If its a fee that Aberdeen can afford then it can`t be too much . Might be worth a punt as a development youngster in midfield . Give him a season to be ready to replace Jack in the squad next summer.

Anyone heard anything about kieran Dowell, doesn't seem to be in any of the team videos going to spain, was a bit of chat of him wanting back down south but he loomed good in hast couple of games.

Dowel is a decent player, but maybe he just can’t settle in Scotland, we all know that it’s a rough league
( no prisoners taken) or his family might just want to go home? Too many leaving because their excuses are they can’t settle, they are only a few hours away, it’s not as if its Australia.

This window is quite confusing, don’t know who’s going to be here or not! Probably a good thing that people like me know nothing.
If I’m honest I really wanted that player from Fenerbache, I thought he’d have been perfect! But I get we can’t just pay someone 60k a week, but isn’t Silva on 80k? PW, must have took a massive pay cut!
Only rumour so far that I've liked, obviously there’s the Shankland thing but not in this window! I think he will be a Rangers player one day! Summer possibly.
But I just hope PC has someone in mind for our number 9 role, Dessers isn’t for me, he’s to slow and misses chances that matter in games and looks like he panics when through on goal. Is it 8 goals he’s scored? That’s shocking considering the chances he’s had in a team that creates loads of chances. Sima is on 14 and he’s our left winger.
One thing that I keep wondering was didn’t John Bennett say that what we spent in the summer wouldn’t effect what PC has in this window. Or was that just another way of saying we’ve spent our money, so there’s no money anyway. Loans and trying to punt Ridvan and get rid of other players before we can even think about loaning players. Seems dire. I know we got Silva but we’re needing a lot more than him. I know the wage bill needs to come down though so maybe that’s the focus first. But what if we can’t get rid of as much players as we need too? Are we then stuck. Roofe is a wage thief. Tom Lawrence too. I do a sport we’re I actually get hurt. And I’m never injured for that long. And I’m 36. It’s sad tbh because a lot of people thought we had a good transfer window at the end of the summer. Turned out to be a disaster.
I think i need a chill pill, I’m still raging about the old firm game that was there to be won. Need a clinical striker.

Dowell has had an injury with us but he has not had a career laced with injuries to be fair, the boy can play and has taken his chance so will be here till summer at least a think, Dowell and Stirling were both rumoured to be going back to England this month but most likely just down to not much game time and assuming that his would be the case, if not for those two and young McCausland breaking into the team we could of been looking at almost a full rebuild.

Guys imo transfermarket can be reasonable accurate. They value dowell at 2 million, I’d take that with sell on and an add on if team get playoff or promoted.

Right now, with the exception of Butland and Tav, there isn't one of our players that I would be desperate to hold on to if the right offer was received. Most of us hoped that the revamp of the squad last summer would bring a significant upgrade, as it transpired this did not happen although it is early days with the likes of Sterling and young McCausland and they certainly look like they have something to offer.
Come the summer, (unless by some miracle we are able find a buyer this month, we should be glad to see the back of Roofe and Jack, good players in their day, but far too injury prone and unless we are likely to see a change under the new medical team I would reluctantly add Lawrence and Souttar to that list.

Stevie, matt oriley is similar in height and build he doesn't have any problems for his position. The injuries are an issue but height is irrelevant i think. Will have a part to play if he stays ?.

Why do we keep putting Sima out on the left of the front 3, i know Beale likes lammers and he seems to prefer the right/ centre but Simas best footy has come from wide right. Surely give the boy a chance to play his favoured position, also tav prefers to hit the ball up the wing which would suit him better where Barasic prefers a close pass which would get Lammers on the ball more often.

Sima has clearly played as the left sided forward, not central and not as a 10. Guys best football came playing off the right hand side at Red Star, thought his best game was against hamburg where again his starting position for his runs was right to left. He doesn't have the close skill to cut in onto his right on first viewing.

Last season we were linked with thijs Dalinga from eredevisie b, does anyone think we will be looking there at all, lots of early 20s players excelling in that league, emil hansson is definitely one we would hopefully be looking at, posting great numbers for goals and assist, looks similar to kents style but with goals.

Not making excuses for Kent as he has been poor but comparing someone else's stats from another league that plays the same position is imo a waste of time. How many of these players or teams play against a low block 34 games a season.
I really hope whoever we sign can pkay against that system but not many will have tried.

Has paddy not been injured most of this season? Hasn't been in a lot of squads, not sure we shoukd be letting an ever present player go and brining in someoem who has missed half a season.

There is also a limot as to what kind of player will sign to the spl, they will have wage caps etc, they are not going to be signing 20m players on 60k a week, it will still be 4-7m players on 30kish. Our squad if fit would be able to win this current season, we need to get 2 fit players for each position, win our home old firm games and we will be right up there.

Its not as easy as just switching kit manufaturer, castore do a lot more than just make our kits, pretty sure they pretty much run the retail side of the club, website, shops etc. They have been good for us and we have been great for them.

If Silva had signed yesterday instead of before the window people would be buzzing, he is probably as good an option as we could hope for in January, guy will score goals, his overall game is also good which help bring others into the game ans create chances for them. Think too many had their heart set on a big money move for Shankland.

We are going to need to have our best ever pre season if we are losing goldson tav lundstram amd butland, no ones overly happy with the striker position either so potentially the entire spine of the squad is going to leave and be replaced, we also have a problem at full back and we have no wingers. Clement and the recruitment staff have their work cut out big time.

His 2nd effort took a deflection and should've been a corner, also clipped the bar, so realistically could've been on target, his two baloon shots were a joke though, he tries and keeps going but he isn't a good enough goal scorer sadly.

Walsh 100% bottled it in regards to booking McGregor early doors and sending off Johnson and Bernard, both should have walked. Bernard's first one on Goldson should've been a booking, his last one on Goldson should've been his marching orders. Johnson elbow on Sima is almost a red on its own.
