Imperative 3 points a a sticky venue. But we have strikers who just don't score goals. and one of them only scores if its a high profile game. none of them are ever in a position to score in the six yard box. and starting Gassama again is a no no. he is Rank and will never make it at Ibrox. olsen will also be returned. no where what's needed. cerny was the answer, a shoot on site dangerous winger.

DR has done wonders at the club from 13 points back, we all know that. shame to fail at the last hurdle because of inept strikers and playing Gassama on the right when he should never be there. one positive is young Barron back. moves the ball at speed. we can now smell first place time to make it a season to remember for the whole club and the new owners with all that money at stake.

Yeh, I get what you say, DC. I actually thought Gass started ok, but I never think he looks the same on the right. If he goes to the left, though, it negates Rommens a bit. Not sure what the answer on the right is. Maybe Tav, maybe Antman. Can't believe a few on here have been critical of Barron; for what he costs, he gives plenty and is only getting better.

Still, win ugly and check us out? From not a chance of a title last week to 3 points off the lead. So many more twists and turns to come, and I'm loving it.

Really disappointed with Olsen. Would in no way outlay any money for him. I would also look to sell Antman. Gassama also flatters to deceive.

Would like to see Antman on the left, with Moore as a 10, with 1 up top. Gassama can't play on the right, so we're pretty limited in who plays there. Olsen will probably start on the right for the majority of remaining games.

Naderi beer start of the game put a great ball in across face of the goal, and Chermiti was about 5 yards slow. That summed up the day for me, but 3 points is all that matters.

Storm, I completely agree. I was fuming that he was about 5 yards away from where a proper centre forward would be. Striker instinct needs work. Talented player but sleepwalking at times.

3 points is all that matters, Deecee, but to me we shouldn't be going to St Mirren and feeling it's a sticky venue, especially with how their form has been of late. Also, they have a caretaker manager.

We should be skelping them, but yet again we make it difficult for ourselves, like almost every game this season. Seriously, what games this season would you look back on and think, yeah that was easy?

I think it's the best we've looked using that shape, albeit against 10 men of Kilmarnock. The 1st half didn't look anywhere near as convincing; that included Aasgaard and Gassama, with Moore on the left.
Things looked a lot more fluid when Antman and Skov Olsen were introduced to the wider areas.

Ive said this until i'm blue in the face. Gassama is Rank. should never be in the starting eleven. but there he is time and time again. and skol olsen will be returned end of season. not what's required. and once again we have 3 strikers who don't score goals.

one of them in high profile games only. I just hope DR doesn't let all his good work go for nothing. Hearts will fold now and as usual they will smell blood and that just cannot be made to happen. way too much money at stake now.

Imo they can't rate him all they want, Cameron is a far better player, the term you refer to was used in live chat at my exasperation at the substitutions, and Rohl shutting up shop n hoping to hold on for a win, rather than go for it, I refer u to my comments above and elsewhere, the boy can do a job, but for me Cameron is better, the phrase u mention I've never used previously, on here or live, others have not me, one you answer in your very same post.

Twice I've had said I don't rate him, the words have never left my mouth, he can do a job, but Cameron is better.

Was a bad game. Bonus three points, and defence with Djiga in it looks like they could stroll games. We are going to have to keep getting clean sheets to have any chance of competing in this league. Have to start scoring again from set pieces, as we are way off making chances in open play.

Agree, Strom. Points are all that matters. Need to get those strikers amongst the goals though. Can't always rely on full-backs to score winners. Chermiti needs to be a six-yard-box striker, as does Naderi. They are always awol in that area. A good striker is always in that space he sees before the ball even comes there.

👍 To get the 3 points, but Gassama is better deployed on the left, but got to say: where are the goals coming from between now and the end of the season, and the assists from the wide areas.


Moore looked positive going forward, and defensively we were sound, and Rommens, along with Fernandez and Djiga, give us a bit of solidity at the back.
Good to see Barron back and onto the next game.

I'm not sure why Moore goes clean through twice and doesn't even get a shot away. I know the flag went up both times, but I think VAR may have shown he was onside if he had scored. Once again, Chermiti misses a sitter, and the other three were terrible too.

This must be the worst front 4 we've ever had, and bringing on Aso didn't make things any better. 3 expensive signings and 2 expensive loans, and that's what we get.

If Chermiti is given time to think, he hasn't got a clue what to do. Olsen is either lazy or has absolutely no confidence, as he should be waltzing by opposing defenders of St Mirren quality. Gassama likewise, however, seems to make the wrong decision virtually every time he gets the ball.

2 Big lads up front work like hell but don't fill the goal scoring positions when required - both too far away from each other - this needs sorted and, honestly, I think we are better when only one plays - hope Danny sorts this out, as we will need to score more, and regularly, if we have to have any chance - no real goal-sniffer/poacher in our squad.
