Well, under Michael Beale, we had no chance. I think that's rather obvious and I do think that everyone that said we would not win the league said it when Beale was still in charge. Of course, it's still possible, and Big Phil's appointment is the only reason that it is still possible. The January window will be really important. We will need a new striker because god forbid anything happens to Batdan and we will be in trouble.
A winger or two will also be a priority, along with a Centre Midfielder. I think it might be hard for us to move players on with the obvious being Dessers. For me, I feel Big Phil doesn't fancy Cifuentes and Dowell and neither do I to be honest. Maybe I am being overcritical, but the early signs are not encouraging from either. Lammers is the other one who just doesn't seem to get any better.
I was really pleased for young McCausland last night. I thought he was terrific. Some of his vision and passing was incredible. I thought Cantwell was really good out wide even though we all wanted him as the 10. What can I say about Batdan, this boy is the real deal and is head and shoulders above Alfredo. a lot of people were worried when Alfredo left. Panic over.

Cifu needs time remember he’s a young guy who probably knew nobody here when he moved. Be surprised if he’s even been in the UK before he moved here full time. Will take time for him to settle in and rangers aren’t exactly easy to play for. Was regarded as one of the best players in the MLS before he came. I think he’d offer us more in the attacking midfield role than Lammers.

Cifuentes can play, our midfield two will soon be him and Raskin/ Lundstram, been impressed with Lundstram since Clement came in.

Who knows if he rates Dowell, he's been injured and is not part of the euro squad so he's not had much of a chance to play him.

Once raskin is back. And we have a fully fit midfield he will struggle for any game time i feel.

Yeah dd, thought we danilo was excellent last, his all round game was just a joy to watch. I loved that he created the first goal just through sheer effort and desire, he didn't give there back 4 a minute's peace all night. Sima didn't create an awful lot but have to say, what an out ball to get us up the park, I don't think Borna overlapped him once, he's just far to quick ?.

Hard to say whether Big Phil fancies Dowell or Cifuentes both have been injured and only coming back now, so their attitude during this time will tell him a lot . There are always places up for grabs, players get injured and lose form . Look at Raskin he was pretty poor before he got injured, Jack has taken his place and now looks undroppable playing like that. As for someones comments about Danilo v Alfie, he certainly is missing as many good chances as Alfie did at the tail end of his time with us and when he has scored more than once in Europe, and won as many big games as Alfie did over his career with us, then we can relax in the fact we have got a good replacement . It looks positive so far if he can keep it going.

Duncan are you Caldo? Raskin is overrated and midfield playing much better without him.

Well let's hope that you have got this one correct Star in the sky, but we have yet to see it or any indication that he can be a top player for us.

John I think its odd that you say he has been poor for the B team because he has been very good for the first team. I don't see much of the B team so I will have to take your word for that. Big Phil wants him to sign a new contract so again this would rebuff your opinion that he has been poor for the B team. I don't think anyone is saying you are not allowed an opinion either my friend, people are allowed to question your opinion without you taking it personally. When do you think we will Ishaka in the first team if you think he is better than a player already in the first team?

It was very pleasing to see young Ross put in an excellent performance today, he should have been rewarded with a goal but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities to come. I'm hopeful he will sign a new deal.

I read this earlier today, very sad news. I think it should be compulsory that you are not allowed to play professionally should a heart defect be found.

Yes Raskin I know, my point is that VAR never over ruled it because in the VAR studio they would have looked at slow motion replays which is not a true reflection of the game.

I have no idea why these pitches are allowed in our game. They do nothing for our game. I think big Phil covered this excellently in his pre match interview.
