Wee Ridvan has been improving game on game and I honestly think folk forget when young lads leave home for the first time and move to somewhere like Scotland it's a culture shock and on top of that had limited game time.
We spent really good money on him and he deserves a decent crack at making it, only way he should be allowed to leave is if we get a higher offer than we paid.

Not just that John. Both clubs had originally agreed a permanent transfer but Yilmaz didn’t want to sign then in 6 months be at a second division side. It was his move to change it from permanent to loan, both clubs agreed on an obligation if they don’t get relegated.
Not the worst piece of business. 3 managers in 18 months have decided Yilmaz to not be good enough week in week out and that’s before you even take into account his injury problems.

Yilmaz was a good up and coming young player at Besiktas but coming to the SPFL was a mistake. He will do well on the continent where the football is more of an art than the Hurley burley of Scottish Football.

Think a loan deal isn’t ideal for us (imo) unless we are playing our cards close to our chest and the club have beck or smal ready to come in? You never know tho, he could go there and play out his skin and net us a bigger fee if there is no obligation to buy? Or he could go get a serious injury and then we are left with an injured, homesick unhappy player. I would rather we sold him permanently for as close an amount to what we payed for him. I’m sure pc and the club have a plan in place.

I was simply trying to defend his ability and potential. Too many fans jump on a player's back when it’s getting near the end of their stay.

Score predictions for tue? With the run we're on and the way the gaffer has the team performing I'd say a win is inevitable but we all know the sheep up the anti when playing us. N like folk have touched on, could get a lift frim new management team. Sterling if fit must start for physicality, failing that jack in there normally gets the job done. Why are so many folk on here desperate to turn all of our fullbacks into wingers??. The guy is only what 21 / 22 and is already a full Turkish international playing as a left back. Not sure how happy he’d be being told, ‘alright son, you’re going to be a winger now ok? ’
and before anyone says it, yes I know some players can be versatile and play a few positions (Sterling for example), but Yilmaz is a fullback and when fully fit a pretty good one. However may unfortunately not be right for us based on his height and the fact he’s spent so long being unable to make that position his own with us. No idea if it will happen (or even if we are trying to make it happen) but could understand the reasons for potentially swapping him with Doig.

Ridvan moving into midfield and his directness has been a big bonus, his willingness to continue to try the forward pass is what Clenent is looking for as well, would rather give him the run to the summer to see how far he can go it’s no coincidence that his form has got better with playing four games in a row, unless he’s unhappy I would be keeping him.

Always think back to lovenkrands we signed him as a forward but we shunted him out wide because of his pace and he was ok but it was only when MacLeish got injuries he moved him back inside and he started to bang goals in that season.
Always better finding your own position as early as possible ok to move one or two game here or ther to help team.
