If it was the hungry Morelos of a few seasons ago and not the lazy wee sod of last season, I believe the support would welcome him? But he thought he’d be inundated with offers for Spain or Italy or even the EPL. But these haven’t materialised as of yet. These clubs aren’t blind, why would they take egotistic player who May down tools if he doesn’t get what he wants, he’s not a Ronaldo. Good luck to the guy as he owes us nothing? But not at Ibrox ?

Morelos would hinder us rather than help us going forward we needed this change. We need fit and hungry for success players, get Danilo in and the forward line is sorted……. hopefully, either way Morelos isn’t the answer anymore.

even if you double danilos games and goals he is still well behind morelos.
a solid pre season now that alfie has fully recovered from his long term injury from last season that seriously hampered his games to goals ratio. and we could have a better morelos than ever, we have zero guarantees any of the players we have bought so far will hit there true potential, only time will tell, let's hope so.
bring alfie back ;) in his best form he is still one of the most dangerous forwards in europe his record speaks for that, all be it in the europa league, let's be honest the current rangers are not champions league level, we simply do not have the money nor the quality of squad to do anything of note in tha competition, the days of us being one of the most feared teams in the champions league during S. W. S period faded long ago and it will be a long time before they return, being realistic.

So their stats are essentially the same, they both score every 2 games. Danilo is younger obviously and there's a cost difference.
Morelos though downed tools last season, the 1 thing a Rangers player can never do and be welcomed back for me. I don't have an issue with Balogun as he always gave his all and he won't be a first pick, which he's obviously happy with at his age.
I think Morelos would not be so happy with so much competition for places and not playing as much.
Not for me a Morelos return.

Morelos ain’t coming back so we can just put that to bed. Remember it was confirmed that neither he nor Kent were actually even offered new deals, probably partially because we already knew neither would sign and both wanted too much money, but also because it was time for both to move on, they’d become stale. So why would we now offer him to come back pretty much as a last resort for him if he can’t get anything else? Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not having a go at him or slating him, he gave us at least 3 and a half really good years (bar the ridiculous red cards and occasional late return from holidays) . However it never felt his heart was ever really at Rangers. It took him years to be bothered to learn English, he clearly valued playing for his country over anything else, which is fine however it was to our detriment on occasions, and he showed over the last year and a bit that he just didn’t care that much about Rangers anymore and that’s just how it was.
Now I’m not totally on board with the whole ‘Balogun return’ myself, however at least the guy totally loves us, would run through walls for us and will hopefully help install that attitude in some of the new guys. Morelos seems like the type that would only ever really care about Morelos. Unfortunately for him what he doesn’t seem to have realised is that in doing so he’s shown other clubs that about himself, and therefore not as many are interested in him as should be and would be if he’d continued to care and to perform as he did a few years back.

I suspect that part of Morelos problem is his Agent, he appears to pick the wrong guy every time.
The other problem of course is his attitude.
If we signed the Morelos of old that was immense during the Gerrard Era then he would be immense, unfortunately I don't see that happening for a myriad of reasons.
The English Press is linking him with Everton who are in dire need of a striker but so far nothing substantive on that rumour.

Morelos cares for a lot more people than you, he runs a charity for folk less well off in his home country where a lot of his salary was used to fund. if that's only caring for himself then fine.

Geesadodo. I am in no way ‘slating Morelos’. I have merely stated undeniable facts about his time with us. He was a great player at times and at times I loved him playing for us but I also wasn’t blinded to what were his faults. And it’s not part of my job to learn other languages. If my job took me to other countries to work where I was paid substantially every week I’d make sure I made the effort to learn that language like the vast majority of professional footballers do yet Morelos decided not to fit a long time. As I say I’m not ‘slating him’ I wish he had continued to perform the way he did for the first 3 or so years with us but the fact is his desire and performances tailed off, everyone could see that. And as he seems to now be finding, so could potential new employers, hence the reason he’s still without a club.

If Morelos was a TRUE DEDICATED PROFFESIONAL he would have walked into another club - YES he was great for us at times but let's not be blinded by fact he WAS/ IS overweight and had lost a yard at least - but that must be partially attributable to our fitness team for not assisting in getting him in prime shape - personally I think he realised that we needed him more than he needed us in last season and just thought he would do what he wanted - hence no club at present and yes if a club can get him super fit no doubt he will be an asset - but I feel that the time is right for change and there should be no return for him. ps Loved Buff in his prime - but that was many moons ago.

G4 - He was absolutely adored by all fans and we always fought his corner through his ill disciplined period and when pretty much everyone in Scotland was on his back. When you can’t motivate yourself to get fit or lose the weight that you need to get back firing for the club that pay your wages and then refuse a contract which tbh he was lucky to have even been offered anything at all with his attitude. Loved him but glad he’s gone. His agent obviously thought he could hold us to ransom and thought he’d be inundated with offers and he’s learnt a harsh lesson.

I don`t believe that Morelos, and Kent for that matter, weren`t offered new contracts. Parks comments at the AGM would suggest they were but they were wanting more than we could offer . By the time Beale arrived we had accepted they were leaving and so he said that they had not been offered new deals. If they had accepted new deals last summer we would have signed them both and at least had the option of selling them on for a fee.

Kent didn’t down tools, his form was just poor, like much of his Rangers career he never hit the heights consistently enough. His attitude and fitness was never in question. Anyway we’re talking about Morelos coming back, not Kent, to which I wouldn’t want either.
