He will do a job for us Tommy boy, no doubt of that. The changing room does need a wee kick up the arse, he, s the man for that.

Till Rangers announce it a will believe it don't believe these cowboys they just write things for the fun of it. They get most of their stories from social media a so hope they are right do have a good feeling about Muscat 🤞🏻.

Hope the fans stay away until an actual manager turns up.

Gets4ever, what a strange thing to post,

Muscat hopefully unveiled on Monday morning.

Won't be surprised to see thelwell out the door by xmas.

Hopefully we can all get behind Muscat, he's here to win but with this squad it will be a challenge.

At last a bit of common sense, welcome home Kev🍻🍻🍻.

16 Oct 2025 17:44:02
Squad is by and large decent a good manager will get them i to to good shape whether muscat is a good manager that is to be determined.

16 Oct 2025 17:52:17
Can't believe he's still here, adds zero value to our club.

16 Oct 2025 15:52:18
Anyone with any knowledge as to how highly regarded Stevie Smith is as a coach and his credentials? Looks like he'll be in charge for some big games for us such as Celtic in the semi final and x2 European games if Muscat is coming in at the end of November. Wish him the best of course and would love him to prove me wrong but anticipating a rough month and a half.

He's very calm, methodical and I a really clear communicator - which is probably exactly what we need at the moment.

It's probably a little early in his own development to get the reigns, but there's plenty of support in and around him.

I haven't felt overly confident for any game this season, but I'm going 4-0 this weekend.

16 Oct 2025 19:24:27
Hope you're right EHL 👍.

16 Oct 2025 15:31:15
Hopefully Muscat turns things round European football next season is a realistic target for this season. I am surprised we didn't try for Ted Lasso given the comedy circus that surrounds us currently. Onwards and upwards WTP.

Ted lasso turned us down, couldn't work with Thelwell.

The worrying thing about the Rangers manager saga is that we haven't had any outstanding candidates.
Or to my knowledge, haven't approached any.
Gerrard was the comfort blanket the fans craved. Seeing his first spell through blue tinted specs after the following debacles of GVB, Beale, Clement and the final straw Martin.
Rohl is the unknown who doesn't excite the fans with his record at Sheffield Wednesday repeatedly brought up.
Dyche would have brought a brand of unattractive kick and rush football.
Ferguson would have brought the staunchness the fans crave but not as lot else.
McInnes would have been a safe option that has never endeared itself to the fans.
We've also had various out of work Championship managers in the mix. A root most fans aren't keen on going down.
Which has left us with Muscat.
Who from a boardroom level appeases a section of the support as he's an ex-Ranger.
Excites other fans as he's a winner in various Asian leagues.
Annoys others as he isn't available until November.
And some questioning his tactics / formations already due to his goals against tally.
Which means he will miss games domestically, including a semi-final against our biggest rivals, and games in the Europe League.
A season that is already fragile to say the least could be looking horrendous by the time he starts.
Which leaves us in the unfortunate position of Smith etc taking the reins and steadying the ship until his arrival.
Fingers crossed the fans give them the backing they will need.

What u worrying about? Only worrying thing is ignorance and it's bliss. We as fans haven't clue what's going on and your assignation way wide. Let's wait see, you can worry if we're managerless at Christmas.

The fans backed the team. Despite the dross. We certainly never want the toxicity.

Muscat if him, is the last throw of the dice. because if this breaks down then I think it mediocrity fc from here on in.

16 Oct 2025 15:54:41
Think Muscat ticks more boxes than the others been mentioned to the job, hopefully EPL clubs are all over him in a couple of years.

16 Oct 2025 16:11:43
Finish 2nd this season and build for next. No way this Rangers side with that horrid defence wins the league.

16 Oct 2025 16:47:50
Who do you think would want the job who is outstanding? As much as we all love our club and used to be a big draw money has changed things significantly and many mangers don't want to manage in Scotland certainly anyone outstanding - we were fortunate with Walter and advocat came when we had money and dominated Scottish football and were seen around Europe as a top team - we are not the same draw anymore and which is a key reason why Europe is so important for us to progress both financially and to attract better players and managers in future years - glad it is not mcinnes or Gerrard.

16 Oct 2025 16:53:45
We need to remember we can't attract the big names or players anymore that's where we are sadly.

16 Oct 2025 17:02:09
I'll ask this again cause maybe I missed the answer. Can Muscat's team win their league and if not can't we buy out the remainder of his contract?

16 Oct 2025 17:14:15
Whatsmyname His team are top of the league with 4 games left to play and they are 2pts clear.

16 Oct 2025 18:16:23
