Agreed, Stevie, but always a challenge.

Preference is for sales rather than loans, which pushes deals to later in the window and further complicated by the relatively high wages we pay some players to get them in the first place.

We also need clubs willing to take our cats and dogs, and the players themselves can be the major delaying factor.

That's what happens when you give bang average players high wages and the team doesn't win anything.
Lesser teams won't touch them because they won't pay their wages. That's why many end up being loans until they run down their contracts.
What I do like is the club are sticking to valuations on the big assets.

Had a look again on the incident involving Devlin yesterday.
Tackle by the defender was a shocker when you see it, a lunge over the ball and catches Devlin on the ankle red for me the second one the guy leads with his elbow again straight red for me .

On a seoerate one Caden who had already been booked, picks the ball up when trying to shield it again that's deliberate handball so a second yellow to say the least .Double standards again by the non corrupt refs .

Couldn't agree more and sheep complaining, but the goal chopped off after you see again, clear push and offside. Yes, we were not great, but Aberdeen were really poor and can see Celtic take 2 or 3 off them on Wednesday.

I am not fully up to what the rules are for VAR to intervene and ask the ref to come to the monitor. Surely they must have looked at these incidents and slowed them down.

Rangers got free kicks for the fouls on Devlin, surely they must have thought they were dangerous and asked the ref to view. But then again it's us, so they turn a blind eye.

Also, thought Happe should have got a second yellow card at the penalty. Not every foul is a booking, and the rule is, if a genuine attempt is made to play the ball, it's not a red, but that type of tackle in midfield would have been a yellow, so it should still be a yellow in the box.

Both things can be true at same time, Gazza/Canter. Everyone does need to start somewhere, but you can usually tell them from genuine guys when they don't introduce themselves and have something negative to say first comment.

Been having a look at the Raskin situation today and noticed something quite interesting. Probably absolutely nothing, but worth keeping an eye on 😂

I've seen no current reports linking Raskin with Brighton, so this isn't an ITK shout or a rumour.

Brighton have just sold Carlos Baleba to Man United for £65m plus £5m in add-ons and were reported to be looking at Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as a possible replacement.

Camara's situation is still unresolved and he's attracting plenty of interest.

That's what got me thinking.

If Brighton get Camara, there's probably nothing in this whatsoever 😂

But if they don't, they'll presumably have other midfield options.

Brighton have been linked with Raskin before — although the link I can verify is from last summer rather than anything current.

Positionally there's at least some logic to it as well. Raskin can play 6/8, is comfortable receiving the ball deep and progressing possession. He's not a like-for-like Baleba replacement, particularly in terms of Baleba's athleticism and carrying, but it's broadly the area Brighton need to address.

They've obviously got the financial capacity after selling Baleba too.

Meanwhile McInnes has confirmed Rangers haven't received a formal bid for Raskin despite leaving him out while a potential transfer is being resolved.

So I'm absolutely NOT saying Brighton are signing Raskin 😂

Just wondering whether Camara might be an interesting one to watch.

If Brighton don't get him and suddenly appear in the Raskin conversation before the window closes, this post might age quite well. 👀😂
