Random shout out to Marie-Louise Eta who helped Union Berlin avoid relegation in emphatic style.
Really impressive to see a women at the helm a club in one of the big 5 leagues.

Has she been given the job full time now?
18 May 2026 07:43:59
Think she's going to Women's team. FT Kaiser.
18 May 2026 08:26:04
Kaiser, it was only temporary for the 5 games to end of season, I think. 2 wins, a draw and 2 losses kept them up. Hopefully she gets the chance again full time in a manager's role for the main club team. Seems to have thrived in the temp role anyway.
18 May 2026 10:40:05
Danilho Doekhi is available on a free transfer but linked to Leeds United.
17 May 2026 22:28:16
Now Rohl has been confirmed to be staying, what names are popping up for signings? Any that is jaw dropping?

None so far, mate. Give it a week. 👍 😀

To keep;
Butland
Kelly
Sterling
Souttar
Fernandez
Rommens
Barron
Chukwuani
Diomande
Moore

Curtis
Bring in;
2XCB
RB

Plus continue to progress our youth players that wee have had glimpses of (Lawson, scally, etc)
Everyone else can be sold. Squad of 22 plus youth boys to make it up to 25-26.

I don't think Butland will be here next season.
For me, priority areas would be:
RB
CB x 2
DM
AM
RW
ST.
17 May 2026 23:17:29
Need to get shot of Butland. One of the worst in the league statistically for saves, scare with the ball at his feet. The amount of goals that go in down the middle of the goal is mental.
He always starts having worse howlers the closer it gets to the end of a season. Think he's full of patter as well, and talks a good game, but doesn't have the right mentality for Rangers, unfortunately.
18 May 2026 00:29:15
Players needed imo minimum are the following.
1xGk
1xlb
2xcb
2xrb
2cm
2 wingers 1Lw 1Rw
1 striker
11 players needed imo.
18 May 2026 07:39:09
Blue, Butland is 3rd best in the league for saves after McCracken and Prior. Try to check the stats before you just try to spout things against a player.
18 May 2026 07:58:03
Having watched JB concede that og on Saturday, imo he needs replaced. His distribution is hopeless, and has caused us problems all season. He is not good at cross balls either, and, as someone else alluded to, he has lost a lot of goals he should have stopped, i.e. in the middle of the goal. We need to stop also waxing lyrical about the like of Raskin, who imo has totally underperformed for a full International Footballer.
Who we sign, I wouldn't know, I'll leave that to Danny and the powers that be, but they must show more determination than this sorry squad showed. Let's just wait and see, I think things are probably already moving.
18 May 2026 08:08:35
Angus, someone put up stats before Butland was worst in league for point saving saves or expected saves above average. Something like that. He is prob referring to that, the wording escapes me.
18 May 2026 09:44:14
Agree with your post, irvger. Cannot go to games any more so have to watch them on tv, and my thought about the team over the course of the season is we need players with a desire to win. There seems to be a culture within the team of just turning up and results do not matter, and if what I am reading, that players are disrupting the dressing room, get shot of them, and I think we have to strengthen the spine from defense to mid field.
18 May 2026 10:03:20
Anyone who watched the Celtic game and can say they would have Barron anywhere near our midfield needs their head examined. We need much, much better in there
Would also trade in Souttar whilst we can.
Nowhere near quick enough as a modern CB
Overjoyed to see the back of Tav. Past 3 managers have all tried to get rid, and he has stayed purely because he couldn't find a club willing to match his salary.
18 May 2026 10:41:10
For me i would part ways with all of the "Leadership group" at Glasgow Rangers. Although we are losing up to 10 players straight away with the loans ending of Aarrons, Djiga, Cornelius, Moore, Megoma and Skov Olsen and Tav, Dowell, Davies and Rice leaving on a free.
We have up to 9 players returning from straight loans or where options haven't been taken up in Danilo, McCausland, Cifuentes, Nsio, Wright (gk), Curtis, Hutton, Nsiala & Gentles. May be more youth that are too old for U19s.
This leaves us with a heavily bloated squad full of players not good enough that need moved on. This is only players i'd be open to keeping, happily move on the rest. Obviously i know it isn't possible to move everyone on just my opinion on who i would 100% keep:
GK -
I would keep Kelly if he was willing to stay as a #2 but he may want 1st team football elsewhere. i'd be looking for a new #1 and promote from within for a #3
DEF -
Rommens 100%
Fernandes - i would only entertain selling if it was for a club or Scottish transfer record fee.
MID -
Barron - keep as back up to a new #6, think this would bring him on further.
Chukwuani - started well, maybe kick on with a pre season amd new players around him.
LW/RW/ATT
Curtis - wee man deserves a chance next season.
Antman - still feel that with a good preseason there is a good right winger in there. His assist record before coming was decent.
Chermiti - genuinely think next season he could get 20+ with a more settled team. 1 more year then move on for profit.
Nadiri - been decent in spells and a good option.
Moore - if can get him back for 1 more year on loan it would be a no brainer for me, never be able to afford to buy him.
Moore would be the only Loan i would look to do. 6 loans this year has been a disaster.
Anyone not listed i would sell if money was right.
Antman - should get money back as a minimum, has great feet just don't see the fight in him.
Gassama - probably actually make some profit on.
Raskin - i feel he will be 1 of the first to go for decent money to kick start the rebuild.
Dio - should get decent money for.
Bajrami - heard accepted bids already around what we paid.
Miovski - think he suits a counter attacking team more might take a small loss.
Soutter, Butland, Cameron, McCausland, Cifuentes, Nsiala
I'm sure I've probably missed players out but it shows the severity of the task ahead in turning this squad around in time for the qualifying rounds in Europe during a world cup summer.
18 May 2026 10:43:08
Orange,
More interested who were getting shot of TBH.
18 May 2026 13:16:02
Miller Brand, if you take away the players I have mentioned to keep, you get the ones we are getting rid of, for me lol.
17 May 2026 21:16:06
If we can move on anyone we wish and keep who we want I'd only keep
Butland back up
Kelly 3rd choice
Souttar back up rcb
Rommens LB
Raskin right 8 in a mf 3
Barron battling for forst choice 6 with a far more experience mf player
Curtis one of 2 right forwards
Chermiti 1st choice but with a new striker to compete with
Naderi 3rd choice
I'd also keep Cameron as back up in mf

Stevie, but surely if you think the manager is the issue then the players we have would be better under a new manager. 😉 I think we will keep more than those you mention, as I think they are better than they showed this season. No-one was done any favours by our first manager choice this season.
17 May 2026 21:42:42
Let Butland leave. Sell on Raskin, sell on Diomande and Bajrami. What we need is:
New GK.
New right back.
Couple new Centre backs (One in particular with experience).
Back up left back.
Couple centre mids.
New starting left winger.
New starting right winger.
A lot of our current first 11 become squad players. A lot easier said than done.
17 May 2026 22:43:51
Keep Rommens and Manny from Defence, Chuck Barron and maybe Raskin from midfield. Curtis and Chermiti from attack, maybe Naderi. Try and see who u can get rid of from all the rest.
17 May 2026 23:11:49
Angus, the manager isn't able to do the remit, which is win the league. This he has to go.
The players are clearly a massive problem, so I'd maybe even sell Raskin too as he seems to be at the centre of any negative news we hear.
Manny, imo, will make a lot of mistakes similar to Amoruso.
I don't think we'll get as much next summer as we will this summer. That's why I'd sell him if we get offers around £20m.
But Lamas is kept on for his experience in case new foreign no1 doesn't settle right away. I think that'd be a wise move tbh
18 May 2026 00:31:25
Ago, I think that's what we need. Also, I would sell Bojan and get Stewart from Falkirk, more potential.
18 May 2026 07:42:10
Stevie, that is our problem though. If the remit is to win the league, then if a manager doesn't achieve that, then we just continue to sack them. That is why the club needs to stop listening to the fans.
It seems the club sees good things that we can build on next season with Rohl, and I imagine/hope they do the same with the players who they see as having that same potential to grow and win things for us long-term.
18 May 2026 08:02:02
I doubt very much when Rohl came in his remit was to win the league this season. Not sure any manager would have taken the job if that was the case.
If the players aren't good enough, and Rohl didn't employ them, then how can that be the manager's fault?
18 May 2026 09:57:05
Why would we keep Butland as second choice on over 30k. Plus, don't think he would want to stay in those circumstances.
Same with Naderi.
Still, don't think Rohl is the answer going forward. Tactics, style, substitutions have been out though on too many occasions. If we want to accept 2nd he may just manage that.
17 May 2026 20:15:09
Wouldn't mind these rumours I've seen mentioned being done
Skoglund
Falschener
Penrice
Anderson
Watt
McClean
Charles
No idea if we're targeting strikers too though, presumably that'll be 1 out 1 in kinda deal.
Rumoured outgoing offers Raskin & Chermiti

17 May 2026 21:09:28
I think we'll sell Nico Raskin, but we'll keep Chermiti for at least another season. 🤔🇬🇧
17 May 2026 21:14:43
If we keep Chermiti tik next summer, mate, I expect us to get £25m for him. He's going to be a very good player.
Raskin has hit a ceiling with us, best to move him on, but if he really wants to stay, it'd be great to have him.
17 May 2026 21:26:02
Sure, I read interest in our Manny Fernandez too, unsure what our price would be on him.
18 May 2026 06:54:27
If Raskin has decent WC, I'm sure he will want to be for the off 🤔 sell when potential premium is high imo.
17 May 2026 20:13:10

Some high level OOC players leaving Germany this summer brandt for example could Rohl some how persuade any of them to be Rangers leaders? I kept being told we would sign goretzka and the big German centre back sule before christmas time but I've always been adamant it was a little far fetched.
Weve been crying out for experience for a long long time if anyone has any names they have heard please let us know.
Im not a big fan of Rohl but if he's our manager getting behind him is what we all need to do so for me its about focusing on recruitment✌️✌️.

Isn't Sule retired? Goretzka was on about 150k pw, is he not?
17 May 2026 20:37:56
I've no idea. I pay no attention to football outside Rangers any more. 👍👍 And I did say I've found it a little far fetched. 👍👍 Your input was great, it's exactly what I asked for. 🫣
17 May 2026 21:20:26
You're welcome. 🤣🤣
17 May 2026 21:21:14
What about Salih Ozcan. Out of contract at Dortmund. Centre mid and Turkish international. Could do well in our league.
17 May 2026 21:41:29
Muscat, I don't really want players coming here at end of career and getting a huge salary. There will be experienced players in their prime who will be available at right price and on right salary who will improve us. If they are of the quality of Goretzke and Sule in their prime, I would bite your hand off, granted.
18 May 2026 08:33:25
Advocaat did this when he was in charge at Ibrox, but it was younger guys, generally from the Netherlands, but also from Italy and Spain. In turning down Shakland, we missed-out on a fine player, but also a great Captain.
I think most of us would prefer the Captain to be Scottish and there are not many candidates around. Preferably he would be a central midfielder or defender mind-you.
