What are people's views Bennett and Bisgrove actively exploring stadium naming rights.
I'm told up to ten year deal on very significant money for us.
Would easily cover increase in capacity.

May be pie in the sky but told it could be 10 million for ten years.

Got no problem with it, every club looks for additional revenue. They could call it what they like for £10m, it’ll always be Ibrox to me.

10 million for 10 years for naming rights is far off the mark. Any naming rights should and would be sold for 3-5m per season. No matter the league you are in. One off events are sold for 1m if makes sense.

Tonight at the training ground is a big invitee sponsor gathering so could be many discussions with brands this evening. Richard Gough will attend as an ambassador for the club amongst others. It’s a big opportunity to show off the training facilities as well as good marketing for the club tonight.

I honestly have no issue with it John if it brings in that sort of money over 10 years. It'll still be "Ibrox" to us fans, we're not going to start calling it anything different.

Wouldn't be like we were selling it, would still be our asset and they couldn't put anything up on the main stand façade anyway given it's status so any signage would need to go elsewhere (I think) .

I've never understood why anyone would be against a sponsor sticking their name on a stadium for the right money.

The 10 mil per year seems far fetched but at that figure you h e to take it, get the stadium upgraded as much as possible to generate revenue.

No brainer for me if its close to 10m a year, I'm sure people used to complain about shirt sponsorships yet now we've got various sponsorships splattered around various parts of the strip.
Who was the boxer years ago that had sponsorship on soles of shoes. genius.
