Yesterday there was a lot of people saying Thelwell was sacked or left the club has this happened or is it more hope than true.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Oct 2025 12:05:12
It was utter bs started by a fake letter on X.

16 Oct 2025 12:07:01
Cheers, Stromtrooper.

16 Oct 2025 14:10:56
People on here believe everything printed.

16 Oct 2025 14:30:17
John2575 I don't believe everything was finding it strange it wasn't announced by club so incase I missed it I asked question.

16 Oct 2025 13:36:26
Caught me out as usual with online stuff i'll never learn.

Too much wishful thinking I think.

16 Oct 2025 14:57:55
StevieG WE all get caught from time to time and that's why I asked a simple question incase I missed anything suppose will have to watch what I ask in future.

16 Oct 2025 16:44:12
Ally sorry not a dig at u, i'm talking about manager recruitment and number who have allegedly rejected us.

16 Oct 2025 17:15:44
John2575 I get it, it get so frustrating sometimes on this site and I fully respect the posters in the know, so no hard feelings take it easy.

16 Oct 2025 11:16:48
I get we all want to know who the new manager is going to be.

If it is Muscat then ideal, but supposedly he will stay in China until end of there season,

We have an important league coming up on Saturday, surely there should be news of who is in charge for that,

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Oct 2025 11:50:48
Stevie Smith by all accounts.

16 Oct 2025 11:51:00
Thelwell, s out on the training pitch today, multi tasker, that one, we are in good hands. πŸ™πŸ».

16 Oct 2025 12:00:05
Thought he left yesterday Thelwell or was this all nonsense.

16 Oct 2025 10:11:24
Forget the fact we have a football management structure in place.
Ignore the job that Thelwell has done so far.
If mangers like Rhol and Gerrard want to drop out, that's their prerogative.
But what appointment are they going to get where they are fighting for titles, cups and have European football every season?
Our domestic league might not be held in the greatest esteem around the World.
Expectations though for Rangers will far exceed anything they will ever experience in their career.
I would rather have a lesser-known manager who sees us a challenge to get us back where we belong.
Aye, we are struggling just now but we shouldn't be bending over backwards to accommodate anyone.
Get someone who sees us as a privilege to manage.
Not a stepping stone to some promised land.

Agree9 Disagree0

16 Oct 2025 10:54:59
MPH I understand that sentiment, I believe Rohl has pulled out die to the fact after Gerrard the club looked at someone not originally in the picture therefore in my opinion ruling him out.

Although not head coach I am positive that the pressure involved at all levels of FC Bayern MΓΌnchen at least equal if not completely eclipse that of Rangers.

16 Oct 2025 10:55:08
Well said MrPot πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§watp πŸ₯Š.

16 Oct 2025 10:58:15
Can't disagree with that potato. Disrespected league but one heck of a job and responsibilities. Some don't actually get it until they experience it. Muscat knows what to expect.

16 Oct 2025 11:01:11
Dont think anybody really overly bothered with rohl dropping out. After martin if the went with Rohl it would have been up hill battle for him straight away. If he's such a good coach am sure he will have a job soon.

16 Oct 2025 11:02:19
Asa, Bayern is Bayern, but RANGERS is RANGERS 😁.

16 Oct 2025 11:07:27
I can only see a third manager very soon, only my thinking, but Muscat way of playing the game gets us punished in Europe, we as a club need too go deep in Europe most season, that is where the capital is, our owners will see this as a must with any manager, hopefully he can adapt for European football but i don't see it, one way of playing the game, right now I'm only looking for success in Scotland, he could bring that, 100% backing him, but seeing a different situation from most.

16 Oct 2025 11:09:32
ASA the pressure of managing Rangers is not eclipsed but the coaching job (not head coach) at any club in the world mate. don't be so silly mate.

16 Oct 2025 11:13:05
Apart from 2 titles Rangers haven't been challenging for league titles since coming back up.

16 Oct 2025 11:16:00
Spot on MPH, we are Glasgow Rangers.

16 Oct 2025 11:25:08
Success in Scotland is a must, Europe is a bonus πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ.

16 Oct 2025 11:27:22
All levels of Bayern!? The pressure of a coach at Bayern equals or eclipses that of the head coach/ manager at Rangers? Hmm not sure about that mate.

16 Oct 2025 11:39:48
No one eclipses the famous, not in my eyes or heart.

16 Oct 2025 11:49:52
Newman, Europe ain't a bonus for our owners mate, not much cash in Scotland.

16 Oct 2025 11:58:03
I am only saying from my own knowledge of the way things operate in Germany.

More often than not it is both manager and assistant manager that are called into meetings with the executive.

The heat from the top is put on both, therefore the pressure is on both.

16 Oct 2025 12:08:08
Great post, MPH.

Paul, I am more bothered about Rohl walking away than SG, so what you said not true at all.

You could be right Mystar, but who else can we get when 2 guys have already walked away for whatever reason it may be not one person on here knows why.

16 Oct 2025 13:12:11
My Star I understand stand that, But can you really expect this shower of shysters to be successful in Europe let alone Scotland. πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ.

16 Oct 2025 15:20:39
Understand πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ.

16 Oct 2025 09:02:57
As I have said before no matter who is selected as new manager we need to give them the full support and ample time.

I know absolutely nothing about Muscat I will be honest with that.

What I will say is of the posters on here are correct then he is a carbon copy of Ange postecoglu and is completely inflexible.

Can these seriously unfit and underwhelming players play angeball?

My concern is Tottenham domestically and now Nottingham Forest are not equipped.

16 Oct 2025 10:49:37
Asathor no matter who get managers job we have as you say support him back him and give him time for the sake of our wonderful club we all support, if its muscat he will be his own self and his style of play and will be judge on results like all managers and you never know might sign a couple of gems in transfer market.

16 Oct 2025 10:56:37
If that's the case Asa then muscat has to be allowed to bring in the players he believes can play his style of football.

16 Oct 2025 11:08:32
That is a fair point tbh, Asa. I was never a huge fan of Postecoglu and also felt that his style of football would not work everywhere (European nights tended to be disasters for Celtic). I'm hoping that Muscat isn't blinkered in his way of thinking in that, if the situation determines it, he can be more flexible in his approach. A sort of best of both worlds which the likes of Martin and Postecoglu can't deliver.

16 Oct 2025 11:11:48
Totally sir Walter and it will take time to build a team as some of these players are certainly not good enough unless new manager gets them motivated and playing.

16 Oct 2025 11:33:44
Asathor, I have actually heard before that Muscat is more flexible than Postecoglou and will opt for a plan B if necessary. What kinds of changes he has made from his usual tactics I don't know, but I don't think he would have our team go on an all-out attack even after having players sent off the pitch like Postecoglou would.

16 Oct 2025 11:38:10
Mark bosnich on ssn saying although he's similar principles to AP he is far more adaptable and willing to do what's required to get a result, biggest issue still for me is when we can get him. πŸ’™.

16 Oct 2025 11:54:36
Fergie like hearing things like that mate, hopefully I'll got him wrong, but his teams still lose some goals.

16 Oct 2025 12:09:28
With our defence and the nick its in right now no matter who the coach is we lose goals.

16 Oct 2025 12:17:27
Let's hope so guys πŸ‘.

16 Oct 2025 12:26:53
Well Ange likes to play a high line so Muscat should be ok as our defenders have been so good at that all season.

16 Oct 2025 12:27:42
ASA, I'd assume that Muscat will see player fitness levels as an issue and rectify it immediately. I too am concerned by this "Carbon copy of Ange" He may have dominated a poor scottish league at the time but by my reckoning our leauge is much stronger now than when he was in charge of the Crew.

I'm disappointed with the candidates that are being considered I'd have hoped the 49ers would have pulled out all the stops for this appointment considering the cock up they made with Martin.

16 Oct 2025 08:57:11
This my last post until we start employing proper people that our fan base deserves my season ticket has been handed down through generations and will not be back am done if it is muscat. Personally for me when you look at the goals scored and goals against it reads pub football. Am actually embarrassed by this appointment to the point a won't return to ibrox again. There are some fantastic posters on this site and very knowledgeable people regarding all things Rangers be kind and remember we all love club β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™.

16 Oct 2025 09:06:58
Kip, he certainly isn't my preferred choice, but whoever comes in, the fans are going to have to give the new manager our full backing.

16 Oct 2025 09:10:26
Kip Bear I understand your disappointment and I can understand your sentiments.

I am disappointed that it appears we have chosen to abandon the vision that was sold when the takeover took place.

Saying that I would plead for you not to walk away and to give whoever is new manager your full support.

Now some will call me hypocritical because I said I would walk away from the club if Beale returned but what I will say is Muscat has not done anything disrespectful to rangers.

16 Oct 2025 09:13:38
Obviously you don't love the club as much as you would like me to believe. Just because you don't agree with a managerial appointment you feel the need to tell the world that you won't be back? Cheerio Ta Ta the club certainly won't miss your nonsupport. Do you sing🎢 Follow Follow we will follow on but only sometimes if it suits me🎢.

16 Oct 2025 09:13:54
Who would you rather have taken the role Kip? At the end of the day he's won things, and our league isn't great either.

16 Oct 2025 09:16:46
Who did you want, Kip?
Seems a bit of an extreme reaction.
He has played an attacking style of football wherever he's been.
He's been successful in all but one job he's had. He has experience of winning trophies unlike our last manager.

I'm happy with this appointment.

16 Oct 2025 09:22:54
I think our prospective new head coach kevin muscat assisted by neil mccann is a good appointment Kipbear tbh mate πŸ‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§.

16 Oct 2025 09:23:01
Not really happy about Muscat either Kipbear, do as you please, but know manager will ever stop me supporting my great club.

16 Oct 2025 09:25:57
Like u mate I'm not for him but need to give him a go if it is him. We might be pleasantly surprised. got to hope.

16 Oct 2025 09:26:34
Your season ticket has been handed down generations and you're chucking it based on the stats of a potential manager's stats in Asia? Bizarre post Kipbear.

16 Oct 2025 09:30:39
Cool, thanks for letting us know. I'll be getting behind my team as I'm sure 99% of our fans will too. I'm sure we'll see you back on here before long like the rest of the posters who post that they won't be back then come back.

16 Oct 2025 09:34:31
You seen danny rohls goals for and against kip? a lot of 4 and 5 nil doings in there as well mate. I think they all come with their risks tbh. I hope we get it right and you are back using that ticket pal ✌️.

16 Oct 2025 09:36:54
Look forward to seeing your next post in the year 2525 Kip,

16 Oct 2025 09:43:14
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

16 Oct 2025 09:54:56
Give the man a chance. Time will tell. Do not burn your bridges yet.

16 Oct 2025 10:15:19
Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome.

Bill Struth.

16 Oct 2025 10:35:16
Kipbear that is a bit judgemental before he even gets to work with the team. How will you feel with that decision if he is a roaring success.
Take a breath and think about it. I really didn't want Rohl but would've given him every chance of appointed.
It's your season ticket to do with what you want.

16 Oct 2025 10:47:37
Kip please don't say you wanted danny rohl.

16 Oct 2025 11:05:03
I'm embarrassed by this post and I'm sure once you sit back and reflect you will be too. I have had my ST for 58years. It's passed down a few year ago to my grandson. I have been through more bad times than good with Rangers. Willie Waddell, John Greig, Souness, Walter, Le Guen, Pedro and Russell Martin. Would I change it, would I ****. There's more to being a Rangers fan than just supporting our football club. It's a way of life. Some don't understand that whereas others need no explanation. Remember the cry my friend 🫑.

16 Oct 2025 11:10:13
I nearly stood up and saluted there, mph 😁.

16 Oct 2025 11:20:11
And so we should, SeekerπŸ˜‚
By the way, I get we are all disillusioned / raging at the lack of success.
But look at it another way.
We have won 55 titles in our 143 year history.

16 Oct 2025 11:42:07
Agree Florida, it flows in the blood, mind body and soul.

16 Oct 2025 11:42:09
What are you on about chief? His current team with a mid-league budget have a +66 goal difference? 96 goals scored in 30 league games? 3.2 goals scored per game compared to 1 conceded each game for a MID-TABLE budget team is absolutely wild statistics, quick review of his other clubs in mid-table budget positions largely and it's a similar story so I'm sorry - where is this statistical disasterclass you've came across?

These posts are feeling so much like rage bate and there's almost 0 research or effort backing empty statements. Ridiculous.

16 Oct 2025 11:44:30
Kipbear must've been a former player and was once halved by Muscat. Only explanation for this.

16 Oct 2025 12:11:26
Rohl would be better than Muscat can't believe some can see that but hey Ho whoever gets it gets my backing.

16 Oct 2025 13:02:07
Who was your option Kip from who wanted it, got to be realistic in who we can attract at the present and who was interested in ghe job.

16 Oct 2025 08:36:02
Was at the barbers yesterday. He told me when he was in Australia he saw muscat play. He saw muscat commit the worst tackle he'd ever seen in a player. Walked off before he got a red card and said that was him retired! Makes souness sound like a Nancy boy πŸ˜‚
I expect our new manager to be. let's say. competitive.
I expect a couple of asian stars to follow at fair prices. Onwards.

Agree3 Disagree0

16 Oct 2025 09:24:09
Yes let's give a guy who couldn't be trusted to play old firm games the the responsibility to teach others how to handle the pressure. Good one.

16 Oct 2025 09:27:21
We've all seen the tackle 100 times, thought he won the ball personally!

16 Oct 2025 09:39:15
Hope he can drill some of that grit and determination into some of ours, not the hurlock school of decapation though, but we do lack a hunger on the pitch.

16 Oct 2025 09:46:52
And that should make us like him why exactly? A thug like that shouldn't be allowed near this job.

16 Oct 2025 10:08:35
The more I read of Muscat the less impressed i get.

16 Oct 2025 10:31:30
Nothing tough about trying to injure players. Get them on a rugby pitch and see how hard they think they are. They'd be like rag dolls.

16 Oct 2025 10:39:33
Just mistimed it πŸ˜… Kaiser, his teams don't run around halving players.

16 Oct 2025 10:49:14
Why not do the bouncy. Still all lobe gazza though? Duncan ferguson adored by everybody in england due to him being a thug but muscat is a no go?

16 Oct 2025 11:13:32
You obviously hated Souness too then?

It's a man's game. I only played junior, but it was common to leave a bit on an opposing player to "slow him down".

In some matches in Ayrshire it was common to even leave a bit on your own player or even the ref! 🀣.

16 Oct 2025 11:15:16
Tbh, today's players are like pussy cats compared to players of the 40's, 50's and 60's. I remember my dad telling me you could get away with more or less anything during the early part of any game, apart from maybe shooting somebody. The wee trainer at his first club used to tell him to let the centre forward know he was there early on. My dad maybe took that advice to the extreme at times mind you 😫.

16 Oct 2025 11:16:22
I was just relaying my barber story. It doesn't mean I idolise hatchet men. However we need a bit of grit. We are getting outmuscled all the time. Loved the old Leeds too as it happens. and souness. Whose never shouted get intae them πŸ˜‚.

16 Oct 2025 11:43:11
Stop showing off Walter, some of us haven't been to a barbers in a very long time.
