Kamara’s been a fantastic player for us but £9m is a lot of money. Hopefully GVB can get a massive chunk of that to reinvest. I think if we replaced him with a more attacking option, of real quality, most would be happy.

Kamara is a quality player and will thrive in a top league. I would like £10m or more but we cannot risk losing out on the potential to reinvest the funds received by running the risk of not completing the deal until deadline day which will inevitably mean more panic signings like January 2021!
I am sure Wilson will ensure that we secure a good sell on clause since Kamara will inevitably move for a significant fee to a bigger club in the future.
The one thing that I can't be critical of with Wilson is his ability to secure excellent outgoing deals, I would just like to see him sign half a dozen more Basseys rather than McLaughlins, Ittens, Simpsons and Sakala's?.

I would not miss Kamara if he was to go, for me one of the most over rated players we have had in a long time. He has shown on many occasions why his transfer fee was only 50k. Capable of playing a good game but not often enough.

Kamara is a great player. In the Old Firms and in Europe he’s invaluable. However, domestically, we need someone who can offer more going forward. This Rangers team lacks creativity.
If we sell Kamara the question is can Jack, Lundstrum, Davis, and Sands fill in when it comes to Europe and those games against Celtic. I believe they can for this season. What’s more important is that we bring someone else to help us break teams down in the SPFL.

Under Gerrard Glen Kamara started every single European game for us apart from away to Braga, Leverkusen and Alashkert. A total of 33 games he started.
He also started every game v Celtic under Gerrard.

I have absolutely nothing against gle, . However if we can get millions for him it represents good business. my understanding when he signed new deal we agreed to let him talk to other clubs if an agreed fee was met

If Glen kamara could score a goal or 2 the boy would be up there with the best in the world. The boys got some ability and is as good as anything that there is in Britain when he's played in centre mid he's no comfortable being played as an attacking midfielder would be looking between £12-15 million for him . the teams in England are throwing money about like candy to the weans guys from championship getting £25 million after 5 games take what we can get.

Callum why would i lie ?? if you look back to 20/ 21 season kamara played a lot from the bench. And very rarely did we play 3 of them 2 gether. Was usually 2 if the 3 with either arfield or aribo in the 10 role. he's a bit part player this season anyway so irrelevant to the conversation so we would be aswel cashing in as his stock will be getting lower and lower.

We are in a really good position with Bassey so should not be selling for anything under £25m and if there is more than one team interested it should be a decent bit above this.
He is happy at Rangers, he still has two years left on his contract, he’s young, he’s a full international who gets MoM performances at that level and he performs at European level including MoM in a European final.
Everything stacks in our favour so we should call the shots here.
Bassey is likely to have another big move after this as well so we need to have a sell on and if the buying club don’t want to include that then it will costs them now.

Could still see Arsenal as possible, Zinchenko sees himself as a midfield player and wants to play there more often although he can cover biscuit hips at a pinch . Bassey is a natural left back who can also play at centre back or in a back three which is the type of versatility Arteta loves. Man Utd have also been mentioned but they have just signed a left back and a left centre half so I don`t think that's a goer.

I love Tav, and I have constantly stuck up for him on here while he was getting it tight from a good few posters, so bear with me before jumping in and accusing me of being "a Tav hater". Tav has been, and continues to be, a great servant, and captain, of our club, but one stat is a concern lately. MPH wrote a good post, and in it, it pointed to a stat of players giving away possession. I looked further into this, and Tav is the worse culprit. Yes, his goal scoring abilities are phenomenal for a right back. Yes, he's always nearly present and very seldom injured. Yes, he's a machine up and down the pitch all day. However, it would appear that he is the biggest culprit for giving up possession, which as you must agree, has been one of our main weaknesses. I'm not having a pop at him, just highlighting that he needs to do better on this or it will cost us further.

I'd say there is more too it than just the number though mate. How many times does he lose it in the opposition final third? How often is it progressive passes trying to make something happen? No clue on the numbers haha but it's not just as black and white. I'd rather a play lose the occasional ball trying to make something than just safe passes all the time going side to side.

When you try and make things happen you lose possession, Got players around the leagues that have phenomenal passing % but play like ?s Tavs first thought Is run forward or play forward! For example remember Barcelona at there peak Xavi was an incredible footballer, Leon Brittan for Swansea had a better passing % in 2012 I remember the story in the press but he was a crab and played 5 yard passes constantly just trying not to lose the ball! Tavs a legend and a great player and Athlete!

I totally agree guys that part of the reason is because he's trying to make things happen, but it's still a concern. One of our main weaknesses right now is giving away cheap possession, and regardless of whether that is at the back, or when we're on the offensive, we still have to be careful. Giving away cheap possession while we're upfield has caused us a number of times when the opposition has countred, and scored. We know it happens, so not just Tav, but all players, have to be less wasteful.

Giving away possession against teams in SPL, outwith celtic, usually doesn't carry much of a threat, but as last season proved, there's always an exception to the rule. Giving away cheap possession in Europe, well that's a different matter.

Tav is the perfect modern day captain.
I'm delighted he's signed a new deal - however there's a part of me that would loved to have seen him play in the Premiership, just to see how he measures up.
I don't think he's Top 6 material, but think he'd comfortably cope in a mid table EPL side.

But along with others he is guilty of giving the ball away far too much.
And I'm not picking on him but this season so far:-
Averages losing possession 23 times per game.
Crossing - only 26% accurate.
Long balls - only 45% accurate.
Pass accuracy own half - 94%
Pass accuracy opposition half - 71%
Now if he even improved some of the above we would create better chances for the strikers etc.
But we certainly can't doubt his commitment to the cause.

You can’t keep the ball when your putting it into the oppositions net ? I think tav is doing well just now and building a relationship with Matty…. I also think Barasic is playing very well so I’m certainly not a Barasic slater . Team just needs a little time for new boys to really bed in
