Looks like I got it wrong.
Absolutely brilliant result and performance against a team that are absolutely flying in the league and will take points off everyone else.
Great to see Gassama go past defenders with ease.
And a defence that didn't give much awasy, ably lead by the outstanding Tav and Sputter ( who should have been given a 5 year deal and an increase of 1000% in his weekly wage ).

Great to see Chermiti continue his red hot streak.
Olsen is a steal at £8 million in the summer.
And Miovski should easily beat his best tally for Aberdeen by the season end.
Celtic have absolutely no chance and it's now between us and Motherwell for the title.
Now, if you'll excuse me, myself, Santa and the Tooth Fairy are awash to Narnia rob the gold from the end of a rainbow.

Agree5 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 20:30:06
You okay, mate?

22 Feb 2026 20:30:14
This is what a title fight is. We are nowhere near the finished article. If you're expecting that, you will always be disappointed.

We should have won it, we played well enough and created enough, while they scored with their only chances. Sometimes you get these games where everything is a fingertip save or a last-ditch block.

Celtic getting beat means it's a good day for me. Obviously, I prefer to get 3 points, but our position is still good; nothing is won nor lost, and we go into 2 massive games knowing we can win them both and be in a cracking position in the league and cup.

22 Feb 2026 20:56:00
Good stuff, TommyGun. I think we all needed that. Today wasn't the end of the world or the league for that matter.

22 Feb 2026 21:10:08
Tommy, too many fans don't give Hearts the respect they've earned, so it wasn't a good day. We've fallen a further 2 points behind Hearts, and every game becomes must-win. Next Sunday, for instance, we've no room for error, and getting 3 points out of 9 in the last 3 away games simply must be better.

22 Feb 2026 21:41:00
Spot on, One Walter.

22 Feb 2026 21:51:42
If Hearts hold it together, then fair enough to them; however, both them and Celtic are scraping results, and there are still too many games left in the run-in to keep that going.

I am more worried about Motherwell. They are the form team in the country, and are playing some cracking football.

They will finish in the top 3 for me.

However, I am still confident, as I think we are playing well and have the best squad, so I believe we are in a good place.

22 Feb 2026 21:56:47
Correct, Ows. It's not a good day because Hearts won this weekend and we didn't, and they are top, not Celtic. Going by some fans, if Hearts win the league and we finish above Celtic, they will probably be happy with that because of their mentality.

22 Feb 2026 22:26:53
It's Hearts to lose.
The rest need them to start dropping points, but they tend to react well after a setback.
It was said at the turn of the year that Hearts would fall away, but they haven't, and we and they are not consistent.

22 Feb 2026 22:51:43
Hearts last won the league in 1960. No club outside the Old Firm has won it in nearly 50 years. If they win it, then good luck to them. It would be a once in a lifetime achievement, and as a football fan I can acknowledge that. But it's hardly a record worth respecting.

Let's be honest, neither we nor Celtic really deserve anything this season. 5 managers and numerous directors down the line is not a winning formula, and in any other league we would be, correctly, out of any reckoning.

Danny Rohl has come in and got us winning, but he has done that by being hard to beat, turning us into a solid team.

He is trying to play more expansive football now, but we are clearly a work in progress.

I just look at where we are in comparison to Hearts and Celtic and feel good. We have a better squad, Celtic are buying players out the back of Mondeo's, and are playing better than both, so I am bullish about our chances. That does not mean we win every game, but I think we will win enough to get over the line.

23 Feb 2026 07:07:17
To be fair and honest here without sounding as if i'm not giving Hearts credit here both Rangers and Celtic have had terrible periods this season regarding Rangers at the beginning under russell martin where Hearts took advantage and built a big lead on us which has now been reigned in a good bit and of course them with the turmoil that nancy boy created, so Hearts have had that going for them as they've had no turmoil like both the Old Firm have and it's now or never for them and i still think Rangers will win the league 👍🇬🇧

22 Feb 2026 20:01:15
Let's not kid ourselves Charmiti is never going to be a prolific goalscorer
Does not offer enough to team, when not contributing goals.
Rhol needs to stop his fascination that Charmiti is going to come good or he is going to cost us any chance of winning league.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 20:07:35
Yeh, Chermiti was the problem today.

22 Feb 2026 20:11:20
He needs to have somebody up top with him. Honestly, one forward against the bottom of the league meant we got what we deserved.

22 Feb 2026 20:21:15
The one consolation with him is we'll never have to pay the other £2m performance-related add-ons.

22 Feb 2026 21:02:33
They are hammer throwers on that plastic cesspit of a pitch, and I think we got lucky getting out of there without a player worth money getting a nasty one. The tackle on Mikey Moore could have been a nightmare for the lad, but no, let's get on with the game as if nothing happened.

SPL refs are up, they're like junior football refs, and one of the guys on VAR today was a prime example.

22 Feb 2026 23:35:24
Athole, he certainly wasn't the solution, was he?

22 Feb 2026 19:17:08
We play way too slow. Far too many big 2nd halves required this season. Just not good enough. Disappointing that yet again we are chucking it.

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 19:34:33
Definitely Jking, it's noticeable that when we up the pace, we are much better.

22 Feb 2026 20:06:13
Why can't we set about teams like we did against Hearts?

22 Feb 2026 20:25:00
When you have a CB that wants to take 5 mins to decide if he is going forward, backwards or sideways, and a RB that wants to have the game stopped until he wanders to the other side to take corners and free-kicks, not to mention most of our throw-ins, then we will always be slow in the build-up.

22 Feb 2026 19:15:12
Anyway you cut it, that was total garage today, I'm beginning to think we don't deserve to win the league. The midfield hasn't been right since the start of the season, nobody running, nobody getting in behind. What happened to the game changer Olsen, showing nothing you can see why he wasn't getting a game in Germany. DR IMO has a lot to prove.

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 19:36:09
I was delighted when we signed Andreas Skov Olsen, but you're correct, he's shown absolutely nothing so far and is nowhere near the level of Vaclav Cerny. 🤔

22 Feb 2026 19:41:54
We miss Connor Barron's energy in the middle of the park, during stuffy away games.
Performances like his against Hibs, when we edged them out at Easter Rd, are what we badly need.

22 Feb 2026 19:42:51
Once again the manager has got his team selection wrong. We beat the league leaders and he changes a winning team. I understand that Sterling is injured, but we thought we could just turn up and they would roll over. Raskin's price tag has gone to his head and he is adding nothing. When taking the ball in the centre-half position, he needs to be further forward.

Bid Naderi must wonder what he did wrong last week not to start, and also the same for Diomande. At least he will get in behind defenders and make them face their own goal. Aasgaard is pure rubbish and needs to be binned. Dlo, these players actually realise that they can win the league.

22 Feb 2026 19:42:58
Poor result, granted, but not fatal. We are simply not clinical enough, whilst we continue to make chances.
So disappointing a result, and 4 behind with 10 to play. However, what is clear is that Hearts, Hibs, and Motherwell are all able to steal points from us and each other, whilst across the city they have their own issues.

Bottom line is that it is all in our hands, and, at this juncture, I will take that.

22 Feb 2026 19:45:20
Don't talk single fish.

Just look at how we were performing/league standing before Dr came in. Most sensible fans had written this season off.

Yes, poor result today, but I am giving the manager my full backing, and would hope most fans give him (and the team) the support they will need for the rest of the season.

22 Feb 2026 19:58:50
For me, Rohl seems too nice a guy. He might be a decent coach, but he doesn't strike me as the type that can hand out the hairdryer treatment when required.

22 Feb 2026 20:03:11
Agree, BT, Raskin is better advanced and can get around the park more. He doesn't work as a 6 for me. Diomande, I felt, was playing better recently, yet he has been left out. Chukuwani I like the look of, but he drifts out of games.

Defence is the main worry for me, as we have started shipping goals again.
Still very much a work in progress, and that's why I think we will fall short this season.

22 Feb 2026 20:11:12
Locher, not what I've been told.

Rohl has an edge to him, don't worry about that.

22 Feb 2026 20:26:10
Cerny didn't cut the mustard for a good few weeks, I remember him being booed off. It was a bad display today. Sterling is out again, and we're having to rely on Tav. If we get an upgrade at rb, we may begin to see what Skov Olson can do.

22 Feb 2026 20:50:01
100% Parlane.

22 Feb 2026 20:56:33
Have to agree, Parlane. Cerny got it tight, just the same as Olsen is, but it's the usual attitude, not gd enough yadda yadda yadda.

22 Feb 2026 20:57:19
You couldn't be more wrong, Locher.

22 Feb 2026 21:00:00
Going on performances, we won't be looking to sign Olsen in summer.

22 Feb 2026 21:19:36
Aph, I know you think highly of him, but he's been rubbish, simple as that, and let's not blame who's playing behind him. That's another issue altogether.

22 Feb 2026 21:43:25
BigDado, he has not been rubbish at all. Yes, he is not firing on all cylinders at the moment, and has not been as effective as he possibly can be.
He hasn't been at the club for very long, and, quite frankly, I wish we could have waited until the summer to sign him to allow for a preseason.

I think we will keep our commitments to the player and sign him permanently in the summer.

I have full confidence he will prove to be a success once he is fully up to speed.

He probably should have been brought into the team incrementally, but there has been no real alternative than to play him straight away.

22 Feb 2026 21:45:10
Chermiti scored a hat trick last week. That may have had something to do with Naderi not starting. You did this with Igamane at the start when he wasn't playing.

22 Feb 2026 23:42:16
100 percent BigDado, I've seen Tav blamed for loads of things on here, but to say Olsen's poor form is down to Tavernier takes some beating.

23 Feb 2026 05:45:00
Aphe, yes he's been rubbish. There's absolutely no getting away from that.

23 Feb 2026 08:21:46
Yet he was superb to some last week, when he put the ball on Chermiti's head against Hearts for a cracking goal. 5 games in the league: 1 goal, 1 assist. 1 Cup game, 6 games, and written off. Pathetic. The same is being done with Chermiti, world-beater to dud.

23 Feb 2026 08:41:37
Aph, I agree, everyone needs a bit of time to adjust, but given the nature of this title race, we need them to be on it right away.
I'm not sure he starts next weekend. Tierney will be looking forward to playing him on current form. Maybe he will have more of an impact from the bench, same as Gassama for now.

22 Feb 2026 19:01:19
3 draws in last 3 away games is not title winning form. We continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Soutttar again today proved he isn't good enough never will be and should be back up only. I still can't believe we have given him another contract. Djiga has been playing better than him recently.

Yes Celtic losing helps us dropping points but it's still not good enough and gives Hearts a bit of breathing space. They have the better run of games to the split imo.

That 1st half was atrocious no other word for it.
Chermiti back to his usually play him against Celtic an Hearts and bring him on as sub in other games.
Olsen hasn't played for a while but we are in a title race and can't afford to have someone that's not ready to fire on all cylinders.
What the has done so far I wouldn't sign in the summer.

We need to beat them next week. No other result will be good enough.

Agree4 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 20:44:15
Agreed, Strom - next week is a must-win. Any other result will not do.

22 Feb 2026 18:30:31
Apparently as the ref had not blown for a foul and VAR determined that first contact was outside the box then they can't recommend a free kick. but I thought it could have been covered by potential red card for denying a scoring chance.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 18:50:52
It wasn't a red card.

22 Feb 2026 18:55:10
Yes, it's a foul and a red, as Moore was ready to hit the shot.

22 Feb 2026 19:14:54
Yes, if it's deemed a red card, but it wasn't.
If the challenge was inside the box, then VAR would have recommended a review by the ref, and likely it would have been a pen.

22 Feb 2026 20:10:13
Should have been reviewed by the ref. The foul continued into the box, and as such was about as stonewall a penalty as you will see.

22 Feb 2026 21:08:48
First contact is key and it's been proved it was just outside.

22 Feb 2026 22:52:22
It wasn't, though, Goram. It's when initial contact is made. Learn the rules.

23 Feb 2026 05:46:33
Strom, if the foul continues onto the line or into the box, then a foul can be given. Think you may need to brush up on the rules yourself. 👍

22 Feb 2026 18:13:20
To think the Chermiti comments haven't started yet🎣😇

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 18:30:40
I already have. 😎

22 Feb 2026 18:44:48
Fork, TBH, mate, we make it easy at times for teams playing against us. 🤔 Everything mostly was in front of Livingston, and our 2 wide men, Skov Olsen and Gassama, were dreadful, to put it mildly. 🤔 It's too many passes sideways a lot of the time, and it's overpassing with no killer ball or penetration.

🤔 Our current away form is a concern ATM, absolutely no doubt about that, and up until now I've been so disappointed in Skov Olsen. 🤔

22 Feb 2026 18:51:42
I can't way for the excuses for him he is young not plays many games. We should only play him against Hearts and Celtic because he is rank against every other team a blind man can see it

22 Feb 2026 18:56:10
He struggles up top on his own. I've no idea why Rohl feels he needs to respect the bottom team in the league by playing 1 top up, especially Chermiti, who appears far better with a partner. I am very disappointed in Rohl today. Decisions like that will cost us the league.

22 Feb 2026 19:33:03
He does not look match fit imo. If so, why is Rohl starting him? Have him come off the bench with 30 to go, when legs are tired.

22 Feb 2026 18:10:56
Hi

I still think we miss C Barron he gets back more to quash attacks, his energy is badly missed in my opinion!

Wish he would improve a bit in attacks but that will come.

Agree8 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 18:51:58
He wouldn't have won us that game the day.

22 Feb 2026 18:57:06
Ah, the weekly Barron post, same time next week?

22 Feb 2026 18:03:31
Loads of points being raised on the chat today but man will people stop taking things personal. APH. Mate sorry if you thought I was having a dig about you personally. I don't do that.

It's nearly 6 years since we have won the league and since coming back up we have won only 3 trophies. There will those behind the scenes that bleed Rangers but they will be those that see it as a job. Now in my job I am given pelters every day as I represent a company and if it goes wrong even outwith my control. I get pelters. don't take it personal. Maybe it's wrong but a highly paid footballer needing time to settle before producing (Nope). A manager being rigid to the detriment of the club (Nope) A senior executive making choices that show a complete misunderstanding of the situation(Nope). No names, no finger pointing, just examples of football in general being devoid of a reality.

My reality is I think we have too many that aren't that particular about winning.trophies 👍

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Feb 2026 18:45:02
I am not taking things personally, Windy.

Your comment explicitly said that "journeyman players, manager and businessmen" is my answer.

If that is not personally directed at me, then I must not understand English whatsoever.

I agree that we have not won a lot, but we have been under new ownership for 2 transfer windows.

As for players needing time to settle, it does not matter how highly paid a player is, they need time to settle into new surroundings.

Especially if they have not played football in 3 months prior to joining a club who play in a frantic league.

I get judged every day of my life, and I own every single decision I make.

Football is not like any other business. There are so many variables that other businesses do not have.

22 Feb 2026 18:47:07
There were those in charge who bled Rangers and cared solely about trophies.

It resulted in liquidation the first time, and it had a high possibility of resulting in administration the second time until the new owners came in.

Look after the business first, and the business will look after you.

22 Feb 2026 18:54:00
I had a disagreement with him today, and I thought he took it personally; I wasn't accusing him, I was just asking. I would say it's all sorted now, I hope.

No one knows who anyone is, and a lot of us, me included, take things personally at times, but I am just not that bothered now.

22 Feb 2026 19:40:34
So far, from what I've seen of Skov Olsen, I'd have Cerny before him every day of the week and not even a contest so far. 🤔

22 Feb 2026 19:54:17
Strom, of course it's sorted. No lasting effects, just fed up with the return of the persistent nature of some comments.

Any time I give an opinion, the comments about being Scandinavian start.

22 Feb 2026 21:01:24
You have a very selective memory, Coops. Cerny got it stinking too, and improved. u want instant success when it suits you, it didn't happen for Cerny and is not happening for Olsen, just yet. What's worse, you know you're doing it.
