Morning Guys, a friend from Holland massive PSV fan (really dislikes us haha) has said we are sniffing around a FC Twente left back called Gijs Smal. Last year of contract, valued around 5 million, big strong, very technical, lovely left foot. Has anyone heard anything along these lines, he told me on Sunday but been too busy to post?

Yilmaz can't attack, his final ball is terrible, he can't attack and he's always injured, he's 5 foot 4 also. Not saying he won't come good but for me this Gijs Smal looks a player, strong fast athletic, left food like Borna had 10 assists last season and he isn't a nervous wreck like Borna and doesn't hurt that's he's around 6 foot 2. If we can get rid out Ridvan and Borna i'd love this boy to get signed but he'll likely end up in Italy or Germany as we are not the only club scouting him from what i was told.

Borna was good last season. He had 9 assists and 1 goal in the SPFL. He had one of the top 5 overall match ratings for the season.
Also, look at how quickly people criticise delivery when Borna or Tavernier aren’t there. People cry out for a full-back who is better at defending but they will detest the lack of crossing ability.

@Verdant having looked up Smal last season he had 2 goals d 10 assists in Dutch league, he's a bigger stronger Unit and to my knowledge not a bottler like Borna although untested as he only plays for Fc Twente. He does look very left footed, his crossing and set plays look on a par and he's only 25. As previous i don't know how serious we are or how much it would cost to get him but he's a massive upgrade on what we have already.
Re Borna being good last season, he's good when we don't need him you know it and i know it when he faces Celtic he will revert back to type and freeze like a deer in the headlights. He need stronger Physically and stronger mentally if we are to progress and Borna for me Borna has the weakest mentals of any Rangers Player I've witnessed in my years supporting the club.

I don't know where you all stand on the ticket allocation topic but for me after the weekend both clubs should come together and come to an agreement for no fans ever no matter what game we have to play. After that Banner they released and the timing of it talking about death and having it on the 66 minute mocking the Ibrox disaster there can be no coming back from that.

Regardless of whether you want or don't want it to return the way it was, i can't see how you fix it mid season. People have bought season tickets in that area that includes the Celtic games. You can't go back on that now (for this season anyway) . Even to then tell those people next season they won't get the celtic games is a bit unfair on them.
If it's financially better for us to have the broomloan stand sold out with full price season tickets rather than cheaper tickets that don't include the Celtic games then i also don't have an issue with that. You're rewarding our own fans for their support rather than please 8000 people who think very little of our club and often try and paint this picture that we are an irrelevance to them.
We are not breaking any rules by offering them what we do now and i guarantee if we said we will give them the broomloan if they give us 8000 seats right behind one of their goals, rather than be stuck away in the corner with a lot of restricted views, then they would tell us to poke it.
I agree the atmosphere is better when there is more away fans (or its at least a bit of a more even atmosphere) but i genuinely don't think that fact alone merits switching back when you consider all of the above issues relating to it.

Sorry guys, I personally don't believe the atmosphere has diminished as much as people make out. The only difference is that the chanting comes from a single but equally noisy source. I am very much against giving a bigger allocation than what's afforded to every other team in the league. If they refuse to take up the allocation then that's equally as fine. Much as we fans like to go support our team at Parkhead, the restricted view and being herded like cattle going into the stadium isn't worth it in my opinion.

We shouldn`t even consider it until they are prepared to give our supporters an "end" like they want from us. The derby was diminished the moment that they rebuilt their stadium and then stuck our supporters up in a corner. They struggle to be heard and are not seen by the TV cameras, whereas their fans get the whole of the Broomloan. Look after our own, if you buy a season ticket for that end you should get to see the two biggest league games of the season. Also where do you put the UB too. No way just down to coincidence. Have to question things like preseason, strength and conditioning, training, medical science etc to prevent injuries. The number of occasions someone is injured with a minor knock that ends up months with setback after setbacks is concerning. as well as that with so many injuries players have had to play with niggles leading to more. Needs to be seriously looked at in the summer if not before. If so many different players are consistently breaking down then methods should be examined.

This window show's our true finances in my opinion, we may be able to strengthen in the summer but the dead wood needs to go first.
Raskin excited about, i watched a lot of Union last season and caught highlights of this boy and thought he was a player so glad to get him in the door.
My only worry is defensively, if Goldson or Davies ( very underwhelming, no physicality and makes a good few mistakes ) gets Injured we have Zero cover, Souttar will play less than 30 times over his contract would not surprise me if he is basically finished, Herlander out for the season, we have King and Sands to rely on and if that's the case we need to pray we get no more injuries. King will never make it as a Rangers player, he will end up down the leagues.

Ben Brereton Diaz - out of contract in the summer with Blackburn and easily one the best players in the championship. With Alfie not looking likely to get back to his best and still making very high wage demands we should cut out loses and offer Diaz the same if not higher wage - large signing on fee in the millions - sell on % too. All pie in the sky but he would show true ambition, maybe with CL football he could be persuaded.
We badly need a new keeper if young Robbie isn't seen as the answer and a move that wouldn't break the bank in the summer would be Arnaurd Bodart from Standard in Belgium 24, and a great young keeper valued around £3.5 million. Kovacevic from Rakow in Poland would be my number 1 choice but his reputation has grown and talks of his value soaring over 5 million now.

This Moses Simon would be a terrible signing 28, a goal or assist every 3 games in France 5 foot 6 so a midget and people are saying Physicality. His values at 8 million would be on decent wage and would have zero resale value.
Rangers should be looking at signing Ernest Nuamah from Nordsjaelland in Denmark, valued at 6 million scoring for fun stronger and faster younger at only 19 and is lighting up the danish league.
Siging Nuamah would be too ambitious for Rangers, we know how they like to sign ( except Yilmaz ) . Rejects at other clubs trying to sniff out a bargain rather than Investing in potential.
