Robbie Neilson is a good coach, he wouldn't necessarily have taken someone's place and we certainly never 'dodged a bullet' with a Mount Vernon boy brought up with Rangers in his heart, who was an 'S' form with us and who we should have signed.

Having a mixed dynamic could work wonders a knowledge of scotland, n a knowledge of Europe,

I've always liked Neilson, and I think he would have been a good addition. He's a Rangers man, who knows the game, and doesn't take any crap. Also, the fact that punched Chris McGuire, helps in my admiration for him.

The rumour came from Robbie himself. He said it during a radio interview. My understanding is that he was asked if he would be interested by a third party. Contact was not made directly by the club to Robbie. He had said he would have had an interest, but I believe that he always would have more focus on getting another managers position, which he now has in the USA.

Thought he did a relatively good job with Hearts, twice. Did he not do okay with DU as well? Either way not unhappy with the coaching staff we have given the start they have made.

Lots of former S forms kicking around and a whole stadium of people with Rangers in their heart, no offence to them, but I wouldn't want any of them as coaches at Ibrox. Neilson has no links to Rangers as far as I am concerned and if we are bringing in someone alongside Phil, then it should be someone who has inside knowledge of the club and Scottish football. We appear to have settled on Alex Rae for that role .

As an S form, a term that probably doesn`t exist anymore its so log ago. let's go for Greg Taylor as a coach, he was in the youth set up. Playing at this level means you haven`t even had a pro contract. How much about the internal workings of the club do you know as an U16 player . No link as far as I`m concerned.

Butland has been almost flawless since he joined, gives a huge confidence lift to the defence and the whole team. I'd hope he is here for a good while yet.

I think he’s only leaving for 1st team guarantees at a top flight epl club. Even at that, he may want to stay here and get a taste of Europe and challenge for trophies. He’s on good money and he’s absolutely adored by the fans.
He may have found his club for life, although I also worry if a top English club lose there no1 they injury that they come after him.
The reported £4m buy out clause worries me as why ask for it? Strange.

My Star, I really liked him when he was at Monaco, I thought he was great, sadly finishing 6th wasn't good enough for the board. However, that has meant my new club gains from Monaco's loss. :)
