Reading, not sure how accurate, that Motherwell looking for around £3m for Maswanhise. This is surely a no brainer for us. He has scored more that Asagaard, Chermiti, Gssama and Miovski combined this season, which in itself tells you a story.

Look at what McIness has done at hearts. Got a bunch of not very prominent players into title challengers. when he was touted as a gers manager everyone, me included, said no way. Now I'm not so sure.
02 Feb 2026 10:53:00
Probably double that at moment or even more as last day in window.
02 Feb 2026 10:59:17
In terms of signings fair to say becoming squeaky bum time frustrating Rostock not releasing player till summer, and archer now looking less likely am sure DR and directors doing what they can and we all would love to see a striker in but not just any striker .
Unfortunately we cannot force a club to sell, some players simply do not want to come (either to us or the SPFL), and others we want may not actually be on management radar DR said this is a tough window for getting the 'right' players in and so it's proving at the end of the day DR will need to work with the cards he's been dealt and we need to trust/hope he has enough to get us over the line.
.
For me glass half full, faith in DR and Directors and got to believe in the players
02 Feb 2026 10:23:41
Cambigger being reported we have re ignited our interest.
02 Feb 2026 10:34:31
If Motherwell are willing to sell and are only wanting £3M for the league top scorer then I will go and buy 20 hats and eat every one of them.
02 Feb 2026 13:02:19
think I am now safe from my foolhardy comment above. Motherwell now announced they aren't selling. (phew)
02 Feb 2026 09:05:16
ASO is not what I expected, granted only his second game for the club and is getting used to tactics and team mates etc. I did expect him to be able to beat a man however.

He's never been that type of winger. He's not like Kent or Gassama that can go by guys for fun. He's a numbers winger he will score and assist when put into good positions. He doesn't look sharp but let's be honest we haven't played well as a team in both games he's played and anytime he gets the ball he's got nobody around him to help him and got two men on him.
02 Feb 2026 10:19:41
I think our team need to adapt to player like him. We really need to be getting the ball to him quicker and stop waiting until he is double marked where his only real option is to recycle.
02 Feb 2026 10:33:16
He's only played just over 100 minutes for Rangers Cletus, just remember the same happening with Cerny mate.
02 Feb 2026 10:36:46
Saw somebody gave stats, chances goals against Hibs made it look dire reading etc. How good, bad, indifferent don't know but seems we could've scored ONE.
02 Feb 2026 13:00:11
Gotta gee new signings time what a was disappointed in yesterday was our crosses into the box got into a lot off good positions but most crosses were low n hard way a 6ft plus striker m a 6ft 5 defender surely lofted crosses would have been better👍👍👍👍.
02 Feb 2026 09:04:20
I know it's early but my team for Kilmarnock would be.
Butland
Sterling
Soutar
Fernandez
Meghoma
Antman
Raskin
Diomande
Skov Olson
Gassama
Chermiti.

02 Feb 2026 10:02:39
Sorry Aphe, I think there's too much pressure to play Antman against Killie. Maybe he can get more involvement against Queen's Park?
02 Feb 2026 10:10:06
Chermiti is awful.
02 Feb 2026 10:41:07
IMO we should play all out attack at Ibrox against teams like Killie. Moore would be in the 10 for me and I'd play Tav at RB. I'd bring Chukwani and Sterling both back in for the hard away games and Hearts at home.
I'd like to see your Antman shout at one point but I wouldn't be starting him there. Maybe try it in the Scottish cup?
02 Feb 2026 11:05:54
Chuckuwani for Antman i'd say. With the new striker instead off Chermiti
Also I think Antman Rommens Olosen will all start in cup tie on Sunday.
02 Feb 2026 11:42:42
Wishy to be honest it's not exactly an experiment.
It is where he played in Denmark which got him his move to Holland.
02 Feb 2026 12:08:27
I didn't know that mate fair play.
02 Feb 2026 12:37:51
What new striker instead of Chermiti John 🤔.
02 Feb 2026 13:28:09
Chermiti 7 games without goal should be dropped how can you justify to Miovski not getting a start.
02 Feb 2026 08:56:15
Transfer deadline day. The day of the season supporters love but the eds hate it, their fingers are gona be on fire today typing to try keep up. Shout out to the eds.

Archer now looking unlikely, we got to move for naderi now or have an effective backup.
02 Feb 2026 13:29:37
There is plenty of forwards out there not every signing or loan needs to be a 22-24 year old think this is the big problem.
02 Feb 2026 08:18:44
Couple of things need to change before Killie midweek.
Aasgard dropped, he's had enough chances for me. His goals promised a bit of form and I for one was hoping we'd see him turn the corner but he's just a passenger most games.
Souttar being our most creative player. Building from the back is important but someone from our midfield should be taking the ball off him. His distribution is hit and miss and when we ran out of ideas he was starting every move only to advance too far forward and leave us exposed, the wee ball over the top kills us almost every time.
Gassama needs to do more he isn't stretching the game or getting us up the park. Couple of step overs and falling over doesn't cut it. Skov Olsen gets a pass for now but he needs to take his man on and going forward i'm sure he will.
And I felt we needed Dios industry and ball retention and we are a better team when he's in alongside Raskin. Chucky was understandabley out his depth and I felt giving him a full debut against them was a mistake. Would've liked to see him on in the 60th minute and slowly bed him in.
Moore should start every game for me because at least going forward when he plays he does far more than Gassama, Aasgaard for example. And looks the only player we have that's willing to run at the opponents backline. Or into space in behind.
Something doesn't work. Particularly going forward and its down to Rohl to get goals outta this team. Is it as obvious as playing Strikers that don't score? Or would it even matter if we had a 20 goals striker? If we don't create.
Anyways rant over 🤪 let's hope it was just a bad performance stemming from a Euro hangover. But I feel our troubles run deeper and past results painted over the cracks.
Just hope we don't blow it like previous years, and let a real opportunity slip as we will never have a better option to win a league than this year. I'm worried that we revert to type and suffer the good old after Christmas collapse 😒.

Arcade it was just a bad performance and coming off the back of Europe where we got beaten as well makes it harsher especially as we were putting a run of wins together. look at recent results in the league and people will see that. we say most goals are form set pieces but in last 4 games we have scored 10 goals with 2 penalties and 3 set pieces so we do score goals from open play (at similar rates to other teams).
yes Aasgaard who had been playing well needs to give more in these tight games. I agree about Dio and like him in beside Raskin. He is more progressive than Tochi as well currently so gets us forward.
It would be great if our strikers scored more but they don't get chances. now that might eb down to the runs they make but I don't see many balls into the box which they might have got on end of.
the good news was defensively we were decent enough to keep Hibs out. yes they had chances but game is all about goals. and we almost nicked a win but for a couple of inches offside.
I am putting it down to a bad day at the office due to Euro tiredness. just shows we still don't have the squad to make changes and perform the same.
02 Feb 2026 08:50:32
I think Rohl is telling them what he wants and they start the game doing it but revert to type after the other side gets the slightest bit of joy in an attack.
02 Feb 2026 08:55:30
Rangers are a team that cannot attack. James Tavernier needs to start for me. He drives us up the pitch, he gets quality crosses into the opposition box, he can score (he is our top scorer), excellent delivery from a set-piece, etc). We don't play teams of Porto's quality in the SPFL. We do more attacking than we do defending. Sterling offers nothing going forward. We miss Tavernier when he doesn't play.
Diomande is also creative and can get a goal. We missed Diomande and Tavernier yesterday. We desperately need Skov Olson to come good because he looks nowhere near match fit or confident at the moment. Maybe Antman is fit enough to have another shot out on that side, but something needs to change up top.
Miovski is an empty jersey and Chermiti is never a goal scorer. We need another forrward brought in right away.
02 Feb 2026 08:58:03
Don't think Chukwuani looked out of his depth yesterday made plenty of defensive contributions.
His full debut was also against Dundee the week previous.
02 Feb 2026 08:58:23
Agreed. People say we don't create enough and that's why our strikers are the worst ever. Well in 2024/2025, Dessers was the highest scorer whilst also being the highest in goal assists. That means he made his own chances and helped others to score as well. Tavernier, Diomande and Raskin were also in the top 5 for assists. We still have the top assist players here, so blaming them for strikers who don't score isn't true. If chances are not being scored, it's because the strikers are garbage. Everton must have been rubbish at assisting Chermiti to score for 2 years as well. They helped beto get 9 and ndiaye get 8 in youseffs last season but Chermiti somehow couldn't score in 22 games.
It was clear to see v Hibs that without a goalscorer, the league is gone. Danny has done well so far and judging the boy on what he has done so far is easy. He's done well. If he had started the season, we might be miles ahead on points, but remember, Rohl has only been boss for a few months. Finishing second will be ok even though we all want to be 1st. The squad will be totally different at the start of next season. Tav will probably be gone. Raskin sold, Djiga, Meghoma, Moore, Aarons loans ended. Souttar may be captain. Olsen may be signed permanently. Chermiti hopefully gone and forgotten. Let's just see what happens in the next 14 games.
02 Feb 2026 09:05:39
I agree that mikey Moore is our best we have inside in that position and should be starting all our games there 🤔🇬🇧.
02 Feb 2026 09:10:07
Can't argue with that imo Gassama and Aasagard are giving far too much game time.
I'd have given Bajrami and Curtis a run of games before now and their numbers would have been better than both these guys imo.
Hoping today we sign a striker, goals win games.
02 Feb 2026 09:10:39
Great post Penny 👍.
02 Feb 2026 09:14:10
So many times yesterday we got in good positions out wide and there was absolutely no one in the box, or if there was they were surrounded by 2/3 defenders.
There's a few things I reckon we need:
More running from midfield into the box. don't car if we play chukwuani, Rasking, and dio, they should rotate who goes forward and gives the defence something to always consider.
The pace at which we build up play is quite slow, we need to be more decisive and quicker on the ball. And to help that.
We need far more movement from our midfielders when the defenders are on the ball. So many times yesterday our midfield weren't available for the pass from Souttar or Fernando's, but then when we go long, they are also not there to help collect 2nd balls. Meaning they are stuck in no man's land.
I agree that Moore starts every game for me, with Gassama coming of the bench. I'd go with Raskin, dio and chuck in the middle until Barron comes back and then let dio/chuck fight it out.
02 Feb 2026 09:34:03
Arcade i think part of the problem is our fans seem to think we should just turn up to win.
Hibs at Easter Road is never a given.
Hearts are sitting 6 clear at the top and they got beat on 27th December at Easter Road.
We were poor yesterday but long gone are the days when teams don't fight tooth and nail against teams above them.
Not a fan of Hibs but they deserved at least a point yesterday if not more.
02 Feb 2026 10:56:01
Yes fans think playing at Easter Rd should be an easy game after playing away on Thursday JFM.
02 Feb 2026 11:37:34
People need to stop making excuses for strikers that don't score.
02 Feb 2026 12:16:39
Oh for an Ian durrant.
02 Feb 2026 08:10:19
All this talk of a striker, bojan m can score we know he can the service he's had is shocking, it's a real 10 with imagination we need not a striker.

02 Feb 2026 08:52:02
All day long man…I dunno how guys can't see it….we have no midfielders that are hungry to get into the box…they all want to hover outside for the ball breaking….i dunno why because none of them can shoot.
02 Feb 2026 09:02:29
Miovski has looked terrible all season. He can't drop deep, link play, press, run wide and drag defenders around, etc. He isn't suited to this club and I fully expect him to be sold in the summer.
Even players like Kris Boys were dropped against Celtic, in Europe, and didn't feature for Scotland. Poachers are like a man down when you are up against it. If we had more creativity from the wings then there might be a case for a poacher. But all three front players are doing nothing. Remove James Tavernier from the team as well and we have zero in attack - Nothing.
We can't continue with what we have or we will win nothing. Even a couple of last minute loans from EPL clubs might give us a chance at getting something going up top. But we need bodies in that can create and score goals. At can't remember the last time our attack was this bad.
02 Feb 2026 09:12:31
The service hasn't been great but his movement and to be brutally honest his whole attitude looks to be off for me.
Doesn't seem to be trying to nail down that shirt.
02 Feb 2026 09:25:17
Do we know he can score? Half his Aberdeen goals were pens he wasn't that great at aberdeen.
02 Feb 2026 09:50:02
100% if our strikers Danilo, Bojan and Chermiti had good service they would score, Gassama too greedy, Aasgaard to busy looking for a mirror, Skov Olsen isn't going to create much we need that driving cm/cam that has the hunger for a goal or two.
02 Feb 2026 10:47:02
Paul he scored 12 penalties whilst at Aberdeen out of the 44 goals he scored. that is 27%. so half is a bit of a stretch.
02 Feb 2026 10:36:10
Miovski score 44 goals for Aberdeen not even a quarter was penalties.
02 Feb 2026 10:36:36
35 weren't 9 was.
02 Feb 2026 11:38:57
Mivoski has only had 2 good season his entire career failed everywhere else.
02 Feb 2026 13:34:29
He shouldn't have to be dropping deep as often if midfielders and wingers were doing their job right for me they are not brave enough when Rohl said himself too many backwards or sidewards passes need to be brave and take men on hit byline something we don't do nearly enough.
02 Feb 2026 07:39:14
Let's hope fenerbache come back in with new bid for Chermiti(that's if they did actually make bid)
Then we can make bid to sign Haderi in this window as he seems to Rohls preferred option.
Is that not how trading model should work.
Alledly they have turned down 17+m for Engles so can expect them to get 20m.

02 Feb 2026 08:26:23
Hansa Rostock are not letting ryan naderi go this month Jasp, irrespective if fenerbache bid higher for Chermiti or not.
02 Feb 2026 08:39:23
Yes they will if fee is right, money talks.
02 Feb 2026 09:17:27
Dont believe a bid over 10 mill been made and of so we should have excepted because we are still looking for a striker.
02 Feb 2026 09:25:44
Fener did not bid for Chermiti.
02 Feb 2026 09:51:28
The Turks never made a bid £13 million for Chermiti is for the birds.
02 Feb 2026 12:19:23
If they are not letting Naderi go this window I would tell them no deal and walk away.
02 Feb 2026 13:36:09
I repeat, Naderi is 10th in his leagues scoring charts and people think he's gods gift before even played for us.
Shouldn't be that hard to be better than Chermiti though.
02 Feb 2026 07:33:40
Missed the last 30 mins yesterday but the score is no surprise and shouldn't be to anyone. Playing the way we do scraping victories is not sustainable. This has been coming for weeks. I have always said I don't think we will win the league but what Rohl has done is get us back in the title race. We have needed a creative midfielder for years this isn't new but we still have had a striker that scored over 50 goals last two seasons when we still struggled to create. I accept it's got worse this season. I still can't get away from our strikers are not goal-scorers and don't think they will ever score 25+ goals in a season.
I don't think we will win the league but that doesn't mean we won't. I have been wrong loads of times.
We need at least 2 players in today that will make a difference but I don't see that unfortunately.
Rohl needs to get his style of play sorted making us harder to get beat is fine but we need to make a lot more chances.
Butland was man of the match from what I seen once again his saves gave us a point. Some may say it's saves he expects to make but he still has to save them 👍
Any one ITK can you at least give some good news that they will be more than one in today ?

100 Strom. It's far too slow and predictable and that's why we've won a lot of tight games it's in general easy to defend. Skov Olsen is a good player but you need to get the ball to him and a few others much quicker especially after winning possession.
He will struggle in this side be labelled a dud and he's not. The handbrake needs to come off. It's needs to be much quicker.
02 Feb 2026 08:16:24
Fair post bud👍👍.
02 Feb 2026 08:35:29
Storm hope you are okay mate after the weekend.
I agree we haven't played the most attractive football but the scraping results isn't really true. in 10 of our 16 games under Rohl we have scored 2 or more goals. in 7 of those we have won by 2 or more goals. in 4 of the last 5 games we have scored 2 or more goals; the exception being the draw on Sunday.
so as always we let a bad result overtake all thoughts. are our strikers scoring but as a team we are regularly. oh and we also score 55% of our goals from open play which is around the same as the others (before someone says we only score from set pieces 😉)
02 Feb 2026 09:06:46
Skov Olsen looks miles off it. He hasn't played consistent football in months. It hasn't nothing to do with how quick you get the ball to him.
02 Feb 2026 09:29:30
Good post mate.
02 Feb 2026 09:39:45
Hard to disagree with any of that. I thought Butland, Souttar and Big Manny were excellent yesterday (bar a few missed places passes) and if it wasn't for them, Hibs would have taken a few goals off us. Yesterday was a very poor performance, but it has been coming as we've been scraping wins and getting most of our goals from set pieces, which isn't sustainable. Even our set pieces yesterday were poor.
Our general play is far too slow and predictable and our chance creation from open play is far too low. I don't think all is lost though and I can still see all 3 teams at the top dropping points. We badly need 2 quality starters signed today that can help create chances and take them, though or unfortunately I suspect we'll see more performances like yesterday.
02 Feb 2026 09:52:15
I think taking into how we played yesterday, that it may result in us scraping wins if that continues in the run in.
02 Feb 2026 11:41:20
Angus we scraped a win against Dundee last week but scored 2 late goals mate. If you see something different that's fine but we are scraping wins week in week out with this team. And thanks mate.
02 Feb 2026 13:37:06
Storm, i totally agree it's also only a matter of time before teams get a bit of luck and score against us first then we will be in real trouble.
02 Feb 2026 07:21:29

02 Feb 2026 08:11:14
Not a chance.
02 Feb 2026 08:22:49
We should be if Raskin gets in the Belgian side…that's not a given on form.
02 Feb 2026 08:36:28
OWS difference is they see to have someone wanting to buy. we can ask what we want but if someone doesn't want to buy or pay that then we will be left with him. same happened with Morelos in the past.
02 Feb 2026 09:02:49
Why cmac. Raskin keeps engils out of the national team yet his club knock back 17m. So why shouldn't we look for 20m?
02 Feb 2026 09:53:03
You'd need to ask why we've received no bids for Raskin to my knowledge. Not 1.
