Are we looking to bring in a forward this month? Imho the forward line is the weakest we have and we should be prioritising a striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 15:01:16
No idea mate but RR said earlier that we were targeting a versatile attacker that can play either side, can't see a striker coming in unless we sell one of Miovski or Danilo.

07 Jan 2026 15:09:27
Unless we are able to move on a forward (likely Danilo) then I don't think so. We have 3 strikers all on good contracts. Someone (John I think) said that there was interest from Holland in Danilo, so you never know. Do you have anyone realistic in mind, OWS?

07 Jan 2026 15:10:46
I would love a no nonsense CH, an attacking midfielder and a striker.

07 Jan 2026 15:20:35
Not to my knowledge OWS. A LB, 6 and 10
I was told 🫡.

07 Jan 2026 15:26:22
I think if we can move Dani on then it could be something we do. But we cannot hold 4 first team strikers in our squad imo.

Like every window for about the last 5 seasons I want a wide player. I understand Antman is back training but like Dani we need to shift Matondo and get somone in his squad position who can contribute.

Easiest improvement for me is still left back. Lots of fans seem to like Meghoma but not for me at all. Only a wee boy so will not rip into him but he is average going forward and awful defensively imo.

07 Jan 2026 15:47:10
Onewalter, I agree.
A striker, RB and a LB would be my picks.

07 Jan 2026 15:53:39
I don't think we'll bring in a 9…but the words versatile forward were mentioned a lot pre window opening…suggests to me a windass/sima style forward that can play centrally or off a side if needed.

07 Jan 2026 16:18:14
Yes 100% but we do need to shift bodies.
Mainly those that do not contribute much.

07 Jan 2026 16:21:00
most other fans would say our defence is the main weakness.

07 Jan 2026 16:37:34
I doubt we will bring in a striker u less Danilo leaves.

Hopefully a winger however in terms of attacking players.

07 Jan 2026 16:05:06
Could Callum Wilson on laim do a job?

07 Jan 2026 16:54:35
Wide player that can play central.

07 Jan 2026 17:26:23
Der hammer I did, also interest now from Belgium.

07 Jan 2026 17:28:36
Can we please stop with this whole CF who can play out wide, maybe and just maybe we should focus signing people who play a natural position and a position we want to play instead of shoehorning players in! FGS man!

07 Jan 2026 17:46:22
Probably Stevie but would need to be a loan as we can't afford his wage.

07 Jan 2026 17:46:27
I'm the same mph that's my wish list.

07 Jan 2026 18:30:19
Der hammer i don't have anyone in mind but I. ll tell you I would seriously consider asking Hearts the question for Shankland. I think he's improved every season and his goals could be the diffrence.

07 Jan 2026 18:35:26
Bigbluejim but many players can play in the front three positions, I'd prefer a rw that can also play cf.

07 Jan 2026 19:49:36
Would prefer a rw and cf signed but squad size needs took into consideration, I'm talking about this window.

07 Jan 2026 22:54:47
A conpitent winger that can hit byline and cross still main target for me

We don't do it nearly enough.

07 Jan 2026 23:38:47
Storm, That's what I tried to spell but as usual I made a mess of text.

On loan. He's been told he's free to leave he's not in the plans at all.

A wee loan for him could help them sell him if we look at silva for example how he was loaned. Didn't work right away but same woth Djiga, Celtic woth Bellamy.

I don't think paying him £30k a week and £2m loan fee is far fetched. Imagine him spearheading out attack wef run amok.

07 Jan 2026 14:35:15
Only seen the 1st 30 mins at work last night but was happy when I heard 2-0 win missed 2nd goal
In those 30 mins they did split us open twice but the weren't very good at taken them. Did we perform well the rest of the game guys?

It's another clean sheet and another 3 points hopefully the same on sunday 👍.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 14:44:40
We controlled the game mate, I agree if Aberdeen had a good centre forward then perhaps it could have been a different score but I'm sure it would have been the same result.

07 Jan 2026 14:51:41
We played pretty well and was one of our better games. Our press and hunting the ball was excellent at times and we put Aberdeen under a lot of pressure. Likewise, some of our passing moves were really good, although they never came to anything. We also looked a real threat at every set piece.

I still felt we were a bit shaky at the back at times and we were cut open far too easily with simple passes. The Aberdeen strikers were poor and couldn't do anything with the chances, but on another day they scored a goal and the pressure would have been on. I think the game on Sunday will be a lot harder.

07 Jan 2026 15:02:15
Bit shaky at the back in first half but second half was complete dominance. Only criticism is we don't finish teams off but hopefully that will come the more confidence we get from winning.

07 Jan 2026 15:21:50
Improving every game storm and minimising the mistakes. I was really impressed with Raskin last night he played very well 🫡.

07 Jan 2026 15:28:17
Apart from those couple of chances we bossed it mate. Most comfortable performance we've seen in ages. Barron and Raskin ran the game. Shame u missed it because genuinely wee Barron was brilliant (apart from shooting). Think u could be changing your mind about him soon. 👍.

07 Jan 2026 15:31:55
Cheers guys.

07 Jan 2026 15:39:47
I thought we were cruising until the substitutions. They seem to be more detrimental to our play plus I never quite get the subs he makes.

07 Jan 2026 16:22:22
the first Dons chance was a complete flook of a pass and their forward bottled it (lucky for us)

second half was played with slippers on.

07 Jan 2026 17:05:48
Kasier he certainly has been putting in better performances.

07 Jan 2026 17:15:46
think Rohl took Moore off as he got a knock in OF game.
also suspect Souttar is still playing back to fitness as is Sterling so that makes sense as well to me.
Dio got a knock so he had to come off and others to freshen it up as I don't think our conditioning is 100% yet.

our bench was light so he had to make some changes which required players to move positions as well as he didn't have a direct replacement
I also wonder if he took Barron off in 87 minutes to give him the praise from the crowd his performance deserved.

07 Jan 2026 17:29:41
Maybe stop watching the darts hahah would put laughing faces here to show sarcasm but I'm on my PC so just know it's a joke :P.

07 Jan 2026 19:05:46
BbJ no darts i actually had to do a bit of work unfortunately 😥.

07 Jan 2026 19:34:29
Lambs to slaughter lol.

07 Jan 2026 22:56:51
Bit of a contradictory view to your response about my post on Barron storm

Showing your bias.

07 Jan 2026 13:53:10
What's everyone's thoughts on our 2 good midfielder's we signed from Aberdeen on freedom of contract our former midfielder ryan jack and our current midfielder connor Barron 🤔Who do we think is the better midfielder between jack V Barron 🤔.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 14:37:48
Atm jack.

07 Jan 2026 14:42:08
Jack for me. But Barron had the potential to be a better player than jack yes.

Said few weeks ago that in a year to 18 months time Barron could be better than Lewis Ferguson.

07 Jan 2026 14:51:38
Barron is going be better.

07 Jan 2026 14:53:56
Looking at that team Jimmy Thelin has built before being bagged, we won't be signing anyone else in the near future from Aberdeen? Aberdeen are absolute awful.

07 Jan 2026 15:02:17
Level up to Jack right now, but he'll get there very soon.

07 Jan 2026 15:02:56
Jack but Barron has more potential. Jack could have been a lot better but was plagued by injuries. Some of the EL and old firms Jack used to be our standing for SG.

07 Jan 2026 15:22:29
Connor Barron is going to be a very good player. Better than Jack 🫡.

07 Jan 2026 15:31:46
Loved Ryan Jack and if he hadn't had his injury issues he would still be at us. Connor is shaping up well and will get there.

07 Jan 2026 15:38:52
Jack probably better if not for injuries. Guy was class but think Barron has potential to overtake him if he keeps improving.

07 Jan 2026 15:48:23
Barron has better potential.
Jack was too injury prone.

07 Jan 2026 15:52:32
Jack for me.

Physically stronger and more composed in the ball. Rarely have the ball away.

Barron has more energy but isn't as efficient (yet). Jack also performed in winning sides, domestically and in Europe.

Barron as some way to go to get to that level imo, one thing he definitely has over Jack is his availability though.

07 Jan 2026 15:54:56
Jack way ahead but Barron is improving at a good rate under Rohl and long may it continue, needs to try and offer a little bit more in that final third when he gets opportunities.

07 Jan 2026 16:15:30
Barron probs played more minutes this season than jack managed most seasons he was here 😉😉😉.

07 Jan 2026 16:26:18
See if wee Barron can add some goals to his game he will be a terrific player, would love the wee man to get his 1st goal for Rangers.

07 Jan 2026 16:06:15
Yately I bet that comes back and bites ye that comment haha 👍🏻.

07 Jan 2026 17:24:50
StevieG, I can only call it as I see it and a team with the 3rd biggest budget in the league playing like that?

07 Jan 2026 17:50:43
Some weeks ago there was talk on the site of Barron potentially looking to move to Italy, now that he's getting a run of games and performing well do we know if this might still be the case?

07 Jan 2026 18:01:26
Worded that wrong, Barron has a level to go for Jack's level, but he won't be very long.

07 Jan 2026 18:09:51
correct Stevie; only need to look at us to see how a different manager can get the best out of players.

07 Jan 2026 18:46:54
Ryan Jack better player but wee Barron is improving every game.

07 Jan 2026 21:28:00
Ya telt where I came from is the young cb Milne is high chance of going to us or Celtic.

Also Aberdeen have a few wingers I like. Nordic connection ots possible. Not saying it will happen just saying they athings do come back to us bro 👍🏻.

07 Jan 2026 23:43:02
I think jack eas the better player, but Barron will get there, I also noticed last night Barron had a shot that came off an Aberdeen
Player, the shot looked like a really well struck shot&it was hit with venom, fair fog but unlucky for him it hit the player of I think we might have seen Barron's first Rangers goal.

07 Jan 2026 13:12:00
Daily record is reporting that we are in talks with Tochi Chukwuani 6ft2 midfielder from Sturm Graz. Has anyone heard if there is any trueth in this.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 15:42:59
A like the boy milne from Aberdeen, has a bit about him good on the ball, happy to step out with ball from the back, a thought positioning was good also. A lot of potential.

07 Jan 2026 12:51:22
Tochi Chukwuani from Sturm Graz another name seen linked. Danish Midfielder 22. Another Scandinavian Aphelion, do u know anything about him mate?

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 14:08:14
Yes Kaiser absolutely fantastic young dynamic no10. Has played a lot of matches for someone his age and would bring a cutting edge to our midfield.

07 Jan 2026 14:35:46
The article also said penrice is a no go as his club won't enter into discussions.

07 Jan 2026 14:52:28
Thought he's a dcm?

07 Jan 2026 15:03:41
My star he can play anywhere in the centre of midfield.

I personally think he is more suited to the 10 role he played in Denmark.

I can't claim to have seen much since his move to Austria.

07 Jan 2026 15:33:00
It says on transfer market he is left midfield and can play cm and dcm.

07 Jan 2026 15:55:47
He's a LM / LCM mostly and has played DM.

07 Jan 2026 16:00:23
It states he is considdered a DM or a box to box N'o 8.

07 Jan 2026 17:02:41
Cheers Aphelion, I just put his name into Google it said dcm cm mate.

07 Jan 2026 17:03:37
Can't remember him playing against us either.

07 Jan 2026 12:29:11
Another thing I have got wrong after mentioning Chermiti. the midfield last night with Barron, Raskin and Diomande were superb, and I thought they couldn't play together before Saturdays second half. hopefully they keep it up as the spaces they all found while working in sync was a joy to behold. Danny Rohl, you are some man, he knows his stuff.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 14:11:29
That good we were cut open a few times, more composure they'd have scored twice, but just pretend that didn't happen. Aye we won, was some gd stuff but more needs work we were bypassed twice.

07 Jan 2026 14:30:10
That's been our best three for a while MFO.

07 Jan 2026 15:34:14
I see that before I had to start work fork. I am living the fact we are winning but one team is gona take a goal or two off us and we will need to be clinical to win that game.

07 Jan 2026 16:24:40
Fork, you're correct we were cut open a few times and could have conceded. Equally we could and should have had another 2-3 goals ourselves. So whilst I agree not prefect and concede chances we are now creating a lot more.

07 Jan 2026 16:27:20
Fork. i agree mate however i think last night Rangers knew/felt how bad Dons were so weren't as focused on defence.
Shouldnt happen obviously but that's sports.

Loads of teams get cut open with wild passes all the time, its how you get back and deal with them that counts. see it all the time in the EPL and Spain.

07 Jan 2026 17:31:36
Spot on Fork and theirs were clear cut chances that they fluffed but we skirt over those apparently.

07 Jan 2026 18:52:46
Yes they should have scored those couple of chances but don't think anyone is glossing over anything. Can't remember many games I've watched were one team had no chances whatsoever. They messed up those two big moments and we took advantage and apart from that were in complete control.

07 Jan 2026 22:34:39
Fork give yourself peace, not saying we are perfect, far from it. Just giving praise where it is due. Just support for a change. I'm all for constructive criticism, but also happy to admit when I get something wrong. A long way to go and we are at least heading in the correct direction.

07 Jan 2026 12:19:56
Got to hand it to Danny Rohl. Such a young manager. Did wonders at Sheffield Wednesday until their crazy owner made it impossible to stay and has done wonders with us. Biggest change I've seen with us is how hard the team works now, pressing all over the park, shutting players down, last night Aberdeen never got time to settle on the ball.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 13:13:11
I didn't want him at first Davie but he has proved me wrong. We are playing a lot better now. I thought Raskin and Barron were tremendous last night 🫡.

07 Jan 2026 13:40:06
Yeah davie we've found a gem mate, long may it continue 😀.

07 Jan 2026 17:32:32
The set-piece coach too, whoever he is, we scored two goals last night that we probably wouldn't have scored had it not been for him. I saw him in the dug-out and he has a lot to say during set-pieces and the next passage of play following the set-piece. Danny Rohl just let's him get-on with it.

07 Jan 2026 11:54:11
Getting very excited again. Long way to go of course. Its great to actually be in a title challenge again though.

Hoping we find a player or two who can strengthen the team. Think we really need someone creative. I do feel like Nico has upped his game in that regard the last couple of games.

Bit of a rambling first time post. Day off work and bored. What i really wanted to say is regarding Tav. I think the guy deserves to lift the league trophy over his head one more time at least. What a player he has been for the last 10 years. On the way down of course but I do have a lot of respect for the guy. Sadly one of the very few genuine idols who have graced the pitch at Ibrox these last few years. Let's hope we can find a few more players like him in the near future.

Agree4 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 12:08:21
second that but must be used sparingly now especially in tough games.

07 Jan 2026 12:12:46
Agree dado, he's been a event to the club, as godson said we will only miss him when he's gone. Not many players nowadays are so loyal to the club.

07 Jan 2026 12:46:19
Got to agree Dado. Time is catching up with him but what a servant.
As for Raskin. I feel he's been affected by what's been going on at Rangers and like us he feels a new dawn. Onwards Bears.

07 Jan 2026 12:46:49
Agree 100%.

If big Sterling can stay fit then hopefully between him and Tav the right side of defence is sorted.

07 Jan 2026 13:44:34
Welcome to the site DPB.

07 Jan 2026 13:50:46
Tav needs to be used only if down to bre bones and needs to stop taking corners/free kicks high up on park on left as he never get back and leaves us exposed on right if teams counter.
As to loyalty yes to an extent but who else was going to pay him plus 30k a week.

07 Jan 2026 16:21:57
Jasp do you not think that whoever takes the corners and free kicks that other players need to drop in and cover for them. so who covers for Connor when he takes the corners on the LHS or as happened last night cover for Meghoma taking corners on right; oh and standing beside Tav as he took a free kick on right.

just interested as there will always be the player who takes the set play who is out of position.

07 Jan 2026 10:46:46
Seen online david Watson agreed terms, any1 any info on this 1?

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jan 2026 12:29:33
I'd be delighted if this were true.

Really rate him as a player.

07 Jan 2026 12:42:30
Watson to Rangers, Cameron and Curtis to Killie on loan as part of the deal maybe, although unless Watson is going to play right away I would just get the pre contract signed and let him finish the season with them.

07 Jan 2026 13:54:58
David Watson's Middle name is Shankland.

07 Jan 2026 14:36:14
Agreed wslgers, pre-contract and he arrives in the summer, Raskin and Diomande probably move on in the summer.
Same EHL.
