos etc took advantage of. He’d be a great option to have and who knows under Clement and in a new system he might improve on other aspects of his game.
