Can u imagine us ever bringing on a 16yr old, especially in a high pressure game when your not winning? Well done to Max Dowman at Arsenal. What a moment for him.

15 Mar 2026 08:39:12
Maybe because our 16 year old would get boooed for the first misplaced pass. 🤣🤣🤣
15 Mar 2026 08:44:24
The skill and composure the young man showed when running through beating two men was great, well done, Son.
15 Mar 2026 08:52:24
They need to be ready. Barry Ferguson bossed a midfield full of top players at 17. Our best now are usually gone at 16 to boost EPL B teams, and hopefully make those clubs some money. It's also easier to come into a team full of top players. At the moment, we have too many still trying to establish themselves or playing for themselves.
And let's not forget that we actually do have a young team. But I agree, it seems strange that across Europe young players get a chance in top teams, but we don't have anyone good enough at that age to take on the likes of Livingston.
15 Mar 2026 09:20:37
With us it'd be only come on if we're 3 up. Give him another 6yrs and don't expect too much. He's only 22. 😂
You're probably right, Baz, but maybe because it's that rare they get a run in the team, I don't think that's actually the case. It's more the expensive signings that get the stick. People want Curtis to play, but don't recall him getting much stick, or even when Rice and Nsio got a few games, or the brief moments with Lovelace or others who've had cameos, even going back to Patterson.
I think fans would get behind them more than they get credit for, unlike the quick judgement on signings.
15 Mar 2026 09:33:38
Kaiser, I think they need to play in games where we are struggling, as that gives them the experience needed. Bringing them on when we are 4-0 up means they never get a game (😉) at all. They will get a chance from fans, but look at McCausland and the stick he got in his second season; he became scared to do what was successful in the first season by running at players, or so it seemed.
I hope, if we start winning things, fans might calm down a little and youth can get a chance.
Bit picky, but I feel I should point out that Barry Ferguson made his Rangers debut at 19, so he wasn't bossing a midfield full of top players at 17.
15 Mar 2026 09:36:54
It was a special goal from Dowman. Looks like he is already a top player at 16. Maybe get him on loan next season. 😂
15 Mar 2026 10:24:23
Aye, Barry Ferguson 17. DJ 16 Old Firm Cup final. They need to be ready, agreed, but this forum has long indicated that 21, even 22, is still young. It's like saying you're middle aged at 60. Again, another crappy thing about modern football.
15 Mar 2026 11:34:06
Seem to recall a certain 15 year old getting games for one of the world's biggest clubs, where they are expected to win every game and was trying to fill a position that had been a problem since a certain Lionel Messi left.
15 Mar 2026 06:10:57
Anyone see Kilmarnock goal from last night. Cracking, well worked goal. Well done to wee McCann. Talking to a Killie fan yesterday and they seem pleased with what he is doing so far. They have a shot of getting out of that playoff position.

U made me go look for that? Good result for them, but goal was hardly worth checking out. 😜😂

Massive match for us tomorrow.
Opportunity to get back within 3 points from top of the league.
League's far from over.

Almost back in our own hands, big ask, but get to split 3 behind & it all to play for, so let's put on performance tomorrow & don't blow another chance.
15 Mar 2026 00:19:19
Here's hoping, guys. It's such a twisty turny season. We could be level with Hearts next weekend, with 7 games to go, or we could be 9 points behind them. I know a few have criticised the draws, but, big picture wise, we're in a great position, and some of these points gained might just win us the league.
15 Mar 2026 07:01:00
Today will show if we have the real mental fortitude for a title fight. It's over to you, Danny, and, most importantly, the 11 that get chosen, to show that we can grind out a result when it matters most and don't fold like a pack of cards. 🙏 This could be our season and our time if we really want and desire it.
15 Mar 2026 08:28:36
We need to run. We need to put the other defence under pressure. We need to get wide, and deliver into the box. We need to have runners into the box to follow up on shots and pounce on mistakes. We need to pressure the ref. We need to claim every ball that goes out of play.
Whatever 11 plays will be better than St Mirren's 11. So, if we match them in attitude, that little bit of extra quality should see us win. We must take Luck out of the equation. We know that is reserved for them across the city.
15 Mar 2026 08:36:41
Remember St Mirren are fighting relegation and are a wounded animal.
14 Mar 2026 18:16:59
Ed why are my posts being held, that's a few times today;cheers.
{Ed001's Note - were they ones that mentioned Ed in them? If so they are held for an Ed.}

14 Mar 2026 21:23:47
Bear with him Ed I think it's old age.🥴😂
{Ed001's Note - I hear when he was a child caves were still the dwelling of choice.}
15 Mar 2026 07:59:10
Right that's it, bring back Ed 033 or Ed 078, and Flb👀 card marked 😉👍😄

Fork were you fishing and just missed them 🙈
15 Mar 2026 11:19:17
Nah but they got me to bite, the sods. 😉🤣👍
14 Mar 2026 17:00:50
another MUST win tomorrow as they showed why they win league after league title earlier. Will it be a case of, unlucky danny, you gave it your best shot. a trophyless season will be hard to digest imo especially after the coin we spent.

14 Mar 2026 18:22:13
Deecee, I think our players melt once the heat is on. Hope they go out and blow St. Mirren away, and you're right, the other mob get the job done when it matters most.
14 Mar 2026 20:10:56
It wasn't the coin that he spent.
14 Mar 2026 21:39:50
Not out of it, but tough when they are getting all help possible.
14 Mar 2026 22:13:21
Well, can we now win 9 games to finish season? If we can, looking quickly at it, it will be down to goal difference. Then again, will any team win all remaining games?
14 Mar 2026 22:38:59
If we win tomorrow we have a fantastic opportunity to go on and win the league.
We have to get behind the team, get Ibrox rockin.
14 Mar 2026 22:44:44
Absolutely, MG. So much doom and gloom, even though the season was over in October, yet we are in a 3-way title race in March!
15 Mar 2026 08:27:47
Bizzmy, your post hits the nail on the head. All of the Danny kickers stop now and give the man the credit he deserves for getting us to this position. Come on The Gers, go and bury SM today, and don't be fooled by the No Manager tag.
15 Mar 2026 09:36:50
Bizz, we are back in it this week, though. Next week, if we draw, we will be out of it again. Then someone else will lose or draw, and we will be back in it. 🙈
14 Mar 2026 16:35:18
Now looking very likely we will be 4 behind the other mob and 9 Hearts by the time we play. i'd love us to be aggressive ftom minute 1 and win the game as early as poss but I have a horrible feeling our players will struggle with the pressure

Celtic struggling today, so Beaton gets Motherwell player off and gives them a pen. Standard.
14 Mar 2026 19:22:07
He blew for a bye kick initially. Then Clancy intervened. Teamwork as usual. I knew as soon as Beaton was the ref he would give a penalty. Daida was on the way down to head a low ball when the player helped him on his way. Tough call, but not a red, which killed the game. Job done by Clancy and Beaton as per usual.
14 Mar 2026 19:24:28
This the same Beaton they claim is in the Masons and always against them.
14 Mar 2026 19:30:18
Doesn't make him a good ref. The sending off was a kick in the Steelmen's chops.
14 Mar 2026 19:30:58
So which is it, Deecee, as you said "they showed why they win league after league". Then you say about "Clancy and Beaton", so is it Celtic or is it the "Bacofoil boys" that won that game?
14 Mar 2026 19:32:52
Correct Ryan, all refs in Scotland have either Father or Brother in front of their names, depending on which team is playing.
14 Mar 2026 19:36:50
Paul, Beaton is a complete coward, totally lacking in moral fibre. In his youth he probably was a Ranger's fan. He knows the Tim's know this, so he always makes sure he gives borderline decisions in their favour.
He is totally aware what they say about him being one of us etc, etc. So he forgets the rule book and gives them everything to appease them, rather than being brave and be 100% fair in the face of their terror campaign against him.
He should not be refereeing either OF team.
14 Mar 2026 19:44:53
Penalty all day long and sending off all day long. Goal scoring opportunity.
14 Mar 2026 20:05:35
Once a Ranger, the money he has spent on new panes of glass these last few years, who can blame him?
14 Mar 2026 21:41:51
Told everyone before. Beaton not a Rangers fan. Last 6 vs them is like 4 draws, 2 Celtic wins. Gave them pens and bad decisions against us.
14 Mar 2026 21:56:38
If anyone thinks that's not a red card and a pen, then you need to stop watching football.
14 Mar 2026 21:57:26
Bleedblue, you can tell people that all you like. I know for 100% certain he was a Rangers fan growing up.
14 Mar 2026 22:01:45
Correct Fraser. Beaton must be rightly terrified when he considers what will happen to him or his family if he doesn't comply.
15 Mar 2026 06:47:09
Storm is spot on, Bleedblue. Beaton was a boyhood Rangers supporter, and most know this. 🤔
15 Mar 2026 08:10:38
The good news is the referee is able to forget his allegiances and make the right decision of penalty and red card for a team he doesn't support. Pity that too many fans can't see it being an obvious penalty and red card because of those allegiances.

Okay lads I have been checking in periodically as IRL life has been busy for me lately but I keep seeing posts about give Rohl time and let him buy his players etc now I agree he needs time and a couple of windows but.
Were we not told on here by a fair few of the ITK guys that our model had shifted from buying for a specific manager to buying for the club, as we had a clear direction of what style we wanted and would stop with the rebuilds constantly over time.
Now if this is the case, why would we allow Rohl to sign his style of player? As so far I can't actually tell what style he wants and if he proves not to be of the required quality. Are we going to start all over again with another manager who might not want some of the players Rohl wanted.
For me we really need to get our football operations in order over the course of the summer and get someone in with a vision and start getting this implemented or we are just doomed to repeat the previous regimes mistakes.
Just my take on what I have seen mentioned on here recently. Would like to hear others' opinions on what I've said.

14 Mar 2026 12:20:09
Such is life, Jim. Don't think I've spoken to a single person recently that's not absolutely stacked, but glad to hear you're keeping well.
I don't personally believe Danny has brought in his own style of player. I think we're targeting the type of profiles that should work in most systems: tall, powerful centre forwards, robust midfielders & big centre halves.
The game seems to be returning to some form of pre-possession based football, and we appear to be keeping to the times with that.
All we need is a 4-4-2 and my fellow Rangers Das will be over the moon!
14 Mar 2026 12:41:07
I agree with Forza. Cavanagh isn't stupid. He's a guy who has worked out what type of player works in Scotland. Big physical types. That's the way we will go in the future.
14 Mar 2026 12:49:27
I too agree with Forza, but would add I think it would have been the same with Martin if he had been a success. We needed an almost total rebuild from the end of last season, especially with those we sold or lost to OOC.
I also don't think we can build a team or squad in just one or two windows who will bring long-term continuous success to the club.
14 Mar 2026 13:11:57
So here's the thing with that. Celtic don't have many big, physical types and have been plenty successful, and we are lucky with their injuries and Nancy appointment. My main issue is that it's okay us bringing these types in to win in Scotland, but we need more than that to be successful in Europe, and ultimately that's where the majority of our income will come from (player sales too ofc).
I'm in no way hating on players we have brought in, but we need some creative talent bringing in too and not just big, physical types.
Forza, that's an interesting take, bud. I'd actually argue against that, as we can see from Hearts and Motherwell this season, who we would usually describe as anti possession. They are actually now trying to play football, so interesting times ahead, hopefully, for Scottish football in general.
My main point is that it seems we have moved away from a club DNA and gone back to what the current manager wants. Guess it's all conjecture, really, and we will see what happens over the summer.
14 Mar 2026 13:56:44
Blue. It's something I mentioned a few times. Only managers that fit our playing ethos and player trading model will be employed. I'm not throwing stones, but mistakes were made at the beginning of the season after another takeover.
🤷🏼 So, I take it Danny was employed on meeting both criteria. 🤷🏼 Personally, I think the new owners will have their own plans which will include Danny.
14 Mar 2026 14:15:14
Bbj, I think we will have a balance of those bigger players, but they do need to be technical as well. I think Rohl identified that was missing from the DNA the club want to have in place. So, the manager will have some input into what they think is missing from that DNA, perhaps, but there will be someone above them making the decisions and agreeing on it.
I think our more physical players will help us thrive in Scotland, but will be technical enough that the extra space they get will allow them to play in Europe as well. It isn't finished yet, and some of the creativity we have isn't performing at peak (or anywhere near it at times).
I think we need to see how this team + additions fare next season after a full pre-season with the manager. Until after the Hearts match on 15th February, Rohl had 3 games every 8 days. On Sunday coming, that will be just 4 weeks of just matches every Sunday. Even then, I don't expect miracles, as it will be tweaks rather than a huge redesign of systems and tactics; that will wait until pre-season, I think. Hearts game and Celtic league 1st half is what I would expect more of and more often when it happens.
14 Mar 2026 14:28:43
Bbj, it's about finding a good balance, pal. 🤔 Regarding Hearts and Motherwell, imo Motherwell play a much better style of football than Hearts, and are a better footballing team than Hearts. 🤔 However, as we all know, that doesn't mean they'll become more successful than Hearts or any other club for that matter. 🤔
14 Mar 2026 16:48:04
For all those saying they have to play Motherwell still.
Red card and pen.
Should anyone really be surprised the league is fixed? Even just look at coverage of shameful scenes at Ibrox, every media outlet running with Rangers yobs, no pics of Celtic fans that charged up to halfway, the damage, or of them breaking into the stadium, and even one of their chairman came out and said they were just over celebrating.
It is absolutely ridiculous how corrupt our league is.
14 Mar 2026 18:33:53
Forever, I was at the bowling club and they had the game on. It was a stonewall pen and a red card. So what are you on about, fixed? The decision was correct.
14 Mar 2026 19:56:25
Storm, you are straight in there on this particular incident at Parkhead today, and you will be right if you saw it live.
Are you also of the opinion that this season, and the last couple of seasons, both OF teams have been consistently referred to by the same standards?
I would like to hear your thoughts on this, as I know you are not shy about giving out your opinions on everything.
14 Mar 2026 20:47:24
I don't think that's got anything to do with you, Fraser. Just scroll past and don't comment, pal, if you don't like it, simples. 😲 I don't particularly like certain things either, but we can do posts whichever way we see fit within reason. As that's all you've got to comment on, pal, it says more about you, I'm afraid. 🤔
14 Mar 2026 22:04:29
Once a Ranger, what are you on about? Straight in on this particular incident. I am replying to forever comment as I seen the incident, and it's 100% the correct decision.
Refs are just poor, plain and simple.
