I'll believe it when I see it with Butland. I think Cantwell would be very lucky to go to either of those clubs, but hope his agent is working overtime to find him a move given he's thrown the toys out of the pram. A real shame, as he could be making a difference for us now and making himself more attractive to potential clubs if he hadn't done that.

Don’t care one bit about cantwell.
Anything over £4m I’ll be happy with that. He’s nowhere near as good as he thinks. He has the talent but not end product very similar with Kent, although slightly better.
Butland, if sell for £10m or as high as we can get but 10 minimum.
We can sign 2 quality players for that. Even if it’s less fee and used fee on wages. Whatever works best.
A striker and a centre mid.
We’d pick up a quality keeper on a free, us with Butland, Celtic with hart a Michael and so on.

Kent was better than todd, kent scored OF goals, was excellent on our way to a Europa L fianl and defneces feared him. Todd has turned up a few times for us and embarrassed us on his weird SM accounts.
Yes Kent has downed tools towards the end for us- but so has Todd after giving way less. Kent was Great under Gerrard. Todd has never been great just thought he was.

Kent did fantastically well for us in a lot of big, important games and Todd has never done that . What I would say though is if Cantwell withdrew his transfer request and Kent wanted to come back they would both walk into our current team before the likes of Wright, Matondo, Lawrence, Dowell and even McCausland who I do like . They both would give us creativity and pace in attack that we sadly lack .
Cerny, Cantwell and Kent with a fit Danilo up top would create and score goals . They both also do their shift for the team .

Don't disagree Jimbo but I do think we are light in the attacking areas and adding more goals from the wings and midfield is crucial if we continue with Dessers and Danilo up top.
Sima has had 2 significant injuries in the last 2 seasons, a multimillion pound move for him would come with risk also. I really liked Sima And still hope he comes back but it inst without risk.

Clearly Sevilla are keen to offload Jordan. Having rad a number of reports, it looks like there is a ‘buy’ clause, though unclear whether this is an actual obligation.
They are perilously close in terms of their own FFP.
As for the player I can understand his reluctance to move to the north (as his entire career has been in sunny climes) . It does however appear his time is up in Spain and his options there are limited. Following Spanish Football it is clear there are actually only a handful of sides who have the resources to sign Jordán.
For me he is the type of player we should be seeking out (particularly for big games), though I suspect he’ll not be one who would be risked on a midweek cup match at say Arbroath.
Our market for ‘experienced’ players for me will be a mix of loans and players who have fallen out of Favour at their current clubs. No harm on this and if it gives us the quality required I’m all for it.

Alright peeps, been awhile since I posted but thought I would share some info, Whittaker is of interest again, mofokeng still being considered, Miller series interest possible devine involved in deal, Conway seems to want to come to us. Just I few snippets I've been picking up.
The Thing that does bother me was listening to Boyd and what he says about PC makes sense wouldn't surprise me that he does walk because we struggle to get players shifted to fund the players he needs.

Tom Thumb, you are rewriting history, Boyd played lots of OF games and scored 1 goal before Our best ever manager made the decision to drop him . In Europe his lack of ability to hold the ball up meant he didn`t fit the system we needed to use . Is it just me or are others noticing the same, the tabloids, media, certain fans of certain clubs panicking about this takeover happening at Rangers in the next few months.
Mostly the Tims are dishing it out and throwing mud at the wall hoping it sticks but fans of other clubs Aberdeen, hibs, Dundee Utd to name a few didn't want to see this happen either and are just happy seeing the rubbish from the east just keep on winning everything and don't want us to do well or win anything.
The mindset in our backwater duck pond is staggering at times.

Most of these players shouldn't be at our club still some of SGs, Gios, Beale, and now onto 4th manager after PC and the same thing happening these shysters have cost previous managers there job and even wee Barry looks like he is seeing thus hence drastic subs he made over last 2 games.
No manager will ever get a tune out of this shower and its time hopefully w the takeover that we tell them to gtfo ibrox once and for all.

So its looks like clement is away but I don't really blame him I blame the players most of them should not be near the club wage stealers.
Still some from Gerrard era that should of gone long time ago, then gio good manager but players downed tools on him EL final only papered the cracks.
Beales lot money wasted players were not interested in him and he struggled and spoke rubbish gone too.
Clement still with at least 8 of these shysters and brought in a couple of decent players but the riff raff of left overs from previous managers still there and guess what downed tools again, sound familiar if we don't get these wage stealers and riff raff out then the next manager will suffer the same fate.

After digesting Sundays game and the obvious London shindig before the players are just not up for it now granted PC has to work miracles with this lot be it his signings which 2 or 3 will come good for us but looking at the overall squad we still have quite a few of Beale's wage steelers in that squad and they have no desire or cojones to make this team better or bigger they know the club is struggling financially and know we can't afford to bring in better players.
Beale's leftovers need all gone in the summer everyone of them.
Then we have Tav who is not a proper captain, he can't get players to raise their game, can't get them to hit the front foot and can't even get them to play for club and supporters.
Onto PC, I like the guy, but he needs to change his tactics pronto as he struggles against low block teams and seems too stubborn to try something different. My preference has always been 4-4-2 and yes, he tried that a couple of times, but seems to revert back to his defensive midfield shape. He should be encouraging the team to have a right go at whoever we play.

Angus1812 the way I would play 442 is to have 2 blocks of 4 defence midfield 2 up front have one of the midfield a bwm and a AM the AM can be adaptable to slid in behind the two up top or play 2 wingers supported by automatic full backs and have 2 mids one holding to support defence and one to play as bwm.

For me it's 4-3-1-2, 1 has free reign, Fb's support in attacking phase 1 sits back 3 becomes a 4/ 5 and reverts in defensive phase, floods MF, opposition team has to commit and leaves space, they need to break from their shape to cover MF movement, as well as 2 up top. Look at attendances at St J, Ross County, Killie, Dundee. Falkirk, Thistle, Rovers, Dunfermline, Ayr all these clubs have better attended games and would be a no brained to bring them in.

Angus1812 the way I would play 442 is to have 2 blocks of 4 defence midfield 2 up front have one of the midfield a bwm and a AM the AM can be adaptable to slid in behind the two up top or play 2 wingers supported by automatic full backs and have 2 mids one holding to support defence and one to play as bwm.
