A week after the cup win I was chating to a celtic supporter during
a discusion about both teams he said that he heard our players were not to happy about a bonus they were expecting, Ithought him saying that was just banter but now i'm wondering if it is true and has caused a change of attitude with the players since then.

Why would a celtic fan know anything about Rangers financial bonus agreements, is your friend also a financial expert ?.

2.) 18 Apr 2024 15:09:07
Sorry I don't believe that our drop off is simply that when it got serious certain players wet the bed and the others aren't good enough to cover for those guys.

3.) 18 Apr 2024 15:41:33
What is the bonus for? I see no reason to pay a bonus to our players of any significance!

4.) 18 Apr 2024 17:04:18
Correct one Walter.

5.) 18 Apr 2024 18:04:21
do not know if it is still the same but were bonouses not sorted out at the start of the season.

6.) 18 Apr 2024 19:12:10
Beauty, that is the norm.

7.) 18 Apr 2024 21:23:27
Id give them a big pair a steelies to the santa claws as a bonus.

8.) 18 Apr 2024 23:11:03
Boys will not be happy the cash they winning the league and the club getting champions league will be quick a sum I believe but it’s up to them to make that happen if we win every game and beat them at Celtic park we still have a chance.

9.) 19 Apr 2024 09:32:18
aye because they aren't paid enough lol.

Gone are the days when players played for the badge. its a disgrace.

10.) 19 Apr 2024 14:22:24
These bonuses are always sorted before the season starts.

Q P R will probably be looking for a new manager soon, does anyone here think M Beale should try and get his old job back if it does become available. I myself thing he could manage a bottom half championship team, without the pressure he heaped on himself with us.

alawalaw

1.) 25 Oct 2023 12:33:53
Don't think he could manage a good dinner.

2.) 25 Oct 2023 12:39:38
I don’t see why QPR would take him back. He’s done nothing here to prove he’d deserve that job.

3.) 25 Oct 2023 13:01:52
David, he didn't do a lot at qpr to suggest they would want him back either tbh.

4.) 25 Oct 2023 13:03:50
David, he didn't do a lot at qpr to suggest they would want him back either tbh.

5.) 25 oct 2023 14:13:55
i second that bar, twice.

6.) 25 Oct 2023 14:39:01
He was getting sacked first time round, but we stepped in and paid them compensation could not believe there luck.

7.) 25 Oct 2023 15:30:23
personally, I feel he should leave coaching in the rear view mirror. A DOF might be the best option for this very poor manager.

8.) 25 Oct 2023 18:34:06
???From what I hear the fans would go f*ckin tonto. They loved it when we took him off their hands.

06 Oct 2023 12:47:07
I would have tried to bring in the ex St. Johnston manager to take charge while searching for a new manager. Davis and Rae are not managers, and depending on how long the board take to appoint someone they may end up being tarred by the same brush as Murty.

alawalaw

1.) 06 Oct 2023 16:19:46
Callum Davidson no no.

12 Sep 2023 02:28:12
Beale spoke about how he got some of the new guys in early on in the transfer window, this would give them time to settle in and get some game time in he said. I myself thought it was a good idea, now i'm wondering if he actually seen them playing, and what did he see that no one else can.

alawalaw

1.) 12 Sep 2023 08:36:10
Especially Dessers.
What is even more surprising/ confusing is that Beale continues to play Dessers. Surely he must see what everyone else sees.

You could honestly find a better no9 at a few of Sunday league games across the country.

2.) 12 Sep 2023 08:47:02
Tbf to dessers I thought he looked sharp 1st half of OF n game but a lot of people thought he was honking. I thought he looked sharp 1st half.

3.) 12 Sep 2023 09:45:37
possibly it is just Beale and how he’s setting the team up and how he wants them to play
Possibly a new manager with better experience etc might actually get these players playing to a higher level
we will never know unless Beale really can’t turn it around in the big games in Europe coming up and most importantly the next game at St Johnstone?

4.) 12 Sep 2023 10:25:25
That's what people said about Ange and his signings about the same time into his Celtic tenure. He was knocked out of the CL qualifiers by a team in Denmark, he was 6 points behind in the league, who are all these guys he is signing from Asia? Nobody has herd of them before, and they look average, maybe this is a massive mistake…

Imagine they sacked him then? Instead, they gave him time, it clicked together, and started winning. We might learn something from this. After all, Beale win 29 of the 33 he was in charge of large season so it’s not like he doesn’t know how to win consistently. He has the highest win rate of any Rangers manager in the clubs history.

5.) 12 Sep 2023 11:16:34
When Mr Beale came thru the door, I was very positive, young manager, brains behind S Gerrard, etc so it was quoted, we finished 92 pts but not enough to win the lge, he started the season saying all recruits in early doors good business . Things have gone wrong and at this moment are a mess, hopefully this is a wake up call, most managers have a blip, so hopefully this is Mr Beales blip . Roll on Saturday 3 pts .

6.) 12 Sep 2023 11:20:25
Verdant that’s just bs tho, ange was just in the door Beale has been here 10 months. They wanted rid of ange after a game or two but then it turned around it’s a big difference.

7.) 12 Sep 2023 11:22:33
Verdant Beale is on about his 40th game not his 10th and if you spoke to any Celtic fan at that time they all said it was clear what ange was trying to do but it just wasn’t clicking yet. Can you say the same for Beale? Also may have the highest win rate but 1/ 7 against Celtic and 0 big games won tells a different story.

8.) 12 Sep 2023 12:27:04
Verdant, look at Ange at Spurs. Give it up, Beale couldn't lace his boots. Talk about flogging a dead horse.

9.) 12 Sep 2023 12:44:43
Beales initial comments that Dessers would get 10 plus goals for us seemed a bit strange given that he`s a striker and we would expect our attacking midfielders to get that amount . Watching him now I can understand it, he doesn`t get into goalscoring positions and on the odd occasion that he does, he is not a great finisher . To be fair to him he has shown awareness and good passing to set up others for goals both allowed and disallowed. For me his only possible value is as part of a striking pair with his partner having a bit of pace to stretch defences and run in behind. This brings us back to playing with a back three and wing backs which is the only way to fit two strikers into the team without leaving huge gaps elsewhere.

10.) 12 Sep 2023 12:48:39
“ Verdant that’s just bs tho, ange was just in the door Beale has been here 10 months. ”. - ?

Rangers performed a summer rebuild very recently. We lost more than 10 0ayers this summer (many were first-steam regulars) . 9 new players have come in. It will take time for this new team to come together.

This didn’t happen 10 months ago storm, it’s happening now. Some of these new players didn’t Singh until as recently as a few weeks ago.

11.) 12 Sep 2023 12:54:39
Let’s not compare Beale to Ange, the guy won the league on his first season, then swept up the following season. Beale has won nothing.

12.) 12 Sep 2023 13:41:10
Verdant how many of them played against Celtic?

13.) 12 Sep 2023 13:58:07
Great point David.

How many played against Celtic of the summer rebuild? How many played against psv? Verdant he is just not in the door. 10 months he has been here and you are trying to say it’s like ange ? embarrassing.

14.) 12 Sep 2023 13:58:52
The majority were signed at the start of the window also but don’t believe the truth eh? Verdant ?‍♂️.

15.) 12 Sep 2023 15:04:57
I have lost confidence in Beale myself but you have to laugh at this 10 months being portrayed like it's a long time at the club. He has not had one full season in charge just like Gio before him.

Is that really where we are, anything longer than 6 months being held against managers. I know we are all desperate for success but its turned us into a toxic fan base.

Although we had never heard of him Postecoglu is a very good manager with experience winning titles in multiple leagues. He also had some serious financial backing from Celtic, the guy spent a fortune on players in terms of our league.

On the other hand we brought in a rookie manager and gave him reasonable backing in the transfer market but hardly on a par with AP. But we want to compare them like for like, it's not a fair comparison to make.

16.) 12 Sep 2023 15:30:19
He was here before with Stevie G, so he’s hasn’t just been here for 10 months. Apparently, according to many he was the footballing brain. So it’s not like it’s all brand new to him is it? The excuses are wearing thin.

17.) 12 Sep 2023 16:57:27
Azul, I can assure you I am not making excuses for him as if he went tomorrow I would not be bothered at all.

But to include his previous time with the club in a different role is totally absurd. Only person making excuses there is yourself.

30 Mar 2023 10:50:23
I M O the reason Alfredo comes back to Glasgow looking unfit and not interested is on his return to Glasgow he is homesick. last year he had an extended leave at home due to his injury., while lying at his pool surrounded by his family he probably realised what he has been missing. I have been told his family don't like Scotland and don't visit him. again i m o he is hoping to get a move somewhere nearer home with a warmer climate. Rangers got 5 and a half good years from him and if he wants to leave the fans should be wishing him well.

alawalaw

1.) 30 Mar 2023 11:32:24
I will definitely wish him well and will look out of him in the future, he should be hitting his peak years now.

2.) 30 Mar 2023 11:55:35
So basically he's unprofessional then? He's not being held here against his will. If he doesn't like it here, and more importantly for him doesn't like his pay check, he should move his considerable arse down the road a bit instead of stringing us along, disappearing and coming back looking like a wrestler.

3.) 30 Mar 2023 12:11:49
Very well said DoTheBouncy I agree 100%.

4.) 30 Mar 2023 12:37:37
DTB, and how does he move he’s under contract the club didn’t want him to leave at least one substantial offer was turned down by the club so unless the club agree to him leaving he has to stay, at £1m he’s been a bargain and if he leaves I wish him all the best.

5.) 30 Mar 2023 13:06:58
I wish him well but do hope his time is up with us, a great servant but needs to move on for his sake and the club as well.

6.) 30 Mar 2023 13:22:46
What an absolute load of bollocks. Am sure most of our team are homesick doesn't give them the rite to come back late and out of shape whenever they feels like it. Gerrard, gio had attitude and fitness problems with him mb has asked for more from him. How on earth this guy keeps being defended is beyond me. I get he's our top European goalscorer before someone throws it at me. And a big well done to him for that. However not one person on here can tell me he has been good in spl absolutely mediocre at best. If he was banging them in I would understand the hype but he doesn't never has. Ppl ask why alf? because he gives us loads of reason to and imo has never been fully committed to our club we deserve better than a homesick out of shape guy with attitude problems. Folk on here saying if Kent would get 10 to 15 goals we wouldn't be in this position while the guy who is supposed to score the goals gets a pass. i do agree with Kent needing more goals but so does alf 11 last year 9 this year.

7.) 30 Mar 2023 13:36:30
100% agree with DoTheBouncy. He picked his career and that career Involves being away from the safety of home and earning compensation that will set him and his family up for life. Its a short career and you must play where your talent gets the best benefit and the weather is not an excuse. . he was a nobody before we bought him from Helsinki. he should never forget that and not signing an extension for me was mass disrespect to our club. same goes for kent. Liverpool were rubbing their hands at 7 million quid.

8.) 30 Mar 2023 13:46:29
Boy blue is obviously not a fan! ?.

9.) 30 Mar 2023 14:17:49
Deecee Morelos has signed extensions to his contract in the past. All things run their course it appears that this is the case here. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

10.) 30 Mar 2023 14:27:19
Bb I'll back any player that pulls on the rangers Jersey and is fully 100% committed. That's not the case with alf. It's simple as that.

11.) 30 Mar 2023 14:45:41
Vilified when he apparently always turn up late and overweight?
Vilified when he has the audacity to turn up on time and in decent shape?
Embarrassing take on a player who most on this thread don't want at the club or see as a first team starter anymore?‍♂️
Posters getting all precious and emotional over a player potentially seeing his future elsewhere - as if that hasn't happened before in the history of the club?‍♂️.

12.) 30 Mar 2023 15:24:01
How does being homesick affect your ability to get on a treadmill? Thankfully this is just your opinion.

13.) 30 Mar 2023 15:38:48
if he goes he goes, what none of you understand is it isn't easy getting family over to visit, have any of you tried to get visas. i have and it isn't just jump on a plane and get here. apart from that its all assumptions. and no he hasn't any excuses he is paid to play end of but the absolute abuse he gets from people on here is verging on hysterical. did you all say the same about boyd even mccoist. walter was critical of both of them about them capable of bringing more to the team. its actually quite sad actually the way we treat our own players and i'm not just talking about morelos. mark my words, to get someone else of the quality he has will not be cheap.

14.) 30 Mar 2023 16:15:20
Vilified when he apparently came back late and out of shape? Are we all making this up mph? Apparently doesn't come into it as it happened on more than one occasion.

15.) 30 Mar 2023 17:12:11
twacoos - he asks for a transfer, simple! He never did that at any point any of us are aware of. But granted, he can't move now. I can 100% guarantee you that when he moves on, he will not be goint to a club in Colombia. Homesick my arse, working his ticket is more like it.

16.) 30 Mar 2023 17:48:01
You need to learn to read, BoyBlue.
I said “apparently always “.
So does he always come back late and overweight?
No is the simple answer.
If you are going to take the time to express an opinion, at least take the time to read the post. ?.

17.) 30 Mar 2023 22:11:30
I love Alfredo and Ryan Kent … what about all the pies boydie ate with no return on his second outing . yet Some rates him a hero .
Alfredo is our top European Goal scorer . untill someone beats that …. Buffalo soldier for me.

18.) 31 Mar 2023 06:19:45
Good post MPH a and mols.

31 Dec 2022 15:10:25
hi This is the first time i have posted, I have been reading the posts for a few months. Iam a true blue who seldom misses a game even though I live over 60 miles from Ibrox. When on the bus coming from a game every one has a different opinion on something, at times it can get a bit heated but when we get home its all handshakes and cuddles until the way home from the next game. It seems on here if someone voice s an opinion and certain people don't agree with it they and to use a expression Tear you to ribbons, or worse still accuse you of belonging to the other mob. This is my opinion of the situation we find ourselves in, Celtic are bringing in players which at the moment they do not need but are doing so knowing they will be playing in C L next year and looking to go a step further, at the end of last season Rangers should have been doing this, not only to get the championship back but with a view to putting together a team for future european games I hope i'm wrong but if celtic score first then i think they will go on and score another 3 or 4.

1.) 31 dec 2022 15:24:33
the thing is mate, there’s a few who simply can’t differentiate between a rangers singalong site, and a rangers debate page

debate is good, some people who criticise a rangers player on a rangers site are still rangers fans, it’s not normal to simply support blindly

supporting rangers is a requisite on a rangers site

critisinm is allowed on every rangers bus, pub or house in the nation and always will be, i could just imagine someone trying to tell another guy not to have his say on my old bus,

seems a few on here think critism isn’t allowed on here, strangely it’s what's been done in football since time immemorial.

2.) 31 Dec 2022 15:31:48
Totally agree. Celtic are building for Champions League next year not strengthening to win the league they already have enough for that whilst so far at least it appears Rangers have all but conceded the league this year. You are right about the snipers on here just waiting to shoot the posters, but personally I don’t mind its all part of the fun, i'm old enough to take it on the chin ?.

3.) 31 Dec 2022 15:50:22
Good 1st post keep them coming ?.

4.) 31 Dec 2022 16:15:18
It’s difficult for us to bring in 1st team players with the wage bill being so high. I think we will need to sell/ release players before bringing more in.

I expect some of the higher earners to leave in January before some major surgery in the Summer.

5.) 31 Dec 2022 16:29:32
3 points tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how it will pan out 2nd Half pf the season, we should not show any fear at all for this, this is a game that any Rangers player should relish.

6.) 31 Dec 2022 16:35:57
And yet when people have an opinion you talk about keyboard warriors and meetings in car parks TT12?

7.) 31 dec 2022 16:48:07
monday irvger, i don’t want you to be getting up with a hangover and pouring yersel another beer in front of the telly to find yersel watching the darts .

8.) 31 Dec 2022 16:54:56
Its difficult sometimes we have to take a step back and big deep breath if you get annoyed, we don't know who's on the other keyboards, could be a 14 year old young lad or lass who's no had much experience with footy or an older chap in his 80s who doesn't understand football anymore and everyone in between. Patience and respectful is my motto but sometimes fall short normally on a sat night when half cut.

Celtics recruitment has been excellent over the last 12 months, that won't last forever just like our inconsistent recruitment. I don't know how good the players are in the J league and whether they could compete at CL level consistently, my guess is no or other clubs other than Celtic would take these players more often. (maybe they do though and i'm showing my ignorance? ) They have taken players from other markets but imo they are very good in the SPL and maybe EL but not anywhere near CL level.

9.) 31 Dec 2022 17:12:37
A win is a must, nothing less!

Unfortunately, they are leaving us behind, both on, and off the park.
After we won the league we blew it big time and it came back on us and bit us on the arse. Instead of investing real quality in the team, we brought in mediocre players and a poor manager, which resulted in them getting the upper hand, and from there, they have continued to progress domestically while we have regressed at a rate of knots.

Beating them on Monday isn't just a must, it's much more than that. Beat them and the seeds of doubt will be sewn, and they'll know they've got a fight on their hands. If we lose, well, that will be nothing short of a catastrophe.

10.) 31 Dec 2022 17:41:36
Baiting other posters again TT?

Narcissists never see the reality as they cry cry cry whenever someone says something they disagree with.

Live and let live and let everyone have an opinion ~ and be prepared for everyone’s opinion to be challenged, ie Banter, debate and occasionally argue no matter which carpark or who’s bus big man.

11.) 31 Dec 2022 17:51:24
Talking of investment I don't think it was us sitting on our hands or a lack of ambition, they simply have more money. With both squads fully fit i think there isn't much between us (transfermarkt shows our squad is worth more) but their squad has cost more than double ours with a wage bill 50% higher. Given how well we did winning the league then Europa final made us forget we are still rebuilding. Onwards and upwards for 2023.

12.) 31 dec 2022 18:32:37
il tell you something dk, i debate every day, you tell people that they shouldn’t debate and they are poor rangers fans,

13.) 31 Dec 2022 18:59:23
Good post DK
When will people understand.
We couldn’t buy fifa fair play we took a chance on Ramsey and the boy from united who is now playing out his skin.
We had to take baby steps. Or face a tepid time of which we have been in before . We are still fighting to get out the mire . Ask isle of Mull about cutting cloth . I think we have done an amazing job so far . We are not beat yet and the future is not all doom and gloom just because the east is on a high.

14.) 31 Dec 2022 19:28:31
Celtic have players who'll go for decent money jota, juranovich, hatate, kyogo we have no one imo we could demand good money for so we need to get lucky and inventive in market but I do agree with an earlier post we do seem to have gave up this season so I don't expect many in until summer
although Tuesday could change that thinking.

15.) 31 Dec 2022 20:04:22
Good post captain Tav and DK.

Before last weeks game against Aberdeen the players knew a win would have clawed back 2 points, this week the also knew a win would see them over the line, what more incentive did they need, when they did not bother their arse against these teams what will motivate them against Hearts.

progress in europe might be an enticement for a proven manager, that and having a budget of about 20 million to get into champions league and hopefully pay of the debt that takes us there. I think the main concern is who is going to choose our next manager.
