Now I’m getting concerned if I’m honest. Just feels like we’re waiting for Ridvan or someone else to leave permanently. I’m guessing Denkey was our striker target John? McKenna should have been a deal that was doable, but as he wanted to move this month. With no movement on Davies that would have been difficult I guess.

Frustrating window so far. Not sure if it’s FFP or the fact we have little money to spend, but this was an important window for us and them. Whoever comes out the strongest, wins the league for me. We’re toiling at the moment.

Feel like Denkey was always out of our price range. Wouldn’t mind us having a look at players like Karweina who’s playing in Austria. Plays across the front line and has 8 goals and 7 assists in 16 games in the Austrian league for a team sitting in 5th. 24 years old and out of contract in the summer. Currently valued at 1.5m and linked with a move to bundesliga. I’d rather buy the best players in leagues at a similar standard to us than buying rubbish players in the top league (not saying that about Denkey more relating to Dessers and Lammers etc. )

Its always the same every year. We get linked to every Tom Dick or Harry and the manager comes on and says we are close with signing a few, but i can't say any more than that. We never get who we want and end up taking Dross like Dessers and Lammers. Celtic are ahead of us no matter how we hate to say that and will continue to be so for years to come unless we get our fingers out. If its the fee we can`t agree with McKenna we can always go back in, in the summer and get him for nothing . If its his wages then he`s being a bit short sighted, not playing could cost him his Scotland place at the Euros. Its his loss, there are other centre backs out there although his big asset is his Scottishness . Just like Doig we can do better for less money but getting them helps us fill our Scottish places in Europe.
