Perfect result in the Hearts vs City game.

Title is still a possibility. Huge 90 minutes coming up for the ladies.

Does it need us to win our next 2 and Hearts to at least draw against Hibs in their final game?

17 May 2026 15:47:38
Been here too many times Ehl in recent seasons. Think we'll win today, but we will struggle next week, but hope I am wrong. I could see Hibs beating Hearts next week, but we need to win.

Yes, Angus.

17 May 2026 18:06:36
Doing the goal difference a bit of a favour too.

17 May 2026 18:29:18
Loved McAulys goal, of course she meant it. 😉

17 May 2026 18:30:55
I've got my tickets for Petershill next week. Potential helicopter Sunday all over again. 🙏

17 May 2026 19:08:24
Cooper, was chuffed to see Mia score. Hope she can notch a couple more before she leaves in the summer.

How did Boyce play? I think she has the potential to be a superstar.

17 May 2026 19:26:58
Where is McAulay going? 🥲

Boyce was excellent today, I thought. Have to be honest that I hadn't seen much of her playing until recent weeks. Another star in the making. Kruft is just. 👌

The average age of that team must be about 20. Unbelievable.

17 May 2026 21:50:33
Cooper, probably as far away from Crichton as possible, lol, I have a sneaky feeling somewhere in Spain.

Yeah, cb is a tough position to step up at, especially at 17 in a must win game.

Kruft is one of the most naturally gifted footballers I've ever worked with, genuinely has a sixth sense for the game.

I love the pathway from academy to first team in the women's game. It's pretty special.

17 May 2026 22:11:42
Will we make transfer fees out of these players? How much is someone like McAuly worth in the women's game?

Will be gutted to see her go, but the future of the women's national team is looking bright!

17 May 2026 14:21:24
Our fans are absolutely ludicrous, granted we are upset how the season has ended but to call for the owners head is mental, we all have small memories of the previous years been skint and a run down Ibrox. Not even 1 year in the job and fans shouting there heads off.

I don't back the decision on Rohl as I think he's to in experience for the Rangers job but 120 percent back the owners.
We're has the respect went between our fans and club we have enough enemies across the city and beyond.

Agree6 Disagree0

17 May 2026 15:35:28
Slipper, I agree. But, re Rohl, he now has 2/3rds of a season managing Rangers, so is more experienced than many managers people want. He knows the demands of the club, and possibly only Martin O'Neill of current SPL managers know how that feels now, i.e. managing the OF that is.

17 May 2026 13:47:25
What's everyone's opinion

Where does the fault lie in respect to us imploding after the split?

Is it a Danny Rohl issue?
Or
Are our players just not good enough?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2026 14:15:39
This explains it for me:

One more point probably worth highlighting from Cavenagh: "We look at it and we think that the club culture needs to change. We look at it and think that leadership needs to change on the pitch and the squad needs to change.

And with those, I think the manager can succeed.

"But until you solve those, the manager isn't going to succeed, so that's why it is our priority."

17 May 2026 15:09:31
Last season's summer window simply wasn't good enough. We didn't have the required players. Miovski failed, the attacking midfielders didn't produce enough. Still no number 6, and the entire defense needs rebuilt.

Loaning in an entire defense is utter madness.

Tavernier, Butland, and Raskin might all be gone next season. There will be no case to even mention a "leadership group" because nobody will have even been here long enough.

17 May 2026 15:10:26
Andrew Cavanah and Parage. They are fully responsible and they both recognise that which is refreshing to hear.

17 May 2026 15:17:36
Rfc, I don't think there is one person or department at fault or to be blamed.

The post split decline was a combination of failings that run through multiple areas of the club.

I think AC's interview makes that pretty clear, and he calls out that the infrastructure around the Head Coach and the first team needs to be addressed.

17 May 2026 15:34:55
Ehl, you're correct imo there is a collective blame for this season.

I understand we will see major change in backroom staff.

17 May 2026 16:04:51
Yes John, I agree with the changes to Danny Rohl's backroom team, as like I've said before, I'd heard Lee McCulloch and I know the family, but quite correctly, Lee's dad, John McCulloch, won't tell you one way or the other if anything is happening there regarding jig. 🤔

17 May 2026 16:11:20
No, really looking to blame anyone but.
Kindae felt for a while that too many players in our squad lack consistency in their play.
We just don't know what we're going to get from one game to the next.
We also have concerns over their fitness, so mibby it's a double edged sword, one's to blame for the other sort of thing.
This might explain some of Danny's decision making?
If he's told that 50 -75% of the squad are only good for 45 mins or less etc, how do u form team selections - Subs and in game tactics round that?
Do feel that it would b better for the club if the dressing room had a real good spring clean.

Personally don't need fancy signings, jist boys that will show up on match day and put in a regular shift.
We could add a sprinkle of magic dust in the right areas, but the enginehouse must be operating every match day.
Some boys playing in our league the now, all good pro's, would b great additions to our squad.
Luke Graham, Jack Milne, Elijah Just, Elliot Watt, Calvin Miller.

17 May 2026 21:40:36
We need more experience. So far, for next season Souttar will be the oldest outfield player at 29. Next is a few at 26, with several 23 and under. Experience can help players through difficult spells on and off the park.

And, we need 8 or 9 leaders on the park, not a handful in the squad. I understand the model is to sell on, but we need a core to build around.

17 May 2026 13:11:43
Reports confirm cavanagh is staying next season. Happy with that as gives the club stability. Hopefuly we get players in early Rohl assistant in early also.

Agree5 Disagree0

17 May 2026 13:20:45
Can you clarify what you mean by Cavanagh is staying?

17 May 2026 13:22:13
Were there any reports he was away?

17 May 2026 13:32:59
I think he means Cavanagh statement Rohl is staying.

17 May 2026 13:35:12
I'm sure he means Rohl is staying. Unfortunately.

17 May 2026 13:49:20
For me, it stops the chop change of the manager carousel. Let's see how it goes and what happens in player movements, in and out. A full preseason will undoubtedly allay the fitness issues EHL alluded to. Let's see how much support Rohl gets. Recruitment needs to be good.

17 May 2026 14:25:55
Nobody better would touch us with a bargepole.

17 May 2026 14:35:47
Hamm0y, Rohl is staying. This nonsense of changing managers all the time is tiring and destabilising. No club is successful changing managers all the time. Time to give Rohl some years to get the work done.

17 May 2026 14:39:00
I'm glad he's staying. He showed with Captain Marvelous, he ain't taking no prisoners, something we've needed in the past 3 managers.

17 May 2026 17:26:40
I'll get behind him but I reckon he will be replaced before Christmas.

17 May 2026 13:11:25
So now that the dust is starting to settle on an entertaining weekend I would like to share my thoughts and welcome your opinions.

First up the conspiracy theory stuff about referees. I saw a lot of Rangers fans wading in to this debate but for me it's our lack of ability to win games that has cost us the league, not referees decisions.

Second up did we really want Hearts to win the league and gain significant financial improvements whilst already benefiting from Tony Blooms money? Or did we justify it by our contempt for that lot from the East End?

Thirdly if Celtic win the Scottish Cup then I believe that moves us up into Europa qualifying? I might be wrong on this but again would our contempt for them stop us from wanting what's best for the club?

Fourthly regardless where we finish in the league I was brought up in the 70s with the mindset that no matter where we finish we are a club with standards, class and dignity. None of that on display across the city.

We are Rangers and we will return to our natural position at the top. Never give up hope regardless of how long it takes. Keep believing fellow bears WATP.

Agree15 Disagree0

17 May 2026 13:29:18
I would give up a spot in Europa for Dunfermline to best them next week. The money isn't that much different between Europa & Conference. Europe is a bonus. We need to start winning leagues again.

17 May 2026 13:35:51
How is Celtic winning a double good for Rangers??

17 May 2026 13:50:27
I want euro football next season more than I want the Mankies to lose.

17 May 2026 13:56:06
Noodles, because if Celtic win the cup we're in the Europa, it befits our club.

17 May 2026 14:07:34
Benefit even.

17 May 2026 14:53:32
I have been one of the fans going on about referees, but I agree that 3rd place is on us and that we have not been good enough to win the league since 55.

I do think we would have won a couple more cups since then, but for the intervention of referees. But that's also subjective, because it's all sliding doors stuff.

But my biggest concern was always what happened to Hearts happening to us.

Football is a game that is decided in moments, and although I would much prefer to believe in the integrity of our officiating, I simply don't.

I have seen so many bizarre incidents since VAR that I cannot ignore my instincts that something has been very off when it comes to our officiating. Bias because of the intimidation by Celtic and their fans is the only plausible explanation for what I have witnessed.

I know it's anathema to Rangers fans, it is to me personally as well, but it's my firmly held opinion that's exactly what has been happening.

I will never apologise for my opinion or expressing it, ok, maybe when I do it in a cheeky way. Lol.

17 May 2026 15:26:58
Tommy, I know we disagree, but there are many plausible explanations for this and, at the bottom of it, I'm afraid is intimidation by Celtic.

As evidence, FIFA have selected no Scottish referees for the World Cup. That decision was made after 3 years of watching referees in European competitions. So, during these matches where they down officiate any Scottish team, they have been deemed not good enough, quality wise, to be amongst the top 150 officials in the world.

And, longer term, they haven't been good enough to break into the elite group of UEFA referees.

So I would say this proves that they are just poor rather than biased. That, in itself, is a sadder set of affairs and Collum should be looking at how to improve those sad facts. It must be bad if McDermott is one of the best we have in this country. In fact, I wish he was biased and intimidated rather than just being piss poor.

17 May 2026 15:40:05
I think we have covered this enough between us for any lifetime, Angus. I will save us some time going over old ground and say that I very much wish I felt the same way but I just don't.

I am envious of you in this respect and really hope you maintain your opinion. I don't want you to change it, because it's horrible feeling this way and I would not wish it on you.

17 May 2026 15:56:08
I find it utterly mind boggling that some of our fans would prefer us to give up a place in Europe that Celtic win the double.

How is that helpful to the club? It isn't? For me, I find it a shame that they put their disdain for another club, before the wellbeing of our own.

Can someone make it make sense, please?

17 May 2026 12:19:51
Sorry I caused confusion yesterday at 17:13 with my nonsensical question, I was typing fast and didn't check it. The jist of my question, which some picked up on, was for those that want rid of Rohl who would you want as manager? And if you don't know who you'd want, what type would you want? Like I'd said, Gio ticked every box for us and that didn't work out. Is it possible that Rohl has had half a season with us and has the capability to see now what is required to compete and win in the Scottish league? Is it possible he can learn from mistakes and take the things that have worked well and add in new ideas from what he's seen in his first 7 months I.e.

a certain type of defender, a solid no nonsense one, or more Scottish players.
Or do we just get rid and start the process again?
I've checked this twice so hopefully makes sense 😂

In Rohl We Trust. 🔴⚪️🔵
Some want Rohl out for the season ending capitulation.
And want McInnes in his place - even though Hearts have capitulated a 9 point lead and allowed Celtic to win the title.
Some want Rohl out after 6 months in charge as there has been no progress.

And want Gerrard in his place - even though Gerrard needed 3 years to get it right and in his first season gained less points than Rohl has achieved this season.

17 May 2026 13:17:14
What boxes did Gio tick?

17 May 2026 13:33:16
Alloa, in an nutshell we need guys who can adapt to the speed and physicality of the SPL and a manager/coach who can implement a game plan that can beat the low block and get behind the opposition, both home and away.

We need strong players, strong runners, quick players who can move it forward immediately. Celtic have got Engles and Nygren who although not world beaters have adapted to the SPL.

17 May 2026 13:55:59
Good quote from Cav that I agree fully with.

"We look at our squad and say we have a bunch of good players. We have a good squad, and we've proven that in fits and spurts throughout the season.

"But we don't yet have a good team.

And that is our focus this summer, building a winning team.

"Our focus will be less about raw talent and more about things like chemistry, leadership, steel and footballing IQ. We are excited to make those adjustments to the squad."

17 May 2026 14:56:02
Total agree, Huey. To win medals and trophies, we need to play as a team, and that hasn't happened enough this season.

Whatever the players think of each other off the park, they break a leg for each other on it. It never has been about individuals and never will be.

17 May 2026 15:12:10
Wsl is regard the following as Gio ticking boxes. He played for us and "knows what it means to play for Rangers", he played at the very highest level, he won titles and cups with Feyenord as a manager, so had experience as well. What more would you want?

17 May 2026 15:28:47
Huey, good post and it takes time to build a good team. It was highly unlikely this would happen in half a season.

17 May 2026 18:14:09
Huey, I think that Danny Rohl will be good for us, I think he was brought in because he was good enough to tipple too who was causing the unrest (leadership group), and he has now stamped his authority on the players (well, the ones that will be remaining).

I also recon he knows the player type he fancies to change our current outlook & get us back to a winning team, just my opinion.

17 May 2026 11:11:02
Talk on here regarding getting mcinnes in or anybody in, remember were looking for a head coach who's not fully in charge of transfers. I think that would rule out a lot of possible managers including meannes.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2026 11:36:49
Davie, Derek McInnes is currently the Hearts head coach and works under a similar situation to what Danny Rohl currently does at Rangers mate. 🤔

17 May 2026 11:37:39
Understand all this talk, buddy, but we currently have a head coach in place, if things were to change then time will tell who would be interested and available.

17 May 2026 12:58:04
Ahh Sir Walter, I never knew that.

17 May 2026 13:44:02
All the McInnes chat is hypothetical, as Cavanagh has stated that Rohl will be our Coach next season.
