18 Oct 2022 05:01:00
I've no reason to doubt you've seen something regarding steven gerrard but i can't find it anywhere that he's been sacked DD1980?.

3.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 09:03:54
Yip welcome bk sg lol. not

we have gio support him an the team we might all get somewhere instead of slaughtering half of the squad and coaching team.

4.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 09:10:27

5.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 09:40:39
Gerrard big dream and plan is to manage Liverpool one day, what's the chance of that happening if/ when he gets sacked by Villa.

6.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 10:00:00
Yip, just read also that Gerrard has been sacked.

7.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 10:01:13
Because he might get sacked at villa does not mean his anfield dteam is dead . some on here want michael beale so if qpr sack him is that him out the running for the gers job in years to come?

8.) 18 Oct 2022
18 oct 2022 10:27:05
alex ferguson was sacked before greatness.

9.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 10:28:11
Also just read that Villa have said that Gerrard hasn't been sacked.

10.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 11:29:40
Wolves were meant to be interested in Beale.
If Gerrard does get the sack, Where's his next job coming from? .
Brenda is on the verge of the bullet aswell, how the mighty fall ?.

11.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 12:47:11
Soz people but i don't want SG bk with out beale.

12.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 12:52:09
If Villa lose to Fulham and Brentford this week expect Gerrard to exit. I watched Villa- Chelsea game at weekend and thought Villa very unlucky to lose, but he has received big investment support from the board and it’s a results driven business.

13.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 12:59:21
Gerrard will make a living as a pundit, probably replacing Souness on Sky. Either that or do a Steve Bruce and scratch a living of getting mediocre teams on long contracts and getting sacked, raking in the cash as he goes. I cannot see any way in which he will now end up as Liverpool manager.

14.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 13:24:29
He might end up Beales assistant at Liverpool ?.

15.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 13:46:16
Some conflicting reports out there now. only passed on the report I read but unsure if it's TRUE or not now.

16.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 14:30:43
He won't get an EPL job. Think he will drop to championship and just be a run of the mill manager.

17.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 15:11:05
A hell of a lot of better managers than SG have been sacked it’s not the end of the world if you do get sacked and a big pay off.

18.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 15:44:45
Don’t want gerrard back even with Beale lol 1 trophy out of 9 in Scotland and he spent a fortune. Gio he’s the same amount a trophy’s in a fraction of
The time.

19.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 16:12:03
But Gio inherited a successful squad. See what SG inherited from Pedro.

20.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 17:35:22
I think it's crazy people think Gerrard a better manager just cause he left when we were in front and won league year before people conveniently forget his other seasons how many Scottish cups did he win How many euro finals did he win? What did he win in his first and second season

Gio just missed out on league and Europa won a cup in first season I too have been a bit annoyed with displays recently but everyone got to concede our injury list way! Too big and the investment we all expected did not materialise from this board.

21.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 17:37:45
Also the board telling us that champions League money already spent season before? was it not this board that said they were not counting champions League money in future budget as we were not guaranteed to qualify ?

I'd look at board before manager then possibly recruitment of injury prone players by wilson.

22.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 17:49:22
SG was doomed as soon as Micheal Beale went solo.

23.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 18:08:36
i will never slag off stevie, stopped terry munro, will always be a hero in my eyes, nothing but admiration for the man, i hope he turns the corner with villa.

24.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 18:33:23
Correct, Seeker.

25.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 18:59:47
Gerrard is our third highest spending manager in our history and won one trophy. Not good enough regardless a what team he got of Pedro.

26.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 19:16:06
Good point seeker.

27.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 19:42:15
I liked Stevie G and have no issues with how or why he left.

I also think GVB is an upgrade.

Pretty sure I'm in the minority though, if not it certainly feels like it at the moment.

28.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 21:31:08
I said at time Gio an upgrade and I stand by that.

29.) 18 Oct 2022
18 Oct 2022 22:12:29
John, imo he's not a upgrade, he blew the league last season, the football is dire to watch this season, I hope I'm wrong but I honestly can't see us winning the spl with him in charge.

30.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 02:19:16
Might have been a successful season but everyone knows Celtic where rank rotten that year and last year Celtic invested heavily while we sat on our thumbs looking happy with ourselves instead of planning for following season.

31.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 17:10:21
Gio done more than gerrard in a lot shorter time he’s a upgrade for me.

32.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 17:46:20
Funny John you saying it's managers who decide to pay certain fees ? you say about spending of gio remind me how much did "Gerrard" if your saying it's the manager who spends pay for Kent goldson helander roofe What was it roughly 7m 3m 3m 6m and there are also other signings like hagi and higher wages under Gerrard our recruitment has been shocking long before gio was there not someone on here recently saying Wilson has recruited 35 or more players and only two played against smelltic ? to me that's a Trent that started long before gio.

33.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 17:51:55
U miss the point, he is an upgrade on sg who was a figrehead.
Gio a far superior coach to sg and McAllister.

34.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 18:55:50
Bring him home… ewww.

35.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 22:38:47
How many deluded here. SG is not coming back! He left because the board didn’t back him why would he return? Never read so much nonsense in years.

36.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 22:57:30
Go for I say managers decide who they want, dof negotiates deals, please ignore me because I can’t be bothered with your constant nit picking.

37.) 20 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 23:02:52
GVB an upgrade are you serious? No chance. SG got us up for old firm games, we held our own. Two destructions under Gio! An upgrade utter nonsense.

38.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 05:12:38
Unbeliever this Celtic team a far better. team than the one gerrrad beat and people only rose tint cause his last full season he won the league and that was only thing he won.

39.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 08:02:10
You can't be serious John!
Gio is not a better coach than Gerrard. The guy we have in charge has been culpable for our heaviest defeat at home, lost 3 of the last 4 games against Celtic and we are playing some if the most dire football I can ever remember. Gerrard made us hard to beat, we never lost more than 2 goals and he had the Tims number for most of tenure.

40.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 08:48:11
NRD all about opinions,

41.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 15:19:08
John I agree we all have opinions but I can't help think you're just taking the piss?.

42.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 16:35:20
I don't believe that in terms of coaching ability that Gerrard is a better manager than GVB. He won the league against a a poor Celtic Team when he had a number of quality players still in their prime and clearly Beale was a significant benefit to him as a coach. He saw the writing on the wall, that the better players, guys like McGregor, Davis, Arfield and Jack were all reaching the end of their career and there were doubts over whether Goldson would leave and he wasn't being allowed to sign players of a similar or better quality.
With quality players at his disposal I personally believe that GVB would be the better coach and Beale excluded GVB has a better backroom staff. Unfortunately I don't believe that the players brought in under GVB are any where close to the players that were signed initially by Gerrard.

43.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 17:21:58
Lol plan A not working now people want to go with plan B and Thier choice is a manager (Gerrard) who doesn't even have a plan B himself ???.

44.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 19:16:10
John I agree think gio way better than Gerrard coach and tactical wise but think maybe gio too nice one thing I think Gerrard would have had in his favour I don't think he would have hesitated to shout and ball at HT if games were going the way they have for us recently.

I'm still behind gio and hope he can turn it around. ?.

45.) 20 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 19:25:51
I will always be grateful to Stevie G for not only stopping the Tim's holy Grail but doing it undefeated, imagine if that mob would have got their 10 in a row.
I wish him a successful footballing future.

46.) 21 Oct 2022
20 Oct 2022 23:53:23
I agree Gio is an upgrade, he’s dealing with a horrendous amount of injuries, lack of real squad quality in certain areas and one or two who want to move on- it’s a tough task and we’re still in the league hunt- tough times don’t last so his breaks will come!

47.) 21 Oct 2022
21 Oct 2022 01:57:23
Brexit jam1 ?.

48.) 21 Oct 2022
21 Oct 2022 17:21:16
NRD 100% not taking the piss. Sg was a figure head he could not coach, that was Beale and Milson job

At least Gio can coach, hence the reason I say Gio an upgrade. I stand by that.
