I get loads of media outlets are saying deals are done.
Rohl away.
McInnes in.
But why the radio silence from the clubs?
None as far as I'm away have spoken on any of the deals.
RBS have never mentioned they are in dialogue with Rangers for Rohl.
Rangers have never rebutted RBS or said they are in dialogue with Hearts.
Hearts have never said they have knocked back Rangers approach or that they don't want to lose McInnes.
Must be the quietest managerial merry go round in football history.
I'm not disagreeing it's happening as there is too much smoke to be no fire.
Just very strange having no official word.
More so from Hearts who are losing a manager that ran Celtic close for the title.

Totally agree, MPH.
15 Jun 2026 09:23:22
Mr Ph, do u honestly believe Rangers should conduct our business on the radio?
15 Jun 2026 10:09:49
MPH, come on now, they don't have time to talk to the radio as they are so busy holding meetings with all the posters on here. 😉
15 Jun 2026 11:43:57
Seems they are conducting it at charity golf events so why not the radio as well.

@ Slim
Slim - not sure if you answered my last question to you or not mate
Sorry if you did
But what makes you so certain Lewis Ferguson isn't coming and going against other rumours - you seem quite certain this isn't happening
Do you know him or a family member etc
Sorry not having a go here Slim
I'm just curious if you can say anymore on why you think it won't happen just now.
If you can't say- that's fine bud 💙
Just thought I'd ask the question - when a couple of other good posters like yourself are saying it might be a possibility 👍.

I also believe he will not be coming, Stig.
1/ Price.
2/ His agent and himself are saying all the right things in public about Rangers (that was a rumour I posted before).
3/ Nobody in this day and age is leaving a top 5 league to come to Scotland. Not when he is highly rated in Italy.
15 Jun 2026 09:13:07
I've said before, I do not believe Ferguson will leave Italy for Rangers, the English Premiership, maybe.
15 Jun 2026 08:33:02
Stig I know his name is being bandied about and is tipped to come, but is there credible links that we are looking at him, or is it wishful thinking like some of the names getting mentioned.👍
15 Jun 2026 10:00:33
Dear Slim,
I wrote you three letters back in autumn. You must not have got 'em; sometimes I write the letters too sloppy when I jot'em. Anyway, man, let me know about Lewis Ferguson.
Your biggest fan.
This is Stan.
15 Jun 2026 10:15:37
Ibrox. 😂😂
15 Jun 2026 10:26:13
Super Ibrox for me.
The Stig, I don't think he will come either.
15 Jun 2026 10:33:29
Lewis Ferguson is a very clever, grounded, family man. He will be a Rangers player but probably not for 3 or 4 years as his stock is high. I would love him to come home. If it wasn't for him, Haiti might have taken something. He broke up everything. Del MacInnes might be the piece of the jigsaw that gets him home.
15 Jun 2026 10:41:57
"My tea's gone cold I'm wondering why? 👍🤣 gd stuff, Ibrox." 😉
15 Jun 2026 11:27:15
Haha, brilliant Ibrox.
15 Jun 2026 05:22:42
Not posted much guys so relatively new but I'd just like to welcome mcinness to the famous Glasgow Rangers as I 100% believe we need a manager that loves and knows what it means to be Glasgow Rangers and there's no better man than mcinness so welcome Derek and I want to see shankland as captain as he's a natural leader but I'd also go in for braga from Hearts to as the guy is class so give me your though guys cheers.

Couple friends who are big Hearts fans.
Say Braga dropped away near end of season, and think he could have done & offered better.
Also said they wouldn't mind getting good money for him and letting him leave as he might not be as good this season for them.
Which surprised me.
15 Jun 2026 08:37:55
Not sure why it's a surprise tbf, Stiggy, as his numbers from the Norwegian 3rd and 2nd divisions weren't that great and seems a bit like lightning in a bottle when Hearts had great form and nobody knew his game, but since then he fell off massively.
For the fees I see quoted I'd be aiming for much better quality than him.
15 Jun 2026 09:04:19
I welcome our new head coach Derek McInnes to Rangers, and he absolutely knows this club better than any other. 👍 Both McInnes and Shankland have come full circle to the club they love, practically at the same time. 👍
McInnes always wanted to be Rangers manager, and it's taken years for it to happen, and although now in his mid 50's, it's happened at last for him.
👍 🇬🇧 Same with Shankland, all his playing years wanting to get to Rangers, and again, happens years on in his career when he's about to turn 31 years old, but he's here. 👍 🇬🇧 Both will give absolutely everything they've got to Rangers, as both are 'Rangers to the core'. 🥊 I wish both all the very best at the famous. 👍 🇬🇧
15 Jun 2026 09:22:42
Shouldn't we wait until Rangers officially announce this? I am supportive of the move, but am cautious, as we have seen this scenario before. All the media comments are mixed, and, as I said, I will wait for Rangers to say officially.
15 Jun 2026 10:26:52
I don't want Braga if I am honest.
14 Jun 2026 23:23:10
First time poster here (long time reader). I'm really pleased to see McInnes appointed as manager. While Rohl presented himself well, for me his lack of tactical progress meant he'd ultimately lost the fans. Or was going to.
We desperately need an experienced figurehead, and since this job is the absolute pinnacle for McInnes (as mentioned by another poster), there's very little risk of him being headhunted. Prying him away from Hearts in such a strong position shows real ambition from the board, and I'm confident he has assurances he will be fully backed for success.

Welcome to the mad house, mate.
15 Jun 2026 09:29:38
Playing devil's advocate here, what has McInnes done that Rohl didn't? In fact, I could argue that, as Rohl managed to claw back so many points on Hearts with a team that weren't properly conditioned, that Rohl out performed McInnes on most aspects. Indeed, where were McInnes' tactical strengths on the final last few games when he blew the league?
15 Jun 2026 09:24:19
Geesadodothat, fair point. But like Clement, Rohl got a new manager bounce, which is always doable at Rangers with Ibrox and our resources, especially with no real league pressure at the time. Towards the end of the season, the tactical improvement just wasn't there defensively or in attack, and we looked like we'd never score.
We'll never know what a full pre-season under Rohl would have looked like. However, we've cracked multiple times at the business end of the season recently. Right now, imo, we need proven experience over another philosophy manager. Time will tell, but the timing feels right to me.
15 Jun 2026 09:26:03
Geesa, maybe he wasn't given the league like another manager, again, I feel the Motherwell result was the biggest sting in the tail for Hearts.
15 Jun 2026 10:18:52
Whilst I am delighted if McInnes is in, I don't quite think he will be the Mesiah so many are assuming. Folk think he will do better with a superior squad . . . The same squad that finished 3rd behind the team McInnes put together & the same superior squad that didn't win a trophy. I think McInnes will need time to get the squad balanced out & we don't have the best track record of giving gaffers time, do we? 🤷🏻♂️.
In saying that, I am excited to see what he can do & now were settled & backed financially, this is obviously a better time for him to do a job than when he was offered it before as we were a mess back then. I will back him & the team 100%, but this next season will rely on recruitment & how quickly they can gel together.
14 Jun 2026 21:51:24
This was a game I expected to be decent and it's been drool.
Hopefully the second half will be a bit more inspiring.

Nice One, Laudrup.
14 Jun 2026 21:38:17
Anyone know the type of player our new manager will look/go for to take us forward. I'm 100% over the moon McInnes has come home. Long over due in my opinion. In hindsight he should have been approached and came home last year.

14 Jun 2026 21:48:29
He said he believes the team should have a Scottish core and that a player has to be over the moon about playing for the club (that was his philosophy at Hearts).
14 Jun 2026 22:05:47
Oh goodie, let's fill the team with Scottish players with a Scottish manager and we can play like the current Scotland team, boring.
The only player I would currently take from the current Scotland squad is Scott McTominay which we've no chance of affording.
I will give McInnes and the team my utmost support, but let's buy the best players that we can afford no matter where they're from.
14 Jun 2026 22:35:55
Take your point, sco11, but being Scottish doesn't make them boring either. That's totally down to Steve Clarke.
14 Jun 2026 22:58:32
Many might disagree, but TBH, at this moment in time, Scotland clearly have better players than Rangers.
14 Jun 2026 23:33:45
Team and Manager with a Scottish core. Did that chat not cause bother on her a couple of months back. 🫣🤪🤪🤪🤪
15 Jun 2026 00:07:17
Good wans.
15 Jun 2026 01:43:58
Sco, so you wouldn't take Gilmour, Ferguson, Doak or even McGinn from the Scottish team, Hickey? Also, I know we can't afford them, but to just say McTominay is utter bs.
15 Jun 2026 02:31:45
Sco, Scottish core doesn't mean that the whole team is Scottish. It means that there's a handful of players that will set the culture for the squad.
15 Jun 2026 06:26:27
Sco11, there's absolutely talented players that's Scottish, my friend. 🤔 For instance, how many of them now are signed by Italian teams? 🤔 There's no one saying we should sign all Scottish players, but for me we should have a spine to Rangers that knows the expectations of our club, will run through brick walls for our club no matter what, can play in our league, and be role models for talented players from different countries who it will rub off on.
🤔 We should have a core of players who know the expectations and blend the team with other talented players, because there's a few players that's Scottish and also players that are currently playing in our league who imo would improve our team, simple as that. 🤔 🇬🇧
15 Jun 2026 06:57:22
9 Coops, don't think that's any great pointer tbh. They may be doing it there, but as we all know it sometimes doesn't work in our league. Different style of football imo.
Scott McTominay (Napoli) - Serie A
Billy Gilmour (Napoli) - Serie A
Lewis Ferguson (Bologna) - Serie A
Che Adams (Torino) - Serie A
Josh Doig (Sassuolo) - Serie A
Lennon Miller (Udinese) - Serie A
Kieron Bowie (Hellas Verona) - Serie A
Liam Henderson (Sampdoria) - Serie B.
15 Jun 2026 07:41:35
Whenever we say we need a Scottish core, folk say that about filling the whole team. I honestly wonder if some people know what a core or a spine is.
15 Jun 2026 09:21:58
The Scottish core that are good enough for Rangers we can't afford, and I don't want sub standard signings just because they're Scottish.
Sco, even though he put his point across poorly, is still right. We sign players that are good enough no matter where they're from!
15 Jun 2026 09:33:39
Sco11, Gannon Doak is more productive than any winger we have. One player I would love Derek to go for when appointed is Kazaridis.
15 Jun 2026 12:34:03
I don't know so much about Scottish, but what we do need is a goalkeeper and defence that don't gift goals. All successful Rangers teams I've seen over the years have had a solid defensive base to the team.
14 Jun 2026 19:10:07
These wee 3 min liquid breaks in each half are annoying.
They are always breaking up a teams momentum in the ascendancy, giving an advantage to the other team.
Give the players a few pound coins and have vending machines placed around the pitch instead.

And solely used to sell advertising during the half. The ref couldn't restart the game the other night when he wanted to as the advertisement was still running on TV. Shambles.
14 Jun 2026 21:09:52
Trying to get football into quarters for advertising.
Absolutely hate FIFA.
14 Jun 2026 21:27:10
Heading towards nutcase Wenger's idea of the game being reduced to 60mins of 4 x 15 minute quarters.
14 Jun 2026 21:33:14
Zikos, that is exactly what it is now a game of 4 quarters. Don't be surprised to see the 3 minute breaks become 5 minutes as we move into the knock out stages and the temperatures rise higher.
14 Jun 2026 21:35:16
God, I hope not!
14 Jun 2026 22:00:49
If water breaks are needed, the coaches should be nowhere near the teams. Plenty of subs can carry water bottles to a designated part of the pitch in the half you are defending.
15 Jun 2026 07:53:34
Instead of water / advert breaks, turn the sprinklers on every 20 mins. Aye? I have other ideas, incl the use of trained chimps or labrador retreivers. American socca fans would love it.
15 Jun 2026 18:02:14
Is there a Maternity Unit beside the pitch with all these water breaks.
