Would just like to say to Alex Lowry - wishing you well at Jam Tarts - play with passion and showcase your talent and hopefully you will return to us next season a more rounded and streetwise player and then go grab a midfield shirt of your own at Ibrox. - here's hoping ??.

Fingers crossed ?? mate I like the boy I think he’s fantastic.

12 Jun 2023 12:50:18
Kent signs with Fenerbache.
Considering he struggled most weeks to break down any lower Scot Prem defence I would say his time may be short in Turkey - or maybe he will try for period of time then gie up.
May ask a local bookie what price for him to be back on English shores by Xmas? I hope his agent has obtained cash up front for wages as they are notorious for non payments. ?.

1.) 12 Jun 2023 13:01:48
All the best to him.

2.) 12 Jun 2023 13:14:16
I know he's not the sharpest tool (emphasis on tool) in the box, but this is madness. It has to be for the money, and that's it?! He'll never last out there! He'll be back in the UK this time next year on loan, or punted for peanuts.

3.) 12 Jun 2023 13:30:28
Good luck to Ryan Kent in his new venture.
Let’s stop with the sniping, starting to sound like that mob.

4.) 12 Jun 2023 13:35:18
Wish him well.

5.) 12 Jun 2023 13:47:10
And maybe he will thrive away from the pressure cooker of Rangers.

6.) 12 Jun 2023 13:53:20
Wish them well but time to move on.

7.) 12 Jun 2023 14:00:22
I wish our former winger ryan kent all the very best at his now newfound club in turkey fenerbache ?Was a fan of his and he's no doubt for me very talented, but he will never play for a club as big as ours although he might play in a better league with a healthier wage packet?I actually think he'll get more time on the ball over there which might well just suit him fine?Good luck kenty and go smash it?.

8.) 12 Jun 2023 14:09:06
Wish him all the best.

9.) 12 Jun 2023 14:10:05
Good luck to every player who has given service to Rangers.

10.) 12 Jun 2023 14:55:48
Totally agree Bigben, seems a strange move, good info John, you called that move weeks ago.

11.) 12 Jun 2023 14:57:23
"Starting to sound like that mob"?! Behave! The boy basically gave up for the last 2 seasons and was a big part of how much of a mess we ended up. But, as we're Rangers we need to put that aside and wish him well? Not a chance!

12.) 12 Jun 2023 15:03:06
He deserves all that's coming to him.

13.) 12 Jun 2023 15:10:06
No brainer for both, new start for Kent plus club will get future transfer fee, expecially if he performs. as we know he can, all the best to Kent.

14.) 12 Jun 2023 15:18:14
Gers how do we get future transfer fee.

15.) 12 Jun 2023 15:21:50
Why will we get future transfers fee gers?

16.) 12 Jun 2023 15:32:17
Totally agree Big Ben and as for the post that mentioned he may thrive asay from the pressure cooker of Glasgow he will get the same if not more in Turkey and if he doesn't perform the fenerbahce fans will give him some stick.

17.) 12 Jun 2023 15:32:58
Hes out of contract absolutely nothing to do with rangers anymore.

18.) 12 Jun 2023 15:39:34
Good luck to him. he honoured his contract and can’t be criticised for it. Once a ranger always a ranger.

19.) 12 Jun 2023 16:23:07
Hope they don’t turn against him.

20.) 12 Jun 2023 16:58:45
Always been a fan even when he hasn’t performed as well as he can this season. I wish him well but can’t understand why he would want to leave us and go to Fenerbahce. That’s a bit of a head scratcher, suggest to me there was no interest from down South at all.

21.) 12 Jun 2023 17:07:12
Good luck to the boy but in the grand scheme of things wasted his talent here last couple of years.

22.) 12 Jun 2023 17:23:32
John never worded that well meant Fenabache would get fee.

23.) 12 Jun 2023 17:34:42
Gers58 - We don't get any part of a future transfer fee as he left us out of contract.
It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, but can't help but think he'll struggle. If he thought our fans could turn when he put in repeated poor performances, he'll get a shock if he tries downing tools over there.

24.) 12 Jun 2023 19:24:00
Cool gers.

11 May 2023 09:25:42
A big shout out to a TRUE Rangers legend John Greig who will lift the William Hill SFWA Lifetime Achievement award this year following others like Archie Gemmill and Sir Alex Ferguson - oh how I wish he could still pull his boots on and play and lead our team. Thanks for everything Captain.

Blue-Floyd

1.) 11 May 2023 11:21:52
Legend is used to much these days when it's not deserved but John Greig is a true legend and imo Rangers greatest.

2.) 11 May 2023 12:39:38
Myself and my kids have met him a few times. Gent of a guy who is as hard as nails and bleeds blue.

3.) 11 May 2023 14:00:48
A true leader on the pitch, I remember as a young boy watching him play what he lacked in skills was more than compensated by character and determination.
These are the very traits that have been missing this season not a single member of the current squad could lace his boots. Truly well deserved honour.

4.) 11 May 2023 14:10:16
John Greig was my Hero growing up, they don't make them like him now ??.

5.) 11 May 2023 15:18:22
Used to meet up with John every Friday in an airline lounge, if i remember rightly he had a travel agency in Wishaw. we were invited to what was called a one two one club in St Vincent St. Hell of a nice guy but steered away talking about his playing days at that venue which was understandable.

6.) 11 May 2023 15:19:02
Watp same as, big Greigy was my hero too, an absolute Ranger through and through.

7.) 11 May 2023 18:33:25
I wanted to be like John Greig when I was a lad, and had a supporters club tie when I was 16 that came from the John Greig tie shop, I still have it and I'm nearing 70 now. He always epitomised what a Rangers player should be.

Well lads after few days contemplation the hurt and anger is still there.

I have one thing to say to MB and that is please get all Sundays players in a tactic room sit them down and on two screens simultaneously show the Hearts game at Tynecastle and Sundays old firm side by side and ask the subtle question - why a major effort and desire against Hearts and a stroll in the park vs Celtic? - the two games are like night and day.
As I said before I don't mind getting pumped by a team when 100% effort and commitment is shown - but that wasn't case on Sunday. Tactics or not our players were slow to shut down and couldn't mark a Saturday coupon - no excuse for this!
I think we need to ask the SFA to start our games at 40-45mins each week as it takes us that amount of time to realise we are in a game.
Am afraid until we have the same desire hunger and attitude they show in most of their games we will not match Celtic nor catch them if this malaise continues.
I only ever played and coached at reasonable Amateur level but if any team I played in or coached started a half the way we did on Sun there would have been full scale battles in our dressing room.
Apart from a cameo of about 10mins from Alf the rest of our game was deplorable - if the Kent and Alf lovers don't see the lack of desire by our so called superstars then I don't know what to say. They along with many others are dragging the team down and personally I want them gone - enough is enough - let's build anew as these guys are going through the motions and just causing our team to stagnate. They are like a pair of old Hollywood superstars living on past glories.
Celtic have built a team almost from scratch after losing league to us and basically that's what we need with the amount out of contract players and dead wood at Ibrox. - we are signing better quality players it is said but a good few more are needed after watching that effort.

Blue-Floyd

1.) 28 Feb 2023 09:12:16
Hearts were absolutely woeful against us that night.

2.) 28 Feb 2023 09:24:47
Bluefloyd it takes time Beales only been in a couple of months he needs until next season with players signed he will build us some team or do we sack him now only asking this as many celtic men wanted ang out the door after about the same time but big difference here 15 games 13 wins 1 lose 1 draw.

3.) 28 Feb 2023 09:25:09
Hearts were absolutely rank rotten that night against us. It may have made us look better than we were that night.

4.) 28 Feb 2023 09:29:20
Sweep just as we were woeful against them on Sunday - but at least v Hearts we shut down spaces and got in their faces! Effort costs zero.

5.) 28 Feb 2023 09:38:43
Correct Blue Floyd we all seen the effort in the hearts game that wasn't there on Sunday.

6.) 28 Feb 2023 09:47:06
Yes but celtic are 100% better than Hearts Blue-Floyd. That's like the Liverpool manager putting on 2 videos of them beating us 7-1 and losing 5-2 to Madrid. You learn nothing from it.

7.) 28 Feb 2023 09:48:05
Beale - Don't think I mentioned sacking Beale in my post? - I think MB does have a vision and our board needs to support that and I gladly support that - however our desire and attitude stank for long periods of the game - you get out of a game what you put in and we put in very little.

8.) 28 Feb 2023 09:58:21
There is a significant difference in playing against a Hearts Team that falls well short of the quality of the Celtic Team that we played on Sunday.
Had we won then too many, our Board included, would have thought that we were back. In reality, we have a long way to go and there needs to be a significant upgrade of the players we sign.
For me, Beale is at the start of the journey. he will need the support of the Board this summer to bring in four or five new players and get rid of those that will never be good enough. He has a difficult task ahead. He needs to replace Arfield, McGregor and Davis with players of a similar or better quality, our squad needs a total revamp and unless something dramatic happens in terms of funding, it will take another couple of seasons at best to get close to where we should be.
It is easy to be critical of Managers when the Club has only won one league title and a Scottish Cup but we need to look at the quality of players that these managers were allowed to sign.

9.) 28 Feb 2023 10:06:26
Bluefloyd not you personally mate but I can see it coming soon and your spot on Beale needs a couple of windows to get players he wants, sweep effort against hearts that effort wasn't there on Sunday.

10.) 28 Feb 2023 10:34:36
Sweep - Hearts are 3rd in our league and Celtic are in our league too - Liverpool and R Madrid are in different leagues both factual and financially so don't get the analogy - can I ask you if you were happy with effort and desire for Gers on Sunday? - that is the point I am trying to get across. Not standard of teams we play.

11.) 28 Feb 2023 10:56:52
3rd in the SPL is not a good side to judge against Celtic.

12.) 28 Feb 2023 11:05:43
Sweep effort against hearts wasn't there on Sunday.

13.) 28 Feb 2023 12:56:16
Sweep - 2nd in league is ALSO not a good side to judge against Celtic at moment either going on Sundays performance!

14.) 28 Feb 2023 15:09:59
2 different animals playing v hearts and playing the other mob.

RIP Dickie Davies - World of Sport.
The first sports presenter I remember seeing on TV in Black and White (first pay per view - shilling in the back of telly?) all those years ago.
Good innings mate of 94 - hope we are all lucky to see that number. ?.

Blue-Floyd

1.) 20 Feb 2023 08:32:56
I'm sure Dickie apologised for the f in fog when the letter f actually fell off the board he was presenting from. RIP Dickie.

2.) 20 Feb 2023 09:16:09
Yes one of the faces a generation grew up watching in an era when there wasn’t blanket tv coverage of football. Dickie, horse racing and wrestling meagre rations ?.

3.) 20 Feb 2023 09:19:02
Rip Dickie. 94 that's superb and a great effort fella thanks.

4.) 20 feb 2023 19:02:08

Would be happy to see Davies move on as most times it looks like the desire and overall effort is not there - assume his heart is elsewhere. A better replacement is obviously still required though - More than happy with a fit Souttar in at CH so long may that continue.

Went to bed content last night in knowing that we has managed to offload that goalscoring dud Colak who doesn't fit Beales system and replace him with players who play in better leagues across Europe who obviously DO FIT BEALES SYSTEM - . Also keep as many wingers as we can who are dire - that's a good plan. We had no game changers to bring on up front - what does that say about our buying?
I hope that come that hallowed day when everyone on that pitch works out the system that Beale wants and each player gets it - thus we WILL GEL but by then we won't be 6-9 pts behind in the league.
I sat last night willing us to go for jugular at 2-0 but at back of mind had fear in what was to come - we always seem 2 mins away from a panic or calamity - for the money that Beale has spent HE NEEDS TO MAKE THING RIGHT AND FAST or I may need to get back up my loft and look for that PANIC BUTTON.

Correct - we played Killie game with less intensity and press than most of preseason friendlies - we MUST shut down from front to back tonight and have no passengers -we also must commit players by taking them on - far too busy looking for a pass in final third rather than getting defenders turning to face their own goal - only guy willing to take players on in regular basis in our current team is Cantwell - Sima seems reluctant to take the ball to them and that worries me -we need quality delivery into box something that was sorely missing v Killie- hopefully things will click tonight starting with 100% HARD WORK ALL OVER PITCH.

Pound for pound I believe Souttar is a better CH than Goldson and he also doesn't fling his arms about and look for scapegoats when errors occur in defence as Goldson frequently does- he also reads the game well and puts his head in to tough situations a la Richard Gough - It will be good to have four CHs in Balogun Goldson Souttar and King as season will take its toll no doubt. Long may he stay fit! Hopefully he will get me a goal or two as 1st scorer as I like my CH prices at bookies?.

ASA -getting better but was nervy second half until we got 2nd goal -still feel we need to kill teams off sooner so no doubts arise but hopefully that will come as more games get under our belt. Desire and energy should be a given and should be there in spades no matter what the game is! We must be more clinical in front of goal but hopefully goals for new boys will give them more confidence too - Lammers looks out of touch and nervy - wonder how my old mate Colak would have fared given the same service?

Feel that we ask too much of Cantwell when he comes far too deep -prefer him playing in top third just behind strikers - that's where we and he will reap all the rewards. Get others to do the dirty yards.
The lad has class and can commit players and get fouls/ pens with his determination to go bye players - let's use him wisely!

When you add width and pace, goals come when defenders go running back to their own goal - it isn't rocket science so hence the need for pacy wingers who can produce on regular basis- if Matondo/ Sima could do this on a semi regular basis we would not need to look elsewhere so time will tell.

Cifuentes looked the part too also Souttar seemed commanding again.
Sima and Matondo did well surprisingly but Dessers looked a bit lost at times regarding decision making - hopefully its just a spell and he comes out of it soon.
